OMG, who was it that posted before me? I somewhat remember that name! I like your idea of opening if enough are around. Let's see...so far we have, Julie, Lori, Bonnie, Susan, Sandy, and ???? We haven't heard from Barb, Sally, Patty, Krista, Laurie and Jeanne. Denine I believe said she was busy. We need that executive decision.

I don't know if I told you guys but Noah and Graci gave me a wine of the month gift for Christmas. Guess what just arrived today just in time for our wine chat? I think the wine of the month club should be a lot of fun. It is hand delivered to my door once a month and she could specify white or red. Luckily she confided in Heidi and she knew our preference in white. So......I don't have to stop by the liquor store tomorrow. One less task for me.

If we don't open them soon it will be Easter or we could wait until next Christmas.
I say go for it if we can get a majority. Barb...can you spend a Saturday night with the cruisers?

Jeanne doesn't have AIM but hopefully Bobby alias Booby can get her up and running. Someone will have to get me in the chat since I have to use Trillion to get into AIM.

It is very easy to become a member of AIM. The first step is to go to www.aol.com, once the web page opens up, you can scroll down almost to the bottom of the screen and on the left hand side their is a box that says"Download these products." Click on the hyperlink and it will take you to another screen that has a bunch of programs you can download. Click on the download AOL instant messenger and click the "Get it Now" button. That will get you to another screen and their will be a "Download Now" button you have to click on, click on it and it will send you to a screen that has the option of "New Users." Click on New Users and then it will give you a screen on creating your screenname. After you fill in your information on your screename, you can just follow along with the instructions and it will get you the rest of the way there. It sounds like a long process but its not and it is very easy. Hope this helps everyone out that wants to get into AIM.

I think we are a go for Saturday. We might be going out to dinner with some friends (I know, going out, what am I thinking).

Clare's Chinese New Year festival was too cute. 2 Television stations and 3 Newspapers showed up. We saw her on the 10:00 news and haven't seen the papers yet today. I drive Clare 25 minutes to school, in Fayetteville, so they have different newspapers. I bought her the most gorgeous Mandarin Suit on chinasprout.com . If any of you need adorable baby/child gifts (with a Chinese theme of course) check them out. I will try to post a picture of her later.

Wine of the month. Waaaaaaaahhhhhh!! I need that one.

Food was good this week, will post a couple of recipes later.

Off to get toes done and Clare's hair cut today.

I have my heel surgery on the 30th (one week eeeeek!!!), and we leave for Santa Fe that same day. Next week will be a blur, then on vacation for 12 days. Whewwww.

14 degrees here...that is without the wind chill...I was going out for a walk today but not too sure with this cold!!! I have to get used to it though...work on Tuesday!!! I want to go back for the brain stimulation but at the same time do not want to deal with my staff...whining about not being able to get work finished yet reportly chatting (not about business)....hmmmm...rude awakening coming their way.

Oh...I vote for Booby also! Poor Bobby...has to put up with us!!!

It is 7 outside with a few flurries in the air. I have no idea what the windchill is.

We actually made it to the video store yesterday. We finally watched Pirates. An interesting combination of drama and comedy. We also watched Santa Clause 2. We have 2 more to watch before noon tomorrow.

Chinese New Year: It is the year of the monkey. Maybe things will look up for me soon. I am a monkey. Jerry and Kaleigh are both horses.

Sandy: I love the wine of the month gift. You will have to report in on each wine.

Krista: Good luck with your heel surgery.

AIM: So, since I have AOL, then I have AIM. How do you get everyone in on the same chat? I have only chatted with 1 person at a time in the past. Alright, yes, I am computer illiterate.

I put up some Valentine's decorations yesterday. Just window cling hearts. I usually surprise Jerry with a very nice meal for Valentine's, but we will just be getting home from WDW that day. They didn't have any rooms available, or we would have stayed another day.

I have to work this weekend. Not looking forward to getting up at 5 AM.

Krista, you decided on surgery, huh? Is it the kind I had or is it the experimental one? I am dying to hear all about it. Hope you can be there for the wine chat.

Denine, yes, you have had IM all along. All you have to do is set up your buddy list. Your name will be the same as your AOL email name. Hit set up on your buddy window. I did it you can too. If you can add the counter on your posts you can do this too. If you want to experiment put me in under savanho on your buddy list. If it works I can email you everyone elses. Call me or write me if you want some help.

Let's make the wine chat at 6:30 pm our time and 8:30 for you Easteners. If we can catch more people earlier speak up other wise let's plan on 6:30 and 8:30. Gift opening? Speak up, please. If we decide to we can send a general email to everyone tonight or tomorrow so that no one is left out.

Jeanne, print Heidi's instructions and get yourself going on AIM. She gave wonderful steps. YOU CAN DO IT! We want you there tomorrow night. NO EXCUSES....other than work. Bobby can sit next to you.

Thought that I would give you guys the recipe for Heidi's dessert that she was begging for.
Salted Nut Bars
Base: 1 yellow cake mix, 1 egg, 1/3 cup butter
Topping: 3 cups mini marshmallows, 2/3 cup corn syrup, 1 (12 oz) pkg peanut butter chips, 1 t. vanilla, 2 cups Rice Crispies, 2 cups salted peanuts.

Press base ingredients in a 9x13" pan and bake 350 for 13-15 minutes. Sprinkle with marshmallows and return to oven to puff. Melt corn syrup and peanut butter chips. Stir in vanilla, Rice Crispies and peanuts. Pour over base. Let it set up and cool before cutting.
These taste almost identical to the candy bar, salted nut roll. Better go make them now so that they will be done for tonight.

Ok, is everyone sitting down? I just heard from Patty aka Patti and she is hoping to pop in tomorrow. Wow, no fainting. I am not sure what her screen name will be. She doesn't have it at home but does at work. If she can't get it at home she might run over to work. Barb just asked for everyones screen name so I am thinking it is a go for her. Denine is having trouble with the time. She could do it 6:30 their time but not 8:30. I don't believe she has her gift yet. Will keep you posted. My desserts turned out good. It is hard not to sample.

Jeanne, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the adorable outifts for Brooke! I can't wait to have her wear them. We will take pictures when she does wear them so you can see her in them! It is going to be cold the next few days so the "now" outfit will be wore VERY soon!


Sandy, speaking of outifts, Brooke wore your outfit yesterday to her doctor's appointment. She looked precious! We sill send you a picture of her in it so you can see it.

Bonnie, Garry is going to add more pictures to the webshots page in the next few days so you can see more pictures of Brooke if you want to.Too bad we all don't have a reunion trip to disney (or anywhere else for that matter) so we can all get together again!

One positive thing Garry...I would imagine there wasn't alot of crime in that cold! Too cold to even move!

Nothing exciting going on here. Just cleaning and need to exercise. The only "good news" about the exercising is I only gained a total of 9 pounds with Brooke. And I am 21 pounds lighter today then I was 2 weeks ago. I can believe Brooke is 2 weeks old already! Boy is time flying!

I will try to be on tonight. I am so tired right now. I am going to take a nap soon. Kaleigh just went down for hers and Jerry is vacuuming. He also did the laundry while I was at work. I don't know what I would do without him!

Another 3 inches of snow last night and still frigid.
