Hi ALL! I will post the recipe when I get a chance tonight. I got it from the Mickey Mouse's recipebook Garry bought me a few years ago at Disney World!

Thanks Julie, what would be great.

Barb - No problem, hope my attempt to an explanation helped. Now Barb to get tagged you have to post on other threads besides this one and the cruise one. Join in on some of the other threads and maybe you will be discovered!!! It's a lot of fun. (Thanks mom for getting me addicted to these boards) And one big rule from the Tag Fairy is no begging for tags. Just a heads up that you will get ignored (and others will yell at you) if you beg.

No begging eh?

How did you find out about the Tag Fairy? How many boards did you post on?

 Poor Garry. Glad that he is doing better. Let him know that Ted and I are thinking of him! What a week for you Julie. Hopefully things will calm down.

Yep, I am sporting some tags now. Heidi, I posted a thank you on the Community Board and told him that he could take a couple away from me so that someone else could be tagged. We will see. I also posted the same thing on the one thread that you were talking about earlier.

Cheddar cheese soup???? Yummy. I want the recipe too. See what you started Julie?

Barb, now you know all about the tag fairy. Heidi really explained it well. Ohhhh, I just see you posted as I type. That's right. No begging. We just bounce a lot between the cruise board and the community board.

Nice timers Denine. I am thinking about adding mine. Takes talent tho.

Jeanne, I am going crazy on the other thread. There are sooooo many people that it is hard to keep up. Never seen anything like it.

OK, here is the recipe for the soup........

Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup from Le Cellier Steakhouse

3 cups milk
1 cup chicken broth
6 slices of bacon, diced
1/4 cup finely diced red onion
1/4 cup finely diced celery
1/4 cup chopped scallion
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups shredded Canadian white cheddar cheese
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce, or to taste
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper, or to taste
Snipped fresh chives or minced scallions for garnish

1. in 2-quart saucepan, heat milk and broth over med-low heat

2. in dutch oven, cook bacon over med. heat for about 5 mins or until lightly brown

3. add red onion, celery, and scallions and cook stirring about 5 minutes. Add flour and cook, stirring constantly for 3 minutes

4. remove dutch oven from heat and add heated milk mixture and whisk until well blended. Return to heat and cook, whisking constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Boil for 1 minute, or until thickened.

5. Remove from heat and stir in cheese, tabasco sauce, worcestershire sauce, salt, and peper until the cheese is melted and the soup is smooth.

6. serve hot and garnish with chives.

That is it! I hope you all enjoy! It took me back to eating in Canada.

Off to exercise now. Will check back in later!

Julie-I can empathize with Garry!!! Or is it sympathize...I forget. I am surprised they would pull it when it was that infected! Many times they want you to start antibiotics first.
I made the exact same recipe when Glenn was here last year. I loved it but it didn't love me!!! Just slightly lactose intolerant at times.

Glenn is a good sport I must admit...although very stubborn at other timess! Right Glenn? Sometimes it takes a lot to get him to change but I will keep him. After all he puts up with me!

Denine-New bookshelves? Filled? I thought you were packing!

Heidi congrats on the new wheels!! I wish I had them! Never did get the car from Pam and she hasn't mentioned it since...hmmm...guess I have to break down and buy one. UGH!

Pam is closing up the house at the shore tomorrow so my mom and I are going with her for the day to sit on the beach...it is supposed to be a beautiful day!

Barb...don't feel bad. I never got tagged either.

Have a good weekend all...I need one after this week with psycho nurse and well, wait...2 psycho nurses! One who thinks he is a she and attempts to pull the she off when built like a linebacker and the other who is just nuts but thinks she is normal!!!

Heidi - great news about the new car! I hope you really enjoy it.

Bonnie - sorry Pam never came through with the car for you. I thought you already had it.

Julie - please tell Garry we hope he feels better soon. You guys really had a tough week. No where but up from here.

Barb - don't feel bad about the tag fairy. I used to post on other boards but never got tagged. I must not have had anything that interested the Tag Fairy.

Paul and Turner are leaving for Augusta in about an hour for hockey practice. They'll be there overnight since there is another pactice in the morning. I think I may go to the pool today since it has now opened and it is going to be 91 here today! It has also been extremely humid.

Everyone have a great day.
Later!

HEIDI: You forgot to tell me an important thing - what color is your new Nissan? That is a really important thing to me. I have a Jeep Liberty Renegade & I bought it for the COLOR!

Went to my first Phillies game in the new stadium. It is really beautiful! You can see the Philadelphia skyline from the stadium & it has this great open feeling. It was really great when the Phillies game back to win!

Tonight it is do or die. GOOOOOOO FLYERS:thewave: I will be sitting in front of the big screen TV at 7:00 PM cheering:cheer2: I guess one way or another tonight the fat lady is going to sing!

