Will Eva's shirts be available in youth sizes, or only adult?! ( couldn't respond to earlier post due to less than 10 posts. Sorry! And now I can finally PM!)

Can I start a thread for fish extender ideas you have gotten in the past or does that affect the fun?!

Hi there - Welcome to the group. You are going to have so much fun on th cruise.

There are lots of threads about FE idea on the DIS. Here is a link to one thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2907032

There is also a FB group dedicated to FE's as well but it is basically a repeat of what is here on the DIS.

Hope that helps.

Post #3, is that the FE participant list?

Didn't know if there was a more recent or updated version?

Thank you for any info.

We would love to be added to the list. Participants are as shown in signature. Cabin room is currently GTY.

Yes youth sizes are available. Just not toddlers - sorry.

But I can tear up and tie up a youth small and create and awesome 80's inspired toddler shirt. ;)

Am I looking at the wrong place? Found 4 pages or so on CC for this date sailing.:confused3

Sorry, Rick said it was busy- but perhaps he was talking about our Christmas cruise and I mistook it for this one.

:cool1: Welcome!!! :cool1:

I'd be curious on why you hated the Dream too. I didn't enjoy our Dream cruise either and am curious if you have the same sentiments as I had . . . ;)

Why didn't we like the Dream....well, it just didn't seem to be laid out very well. We are huge Magic/Wonder fans but it felt like on the Dream they just gave everyone a section to work on and design without any thought to how they fit together- for example-

- the Sports deck is directly over the "premium" restaurants. We ate in Remy and Palo both and the whole time you hear "thump thump thump" from the ceiling. Did no one foresee this and think maybe a little more insulation might be nice for soundproofing?

- Elevators that open in the middle of the buffett.(whether it's open or not)

- the adult pool area has a major traffic pattern straight through the middle of it. It was nice on the older boats because traffic went around the pool area so it was fairly sedate, however with the concierge suites opening directly onto the adult pool on the Dream the traffic cuts straight through the middle of the area. There was more fishing of kids out of the adult pool(because really, what 5 yo doesn't jump into the first pool they see?) than not, and while I dip in to cool off I don't necessarily enjoy the cannonball effect in the fishbowl sized pool.

-If you wanted to sun you had to go up a deck. Where there is no pool to cool off in. (this I believe has been addressed on the Fantasy with a water feature added)

- There's no where to stash your stuff while doing the Aquaduck. So most people just drop it on a lounge chair and this brings one back to the chair debate.

- The "adult entertainment area" was a bit disappointing as well. The most "hyped" lounges- Skyline and Pink were tiny and therefore always packed. Evolution was huge and never really full. It's also shared with the teenage crowd with the DJ there. I'm not sure that was a good idea either. Makes no difference to me but I'm not sure I'd be thrilled if my 15 yo daughter was hanging in the bar all night.

- Sports bar with no draft beer? :rolleyes1 That was fun to watch.

We loved our room and the crew and it truly is a beautiful boat, but it just wasn't for us I guess. I'm hoping DCL took the feedback offered and changed what they could. Being on the cruise we were on we actually got to talk to some of the "suits" like Tom Skaggs.

So, we have our fingers crossed.:thumbsup2

I was wondering the same thing! :upsidedow

I have a feeling that there will be some serious changes made when the Dream does its first serious dry-dock. There have been a lot of concerns, most of which have been thankfully addressed on the Fantasy!

For all our new friends, I'm Eva (pronounced like what-eva!) This is my third cruise, first with DCL and my boyfriend Von's first cruise ever! I was a cast member with DCL on the Magic back in '06 but this is my first time as a guest. We are cruising just us grown-ups and leaving the kiddo at home this time, we'll take him next year when he is old enough to maybe get a little more enjoyment out of it. Can't wait to meet you all! :yay:

Definitely do Alaska. It was amazing!

Good Morning All
Today we will be celebrating Nancys farther 92nd birthday with a family Lobster Cookout at our sons house.

Yum...lobster!

I can hardly wait to get my bib on. DH and I are headed :drive:to Maine on the 1st. How are the prices this year?

Right now is the right time to get Lobsters. The price is right. Yesterday Nancy and I had 6 lobsters that cost us $18:00. That for soft shell. If you want hard shell you will have to pay a bit more. Come to MAINE and ENJOY

As of now Lobsters are going from $ 3:00 per pound at the wharf .And of course you will pay a lot more at a restaurant from $20:00 for a one pound dinner. We love getting our own right at the wharf along with some clams bring them home and enjoy.

If I remember correctly our checkin time is 11:00 AM:banana::banana::banana::banana:

Yes it is! :dance3: I have started packing. Football starts this weekend so we will be busy until the cruise. Tommy is slowing down at the high school. We spent yesterday getting the concession stand and field ready.
