This is my favorite itinerary. We have done the
Castaway Cay "double dip" several times because we really enjoy relaxing on the island. We are also really looking forward going to the new
Lighthouse Point stop. Being able to go to the island twice typically gives us the opportunity to be more adventurous one stop by snorkeling and doing other activities and then the other stop just being beach bums. Skippyboo gave you a really nice overview of the activities.
As for FE's, we have done them several times on past trips. I am not very creative but have gotten some wonderful gifts. (My best work is the FE itself, as I quilt.) FE's are really fun, in my opinion, for the smaller children. It's fun to leave your cabin to come back to "mail." We aren't trying to find a FE group as we think the Halloween activities will have lots of opportunities for "goodies." However, we will be decorating our door with porthole magnets. I change the theme everyday, that way when I come home I can tell the differences between the days. Speaking of that I need to go check out to see if I can find some Halloween theme ones. Right now I have pirate hat, but I don't think they will have that night on this cruise? But have Stitch, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and themes that I can use. There used to be a good thread with some good examples for port hole magnets, I will have to check out if its still around.
Hope you really enjoy your
DCL cruise, we think it is a great way to vacation.
On another topic I have been trolling the site to determine if we should change our room location. Originally, we were on Deck 10 which I have only heard about the deck chair noise overhead several times. My DH is not really a big Disney fan so I try not too agitate him too much, but deck noise may of done it. I just moved our cabin down to Deck 5, which is a smaller cabin and a bigger verandah. Hoping the smaller cabin for 4 adults won't cause other problems, but I guess I can send someone out on the verandah

if trouble brews.