Off to a classic car show with Bobby. My cousin is showing a classic Cadillac. Hope you all have a terrific weekend. I think it is going up of 90 today:sunny:. Toodles:wave2: :earsgirl: JEANNE

 Ohhhh, Jeanne is off with Bobby again. Must be going good!! Jeanne, Heidi's Pathfinder is a "Polished Pewter". Very pretty color. It seems to change between a gray and goldish/brown. Depends on the light.

Susan, 91 is too hot for me. Pool time would be perfect!

Bonnie, I, too, thought you already had the car. We will all think good thoughts and maybe it will given to you! Have fun at the beach. I am envious.

Julie, thanks for the recipe. We are both excited to try it. How is Garry doing?

We are going to pull the trailer down tomorrow so I will be in and out all next week. Memorial day coming! Gotta claim a spot!

Go Flyers!!!!!!

Hey all. We have had 3 nasty storms roll through here in 24 hours and are expecting more later this afternoon. There has been a lot of wind damage and flooding. We took our usual walk and we have never seen the river so high. We have lived in this city for 10 years, and this is the wrost it has been. The river has waaayy left it's banks and one of the roads in the park by us is closed because it is covered with about 4 feet deep of river. We are fine though.

My parents will be here in about 1 hour to babysit Kaleigh while we go to the wedding reception. An evening of fun. I still have to get ready.

Still waiting for our 1st showing, but our realtor did call to ask a question that had been asked by another realtor.

Bonnie: We orederd these booksehelves back in March and the finally came yesterday. So, I just moved the books from where they were to the new ones.

Sorry about the Flyers:headache: :sad1:

Denine - you guys stay safe and have fun at the reception.

Wow, where does the time go??? I have like 11 pages to catch up and it's past bedtime already. Early work already planned for Sun morn, what a weekend. I was totally sick from food poisening or something last week, now working more than I should.
Well, I need to be caught up on everything. So far I just notice that Sandy has a really colorful name area and what's this about Panama?
Fill me in. I'll try to get back on Monday. School's out! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Ok...FLyers lost. I don't know what it is about the Philadelphia teams but they are always the bridesmaid never the brides! But we have Smarty Jones!!!!!! All hopes are on one little horse!

Day at the beach yesterday with my mom and Pam. Red legs this time. I fell asleep. Tje water wasn't too bad. I got my lower legs wet. Then my mom wanted to take my picture. Of course she never saw that wave coming!!! Got soaked to my waist!

Back go the pool this afternoon. Just too, too HOT:sunny:

Lori - sorry to hear about the food poisening. Try not to work too hard. I am sure your wiped out after that ordeal! Turner has 2 weeks of school remaining. You are so lucky to have the school freedom already! I still have to be the evil Mom to get the homework finished!

Have a great day everyone!
Later!

Poor Lori! Food poisoning, how awful. Where did you eat? Remind me not to go there!! My colorful area by my name was done by the "tag fairy". Panama Canal so far is Denine, Sandy, Jeanne, Joyce and Barb. And......I missed your posts!

:sunny: You have to watch out for the sun Bonnie. Ouch, my legs hurt just thinking of yours. I hate sunburn but always mangage to get too much sun.

Sorry about the Flyers!!

Denine, be careful with those storms. You just can't have normal weather there, can you?

And Susan the evil Mom, enjoy the pool! It is staying in the 70's right now so that is PERFECT for me. Maybe the campground pool will be open for us to get Bonnie's burn. :teeth:

Headed out to the campground in a couple of hours. Will probably post on Tues.

Love you guys,
Sandy

Sandy: No, we can't have normal weaterh here. We did have another tstorm last night, but it wasn't bad. It did rain a bit though. We have had enoguh of a break where the river flooding could go down/. We are supposed to have another storm today.

Wedding last night was fun. It was nice to get out for a while. It was Jerry's cousin that got married. It was his 2nd marriage. He and his new bride seemed very happy.

Lori: I wondered where you were. Hope you are feeling much better and don't work too hard.

Bonnie: There is this new thing called SUNSCREEN. It really works. You've gotta try it.

Sandy: Enjoy the camp ground!

We have a meeting tomorrow morning with the project manager for a our new house and Jerry has a dentist appt in the afternoon.

Sue: Enjoy the pool!

POOR FLYERS:sad: If you love a team, you love them whether they win or lose. I would've been happier if it went into OT.

SANDY: Heidi's car sounds beautiful. Thank you so much for my CD. I played it all morning when I went out shopping. It really gets you into the Disney Caribbean mood.

BONNIE: I can't believe you got burned! You know you have skin like skim milk - no sun exposure:sunny: without SUNSCREEN!

First time I have ever seen Bobby drink:drinking: too much & he was really funny. I drove his car home because all I had was my two low carb beer limit. We watched the game at an outside bar on the deck & it was hot so he kept drinking those beers.

Picked up my other boyfriend (Dodger dog) today since I have Monday & Tuesday off. It is really hot in N.J.:sunny: Well hope you all have a great week. Toodles:wave2: :earsgirl: JEANNE
