Sunday 12th October Day 9
Today was shopping day = off site !!. I wanted to go to the Florida Mall, we knew without a car it would be a challenge. So we headed out about 9am we walked through EPCOT to get the Monorail to the TTC, then at the TTC we got a Lynx number 50 bus to Seaworld, easy peasy we thought all going like clockwork. Then disaster struck we needed to get the bus from round the corner of Seaworld to the Florida Mall.
According to the Lynx website this was no more than a five minute walk, we had 30 minute until our connecting bus. Well after walking up and down Sea Harbour Drive, crossing to every Lynx bus stop because the number is so awkwardly written you practically had to be at the stop to see it. Being stopped by an off duty fireman in his car enquiring if we were lost DOH!! We commandeered a lovely Marriott guy who pointed us in the right direction. It seems the signs above the road are the street that is crossing it and not the street you are on we didnt know!!
By the time we got to the bus stop we had missed our bus and we had to wait 1 hour for the next aghhh!! DH said its part of the adventure we will know for next time!! I was not amused!! When the bus arrived we were ever so pleased to see the dear driver!! We travelled all the way up to international drive and finally arrived at the Florida Mall at 1pm. Leave Boardwalk 9am arrive Florida Mall 1pm !!!!!! We could have flown somewhere in that time!! I was ready to do some serious shopping. We had a bite to eat for lunch and then the shopping commenced J I spent loads in the Yankee Candle Shop, Old Navy, Abercrmbie and Fitch and Hallmark. We brought some really yummy chocolates in Harry and David expensive but lovely.
The bus trip home wasnt too bad at all. Of course we had it all sussed now LOL. We headed over to the Dolphin to see if we fancied anywhere there for dinner we didnt so we kept walking and ended up at our favourites spot Beaches and Cream. Burgers all round. We walked back via the shops and I brought a couple of lovely DVC mugs, the one with the Mickey, Minnie and Cinderella cups on it. Then back to the room for a well earned rest.
