Julie: Yes, summer is gone. Not that we ever really had one. Only supposed to be 67 today with rain.

Jerry came home early to work from home and help me with packing and Kaleigh. I am trying to get the house down to bare bones. You should see my kitchen.

Sandy: We have an LA weightloss here in town. I never looked into it though. I am trying the Stacker 2 again. Lets see, 3 foods on a dessert island: chocolate, steak, diet pop.

The Indians are only 3 games out of 1st in the Central Division. We are playing the Twins all weekend and they are in 1st. I wish we could get to a game, but it won't happen. Kaleigh says baseball now.

Sue: Good luck with the baby shower. I hope Turner gets a good teacher.

Barb: A Cinderella wedding. Sounds nice.

Oh, oh. Denine is going to be mad at me. Coming from So Dak, I am a Minnesota Twins fan (of course, the Rockies, too). Went to several games when growing up.

:Pinkbounc :bounce: Guess what. From Wed afternoon until 11:00 today I lost 1.8 lbs already. On my way.........

Summer????? Did we have one????

Psycho girl next door is running back and forth in front of my house bouncing a ball...the kid is 12 years old for pete's sake! This is the one who was blaring Disney music out her mom's bedroom window one weekend!!! She is truly certifiable!!!

Ok...more about Chicago...finally got to Navy Pier on Sunday...our only day without contractors and working on the house. I now have a $600 cap floating around the sewers of Chicago. I bit into a hoagie and it came loose and I swallowed it! Spent the next morning in a dentist's chair getting a temporary cap. Then that day I lost my cell phone! Don't ever loose one because they charge at least $100 over the cost of the phone when you sign a contract!! Plus Verizon in Chicago wasn't able to access any account info outside of IL so I had to go without it until I got back.
Good thing again though...I have another RT voucher!! I volunteered to be bumped again on Friday and flew 1st class again on Sat!!! I plan on booking that flight all the time!!!! Not only rack up the miles but get free vouchers and FF miles!

Barb-Disney themed wedding sounds great!

Tropical depression Bonnie...a few years ago there was a hurricaine Bonnie that hit NC I believe...I have a t-shirt from there that says " I survived hurricaine BOnnie." Obviously I have mellowed with age!! Looks like Disney is right in the path of Charley...bad news!!! Jeanne & I were there when they shut down for Floyd...which never hit. What a mess that was!!! Disney was totally unprepared to take care of all the guests at least at Coronado.

OK...I need all to send me their phone & cell phone numbers again since they were all lost in my phone and I have to reprogram the new one.

About our govenor...I have no sympathy for him...I feel bad for his wife!!! He had to know prior to marrying her his preferences and never should have done so!!! Heck...in this day and age it doesn't matter whether you are gay or not to get elected into office if you are worthy of it. What a schmuck!!!! Nothing against gays...some of my best friends are BUT...don't deny it and hurt others in doing so. That is my soapbox sentiment for the day.

Have a good weekend all!!!

By the way...I am being stood up tonight via the phone...I have been replaced by an expensive steak dinner! hmmm... :charac2: :charac2:

Just a quick post before I head to bed. I am all ready for the shower tomorrow even if evryone will have to fight the weather to come to it. We're not expected to get it as bad as originally thought since it is expected stay further east. I definitely would not have wanted to be in Florida in the path of Charley! We have had quite a bit of rain this week and not all of it was related to Bonnie and Charley.

Congrats on the beginning of your weight loss journey, Sandy!

Bonnie, sorry to hear about the cap and cell phone! I'll try to remember to send you an email tomorrow with my cell number.

Gotta go to bed.

Talk to you guys later!

It looks like Disney was spared the worst. Mostly landscaping damage. All the parks but AK are open today.

Bonnie: Dental work is so expensive!!! My mom is just going through a bunch of it. Too bad about the cell.

Sandy: The Twins lost last night. We are only 2 games back now! Way to a weight loss start!

Went to kohls this morning. I bought a few new throw rugs and Kaleigh got a pair of Disney Princess tennies for our October trip.

We may go to the N. Ridgeville corn festival this weekend. It is supposed to be a bit warmer tomorrow, all the way up to 75.

We still need to pick out those ceiling fans.

Nothing else going on.

