Just booked for 7 of us for this October:grouphug: . Flying over from Edinburgh and stopping off in New York before arriving at WDW on Oct 9th! Last visit April 2006 so having WDW symptoms............that's WithDraWal symptoms!!:rotfl:
Derek

DH and I will be there in October, too. I just booked the plane tickets today!

We will be there in October too...not till 25th though...MNSHHP cant wait !!
we were last there in May so we're the same with the WithDraWal symptoms.

the kids and I just talked dh into taking us back in October. Don't have firm dates yet, but it looks like 10/14-18th or 19th!

I just booked today through AAA for 6 nights (from October 14-20) at POR-Riverside. We have only stayed at the Dolphin one time, so this is our "first" time...and we are on the dining plan...I am SO excited (we go to WDW at least once a year, but usually stay at our Hilton Timeshare).

I REALLY want to start planning, but of course there aren't any park hours out and you have NO clue when MNSSHP will be.

Just a little FYI that kinda "upset me"...this same week in 2006 the MNSSHP was held on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. That is going to stink because really we will only get the one night that we are at MNSSHP and then one other to be in Magic Kingdom at dark. Kinda makes me sad

With MNSSHP, we have never been...what is it like??

Has anyone else been to WDW during this time? How is the weather?? What about the lines? We were there in April of 2006 and again in May 2006 and it was HOT and busy. I am hoping for a little cooler (though not too cool, we are coming from MN and want it to be comfortable) and much less busy with two little ones. Oh and I bought the 10-day non expire park hoppers with the waterpark option, so I will keep my fingers crossed that maybe we could do that one day.

We loved staying at Riverside! It is a beautiful resort! It's a much different atmosphere than staying at the Dolphin.

If you go to www.mousesavers.com Mary has a list of dates for MNSSHP 2007. While they are not the official dates, Mary has really good resources so she has pretty reliable information.

We love MNSSHP! It's a lot of fun. The parade last year was fantastic (so much so that I still have the theme song stuck in my head). Don't miss the headless horseman that rides at the beginning of the parade. People of all ages ~not just kids~ wear costumes. Last year it was a pretty hot night when we went (I think it was 10/15) so make sure that if you dress up that you dress for the weather. My kids were Thomas the Tank Engine and Tinkerbell. Best thing to do is to watch for the MNSSHP thread that will end up being 500 pages long on the Theme Parks board. It will be loaded with lots of great information. We love going to MNSSHP so much that the kids and I got dh to cave and take us back this year for a short trip. I am still crossing my fingers that he will let us add another night. Three nights just isn't long enough. [/quote]

It was hot! Upper 80's low 90's every day

What about the lines?
Very managable. I think that the longest line we waited in was for EE and it was 45 minutes.

Thank you so much MACIEC for your responses...I am looking so forward to it...I really wanted to be there for Christmas, but my DH can't get away from work (tax time)...so I am "settling" for Halloween. But am SO excited.

I am glad that people like Riverside...I was a little nervous after I looked at some pictures. I just hope that it is nice. We are so used to our Hilton Timeshare that adjusting to a smaller place is going to be hard!

According to Mousesavers the dates are...2007 dates will be September 14, 21, 28 and October 1, 4, 5, 9, 11, 12, 15, 16, 18, 22 23, 25, 26, 29, 30, 31. So it will be on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday when we are there. Wonder if there is a slower day for that?

I can handle that weather...it is at that we certainly could look at going for a couple of hours to a water park.

And the lines will be manageable. 45 minutes for EE is nothing, when we were there it was two or three times that!

DH and I will be there 10/11 - 10/16, so some of us will overlap on trips...AND it is very possible that DH and I will be staying at POR! How about that for coinky-dinks?

Going 10-13 to 10-20, our first MNSSHP.
Can't wait. 8 months is a looooonnnngggg time.

I know it is KILLING me to not have park hours to be able to plan things!! But at the beginning of April I can make a couple of dinner ressies and by May 1st I should be able to be in full swing!!

We are going October 21-28. We were going to stay at WL but MIL didn't want a bunk bed to share with DS4 so we moved to my fave the AKL Savanah view and got 2 queens. I think we are going to do MNSSHP on October 25. We went last year and had a blast. DS4 and 17 rode Splash Mountain 4 times in a row with out getting off and did the same on Thunder Mountain as well. Already know where we are eating for some meals. I am ready to pull out my suitcases now and take inventory of what I need:lmao:

We are going in October too, we will be there 10/18-10/23. Started planning the trip on the plane back from WDW in Oct 06. Just booked the hotel, staying off property this time, super sheap hotel, couldnt pass it up. Im bringin my DS(6) He is very excited, we are going to do the Family magic tour and Chef Mickey. DH and other DS(2) are staying home.

Another October visitor here!!! And another October visitor staying at POR. We are staying at POR from Oct 23-28th. Still deciding if I want to add another night on to the hotel (so Monday night-Sunday instead of Tuesday-Sunday). I would really like to get a full day in the parks on Tuesday, and the earliest we could arrive in Orlando is 9:15. If we left the night before, we wouldn't land until like 9:45 pm, but then we could get up in the AM and hit the parks! Has anyone else ever had this dilemma and what did you do? I have two boys ages 9 and 5 and I just can't see them getting up at 4:00 am to catch a 7:00 flight out!!!! Give me opinions please, if anyone has any!!!!

Count me in! We will be there to celebrate my 40th from 10/27 to 11/04. I can't wait! Maggie

We will be at WDW in October too!! We will arrive on 10/27 and stay one night (haven't decided where yet), then to Celebrity Resort Orlando (DFIL's timeshare) for a week. Checking out on 11/4. We are going to do MNSSHP one night- not sure which yet.

My sister and I will be there October 14 through October 20 for the Food & Wine Festival!!!!

We're booked for the first week in Oct, 9/30 through 10/9!!

And yep at POR too! LOL

9/30 - 10/4 here! 8 months from today! :cheer2:
