thanks Lori ... appreciate the heads up. On the fence now about booking the lunch since we're already having dinner there and I just don't know how I feel about $75 per person for the lunch now. Granted, we could still just spend the $50 but those who know us know that we never stop at one glass of bubbles!

It does make me wonder if they won't use this as a reason to increase the cost of dinner next year. :confused3

Oh well .... back to work. Don't tell my boss I was goofing off, ok? :rotfl2:

Those are a little pricey for us! We enjoy the regular restaurants!! Do enjoy brunch!! Love the shrimp and the pizza!!

I saw thread on the Cruise Board that somebody with an October 14 sail date received their cruise documents today. That is only 6 days before our cruise -- our docs will be coming soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I second this! I spoke to DCL today and the CM confirmed that we should receive them around the 40 day mark. Used to be 30 days, but they are so swamped right now with 4 ships, that they began sending them out a little sooner. Can't wait to check the mail everyday.... Feels like Christmas!! :cool1::thumbsup2

I will officially be offering my opinion on people's bathing suits for 5 bucks a pop. For an extra 2.50, I'll tell you what I think of their parenting skills. Then one day, I'll be able to afford Remy brunch... Whoofty! Too much money!

Nice idea for a business.:rolleyes1 Not sure how it will go. Heck, I can offer the same service for free if I have a drink or two.:rotfl:

I love Palo brunch, DH not into dinner (have not tried it) there, and REALLY not interested in dinner or brunch at Remy.

Sorry Both of you, I will DEFINITELY be offering those services for FREE ( alcohol or not) along with advice/opinions on hair styles, accessories and manners. : /

For past cruisers DCL doesn't use UPS anymore so don't be looking for the envelope at the door. They use the Postal Service regular mail.

Also, not all are sent at the same time so they can arrive days apart. There is no rhyme or reason to the order they are mailed.

VGT fares released for our sailing. :headache:
If your not picky about location, category, and your booked activities, you might want to run the financials.
Also it appears to me some category prices are less $ than previously.
Also remember you can move up categories without out penalty if not booked VGT., and pay the upcharge.

I called last week asking about prices of paid upgrades and as of last week concierge was completely sold out for the oct 20th fantasy sailing. Unless there are cancellations, I don't think serious pixie dust is coming on this sailing in the form of major upgrades into concierge. I would lie to do cabin crawl and see other cabins this round to look into for future bookings... I love that idea! Especially to see rooms with Murphy beds and different layouts! :) happy last minute planning and shopping everyone!!!

Thought I would share an email I received from DCL, although this may have already been posted. It's still exciting. At first DCL said no to Halloween. Glad they changed their mind. I'm curious which EVENING they will choose. :confused3

September 11, 2012

Reservation #: xxxxxxxxxx

Dear Bear3412,

Thank you for choosing a Disney Cruise Line® vacation. We look forward to sailing with you and want to take this opportunity to share with you some important information as you prepare to pack for your vacation.

We'll be celebrating Halloween on our ships this year with several themed events, including a costume contest for our adult Guests and a special costume parade for children on the following sail dates:

Disney Magic® - October 20, 2012 and October 27, 2012
Disney FantasyTM - October 20, 2012 and October 27, 2012
Disney DreamTM - October 25, 2012 and October 28, 2012
Disney Wonder® - October 28, 2012

Though not required, we encourage Guests of all ages to bring along their costumes and join in our special Halloween celebration. On the evening of our party, children will receive candy treat bags in their staterooms that they can bring along to the party to collect even more treats. Prizes will be awarded to our adult costume contest participants based on the following categories:

Funniest
Best Group
Most Spooky
Most Original
Most Disney

More information on themed nights, times and locations will be available onboard in the Personal Navigator that will be delivered to your stateroom.

While all Guests are invited to wear costumes, we ask that you choose costumes that are not obstructive or offensive. To avoid any disappointment or delay in the boarding process, we ask that when considering costume options you refrain from bringing toys or props that resemble guns, knives or other related implements, as these items will not be allowed onboard.

Again, we look forward to sailing with you and hope you have a magical cruise.

Sincerely,

The Cast and Crew

I will give you $5 not to make a comment on me in my bathing suit. :lmao::lmao:

You all are my kind of people! On the dream a couple weeks ago we were doing that same thing. DH did too many tastings and was commenting on a family that had Barbie, Ken, Skipper and little Barbie. The only issue was he was loud and spilled his soupall over the table. It was funny because he is always saying that I should not do that. After 31 years I am rubbing off on him. :lmao::rotfl::rotfl:

YEAH!!!!!! I will have to find a child to trick or treat for me ......:crazy2:

We should have a "Peanut Gallery Crawl"...... We'll walk the ship for an hour commenting on all of the "remarkable" things that we see on board! :rotfl:

Seriously though, it's free entertainment and always good for a laught. WE went for ice cream at Ghirardelli in Downtown San Diego the other night, and my DH and I could have sat there all night commenting on the passers by..... Dress to short/tight. Skinny jeans on a grown man. Too much cleavage. Make up from the 80's. Heels she can't walk in..... I could go on all day...

P. S. I will accept $4 for not commenting on your bathing suit. Just something to think about. :lmao:

I'm going to have to say "NO" based on what I've seen. Either that or their husband/wife lied to them!