Hi All! Just checking in. My grandmother made it ok from Charley. He hit about 20/30miles away from her house. There were a lot of trees down and the creek on the other side of the street was at its bank, but her home made it through ok.

Sandy, it was nice talking with you today. You made my day!!

Took the kids to a birthday party today. It was a LOUD party and I was glad to go home!

Denine, HOW BOUT THAT TRIBE????? 1 game back from first!!!Hope they keep it up!

Well, gonna go, just checking in to say hi and that I will check back in later!

this is the song that doesn't end...

***the first few posts were done by Julie not Garry**** I forgot to log him out!!

Julie, Julie, Julie...keep the song going...sorta like old times.

Not much new here yesterday afternoon went shopping with Pam and her mom. I needed a case for work so went with them to Lands End...had to order it but saved shipping costs that way. Pam and I may go kayaking one of these Saturday's...for $12 they pick you up at the store, take you to a lake, give you all the equipment and teach you how to do it for about 2 1/2 hours...not a bad deal. Who knows maybe I will be the oldest Olympian in for years for the kayacking event!! Yeah right!!! Then on to DSW...I needed black pumps for work...ended up with those...with a strap on the back and a pair of Stuart Weitzman shoes that I "jast had to get" to quote someone in the store because they were only $20...retail $200. I can wear them to my friend's daughter's wedding in January. Heck if I was going on the cruise I could wear them then. Oh well.

Just checking all the threads and came across this...what a great idea!!! Twice the cost of regular postage but if you wedding planners or people with kids birthday parties to invite to not too bad a price if there aren't hundreds of people being invited!

Aaagh, the Twins just tied the game. We need to sweep so we can be tied for 1st. Go Tribe!!!!

We went to the Corn Festival last night. It was fun. We didn't try the corn ice cream though. We did have a roasted ear of corn, very sweet. We also had chocolate covered frozen cheesecake on a stick. OMG!!!!!!!! We picked up some stuff from booths on our new hometown, espcially since it is an election year. We don't know anyone from Lorain County.

Heard from my friend in Lake Mary, FL. She had a huge oak tree come down across her driveway and some damage to the screen around their pool. They also have no power and are staying in a local hotel. Everyone is fine though.

Julie: Glad you grandma made it thourhg Charley ok.

Forgot to say we were in a fender bender yesterday on the way to Kohls. The arrow had turned green and everyone was going, but the lady in front of us slammed on her breaks, we couldn't stop in time. We go to a nearby parking lot and she apologized, "was she in the turning lane or the straight lane?" She acted dazed and confused, thought she saw red. Luckily there was no damage to either car and we were all OK. I did make a show of getting out and checking on Kaleigh even though I new she was fine.

In my own little corner in my own little chair...

Nobody loves me everybody hates me, I'm gonin' out and eat worms....

Where is everyone?

Stood up Saturday also...double hmmm....

I'm here!!!!!!!! Just got done doing my treadmill. Can't stay on now, but will check back in later!!

Have a good one!

I'm here too. Just terribly tired. Heidi and I shopped all afternoon. We are both drained.

It was a cool, cool day yesterday. I honestly enjoyed it.

Julie, I ran out and bought Lipton Green tea with honey. Haven't tried it yet. Afraid cuz I hate tea and coffee.

Denine, glad that you guys were ok after the fender bender. The lady that hit me a couple of years ago was dazed like that too. She was elderly however.

Bonnie, Ted is an experienced kayaker. He hasn't done it for awhile because he doesn't have a partner. He practices safe kayaking.

Gotta run and help Ted with the lawn. Talk to you all later.

The work marathon is finally over!::yes:: ::yes:: Guess what it was a really nice weekend at work. It's always fun when it is my weekend with the "regulars".

DENINE: Sorry about your little fender-bender.

BONNIE: Welcome back. Where are those pictures?

SANDY: How excited are you?

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I picked up my Dodger dog since I haven't seen him for about three weeks. He was so happy to see me. He put his paws on my shoulders & kept crying & licking me. It's nice that SOMEBODY loves:love: me! I have so much to do tomorrow - lots of birthdays, need Passport, take Mom to Dr.'s, etc. Missing you all. Toodles:wave2: :earsgirl: JEANNE
