I did lots of research for the Dream but I am not allowing myself to read trip reports or anything else related to the Fantasy so I can be surprised.

I totally agree. Sometimes knowing too much takes away lots of the fun!

As far as I'm concerned, the bigger the FE group the better, (within reason ofcourse).

I'm prepared for 50 cabins. I guess if its going to be half that number of cabins per group I will just double up items per cabin.

I was thinking today that there may be other FE groups that are completely separate from this group. I better make sure we have our cabin number list in hand.

But whatever the group decides, our FE arrived today and I'm getting excited to finally use one!

What a great idea. That should allow everyone to get involved at their own speed LOL.. Really nice of you to offer to help as well.

Also as Lori mentioned our traveling group is also doing the FE so you will want to really pay attention to your cabin lists or you may get confused seeing all these cabins with FE's but not on any of the lists you have.

It was harder than I thought to give DCL that much $.
I hope I'm not underwhelmed. Unlikely, I know. But some of the recent reports are scary.

I haven't read any recent TR's.

Just board the ship, have a great time, and make your own jusgements about the whole experience.

Yes this is a huge concern. This topic has been discussed in a few threads over the years. I lurked and absorbed all info I could for at least 18 months before I booked. And I booked, IIRC a year ago. After I booked is when I started participating in the main board. Trying to pay it forward as much as possible.

Yes, knowing too much may affect the magic. I'm going to try to forget it all, or log the knowledge as a dream, as difficult as thou it may be, then go with the flow, as if I'm clueless.

It's true, the best vacations we've had, have been the ones when no research was performed, and we were completely clueless. It was all a surprise, and new, and wonderful. I hope I didn't make a mistake by becoming a Dis-addict.

I thought I was going to get family shirts made up for boarding indicating we were associated with the Disboards, however after that enlightening thread a few weeks back, we feel the need to travel a bit more under the radar now.

However, we will check out the new Dis-Welcome center for Disboard merchandise. Depending on the items available, that could identify us as Disers.

EvaSue, excuse me for my ignorance regarding the shirts. The print is on the front of the T-shirt? Nothing on the back? Wouldn't it be cool to have something on the opposite side? I did see the hidden mickey. Will having something on the back double the cost? Does the imprint on the shirt consist of a thick imprint, that if in the sun will become unbearable hot? If we commit to shirts, when and where would we acquire them? OK, that was a lot of ? Count me in for 4 shirts, even if printed on one side. JMT

Still unemployed -- but still plan on sailing.

Our 27 year old daughter is sailing with us. Does anybody in our group have any single young adults (old enough to be in the adult areas of the ship) sailing with them on October 20? She is afraid that there will only be couples and children. Just wondering if there will be any young singles in our group to just hang out with.

Hi there. Eva came up with the design and created the graphic...didn't mean to cause confusion....I wanted to get it on a shirt so I offered to coordinate putting together a set.

The design will be on the front and centered across the chest area. Printing on the reverse will add to our costs and it would have to be something everyone would have to agree upon.

If we leave the Reverse of the shirt design free, I was thinking of using an iron lettering process and putting something like Team Villains or the like.....just a suggestion.

I'm going to post another thread about shirts with an order date, etc. I wanted to send you a quick note - didn't want you to feel ignored.

Thanks Eva for posting the photo of the tshirt design.

The shirts are white with the full color digital printing process for creating the graphic. The shirts will be the Gildan brand name and they are 100% cotton preshrunk. In order to keep costs minimal, it would be best for us to keep the order a single color. If we go with this option, the shirts will cost $10. Shirts sizes are available for youth sizes (sorry, no toddlers/infants) and adults - S-XL. Adult XXL-4XL will cost a couple of additional dollars.

I will be happy to ship the shirts to you. I'd ask that you cover the shipping costs - it appears the USPS flat rate service/pricing would be the most advantageous. If you are outside the US - I have a Fedex and UPS nearby.

I would ask for a cut-off date for August 17th for shirts. The process is usually a 2 week turnaround and I'm planning ahead for some events at work that will be consuming my time in September. This will give me time to ship out the shirts.

Just got the spreadsheet worked out for all of the wheres and whens.

It took awhile for me to get excited about this cruise but I think it's finally here, and kicked into overdrive.
