Welcome. :cheer2: I was a lurker too. Now I'm a regular loon poster.:lmao:

Our first cruise was a honeymoon cruise a decade or two ago.:confused3 Wife wasn't thrilled. We kept passing the great beaches. Flash forward to this sailing with 2 kids, if the kids "take" to the clubs, and that allows her to read "a" book, she will be thrilled.;)

It's going to be awesome.:cool1: Welcome aboard :thumbsup2

If you have any questions feel free to ask. That's what we are here for.:goodvibes

Thanks :D I know, I can't wait 'til our youngest is old enough to know exactly how fun it is to go on one of these cruises.. that's when we plan to start taking 'em all :D but for now, we'll enjoy our freedom :yay:

Welcome to you! I'm Eva (32) a former Disney cast member-turned RN, and I'm traveling with my boyfriend of 2.5 years, Von (28). Ahoy!

Thanks! DH's brother has been a DCM himself for ages now :thumbsup2 and my major in college was actually to be an RN, but the standards here (at least within our local colleges) are so ridiculous I had to change majors :sad1: still love the field, though :goodvibes

Yup! Close enough to bring my little monkey man.

Ah got it, I'm a dork. I see what you were saying now. We went to WDW for the first time last year and had a blast. I love Epcot! Only having one week of vacation a year, we have to choose between Disney park and Disney cruise. It's a rough life I know, but we do what we have to.

Hey folks, sorry that been out for a few days. I have had an ear and sinus infection for a couple of days.

Anyway, I still need a couple of peoples email addresses so that I can finalize and send out the last FE list.

Please try to have that to me by the end of the day. For those who have sent them to me already, THANK YOU!!

Now I need to go back and see where we are in this thread.

I was wondering if we know how many are on the third FE list? I am interested in being added, depending on the room count.

Hi, Leslie. I think that there are about 15-20 people. About have of those are new folks. Let me know what you want to do.

Hi, guys! Long time lurker of this thread, first time poster :)

My husband and I have three wee ones together (All girls!), though we will be traveling without 'em for this particular trip. ;) We are finally getting around to our honeymoon with this cruise! :goodvibes It will be my second cruise (My first was the Wonder from Oct. 26th-30th of 2008), and it will be my husband's first.. Yay! We're so excited. :) Our dinner arrangements will be based on second seating. Our stateroom hasn't been determined yet, but it will be a guaranteed verandah :D I had the pleasure of meeting a handful of great people my last cruise, and I'm hoping that this time will be even better!

Kat

Hi, Kat. Welcome aboard. I haven't added of the new folks to th front page yet, but I better get with that. I will add you all and your info as well.

We'll be driving down to Orlando from Toronto in 14 or 15 days! :drive:
We're hoping to visit Magic Kingdom before the cruise.

A couple of questions. Where is everyone staying the night before?

I've been looking at Best Western in Cocoa Beach as they offer a 40% off parking voucher at Port Canaveral. We prefer to park at the port.

And weather! Maybe its a 'bit' early, but has anyone started looking ahead to see what weather we are looking at for each day?

We did a Carnival Cruise in Jan. 2011 and our weather was terrible for several days! We actually missed 2 ports because of it! Therefore I'm a bit nervous this time around.

Fingers crossed that October brings us awesome weather!

My crew will be staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for the first time!!! I can't wait. That is our home resort, so it shuold be a nice "Welcome Home".

We are doing a red-eye on the 17th and arriving at about 6:00am on the 18th. Since I have the room reserve for the 17th-20th, our rooms should be ready and waiting for us when we arrive that morning. My mom will be with us, so being able to go straight to bed when we arrive will be a great plus.

We are still trying to decide on which park to go to. We are going to do MNSSHP on the night of the 18th at the Magic Kingdom. By the way, does anyone know when we will be allowed into the park? The ticket time is 7:00pm, but I thought you could arrive early, like 4:00pm.

Anyway, which of the other three parks do you all think would be of most interest to an 70+ year old person? There are so many pluses for all of them, that I simply can't decide.

Say it with me, Only 16 more days until we are "Cruising Together"!!!!!

I just spoke with a DCL representative that told me there would not be Halloween festivities on our sailing. She said the Halloween spectacular was only for those cruises that actually sailed during the holiday. Does anyone know if this is true? I don't want to pack extra Halloween costumes if they aren't needed.

Brenda, we usually go into MNSSHP at 6:00 with no problem. I have heard 6:00 is the earliest that they will let you in, but I don't know if that is true and/or enforced. But, I think you can go in earlier if you have a reservation to eat somewhere. We have friends that have done that.

Does anyone know if this is true?

I believe the CM you spoke with was not up to date on Halloween.
This is an email we received. I hope it's correct because we are packing costumes.

Awesome! I guess the lady I talked to was just uninformed. That is what I suspected, but just wanted to be sure. Thanks for the info.

Welcome to you! I'm Eva (32) a former Disney cast member-turned RN, and I'm traveling with my boyfriend of 2.5 years, Von (28). Ahoy!

Eva - Our DD is also 32, still works at WDW. Were you a CP, she did it after Junior and Senior year and got a full time offer in Jan 2011. She met her BF, now DH at WDW - he just turned 27. Hmmmm something about Disney girls. (They both will be on the cruise with us in adjoining rooms) Phil

How cool is that?! I was a mainstage entertainer on the Disney Magic. I only did one contract, it was 9 months long. I was ready to head back to the desert after that, where nursing schools and younger men flow like wine! Haha

We are still trying to decide on which park to go to. We are going to do MNSSHP on the night of the 18th at the Magic Kingdom. By the way, does anyone know when we will be allowed into the park? The ticket time is 7:00pm, but I thought you could arrive early, like 4:00pm.

We will be there too. According to Allears and Undercover tourist, they will let you in at 4pm with your MNSSHP ticket.

Anyway, which of the other three parks do you all think would be of most interest to an 70+ year old person? There are so many pluses for all of them, that I simply can't decide.

I vote Epcot. :thumbsup2

Been watching the long range weather forcast for MNSSHP on the 18th...yesterday it looked good, today not so much :(. I haven't purchased our tickets yet, I don't want to be there in the rain. I'll give it another day or do and make the call...hoping it clears up!

I was just looking at the Orlando forecast. Definitly not looking like the best weather for the parks. It could change though! :)

We are hoping to visit Magic Kingdom. Perhaps we'll be visiting on the 27th instead of the 19th due to weather.

Thanks, Jeff, this is what I had heard as well.

You know, my niece and I had originally said that Disneys Studios would be best. But then I started looking at Epcot again, and I started leaning that way. Then, I just became more confused. So thanks. I may just go with Epcot.
