Thought I would pop on and say "Hello":wave2:

BARB: You must be so proud of Jaymee too!:cloud9:

DENINE: I have drove in many a time to have the meeting cancelled. Next Tuesday I have a meeting but scheduled myself to work that day so I will just take my lunch during the meeting and if it is cancelled so what. I will NEVER drive in from home for another meeting!

JULIE: Busy, busy, busy.:dance3: :dance3:

HEIDI: RCI has a web site but I don't think you can get on unless you are a member. It is no big deal. You will just have to tell us what hotel/motel is close to the reception. You know Bonnie has something with Marriott and Joyce's daughter works for Marriott too.

SANDY: Waiting for my Zoe girl to get here today so I can babysit.

The air conditioning is off. It is 67 degrees and just beautiful. There is a really nice breeze. Hope you all have a Supersonic Saturday and a Wickedly Wonderful Weekend. Toodles, JEANNE:genie: :smickey: :earsgirl:

Jeanne: I don't have any choice but to drive in for meetings. I only work on Friday mornings and they are NEVER then! Enjoy your little Zoe!

Hi Sandy!

Going to buy the paint for the basement today. The Sherwin William's store by us is having a 1 year anniversayr sale and paint is 40% off. You can't beat that, especially when you have a lot of paint to buy.

It is only 61 right now, but suposed to get upt to 76. We will see.

Have to go to the birthday party later. At least it isn't until 5 PM.

That is pretty much it for now.

It was a beautiful Sunday here today.

Remember when I lamented about the nice people moving but not the weirdo people? Well, yesterday when we went for our walk there was no "for sale" sign, but when we got back, there was a sign in the weirdo people's yard. From what we can tell, they have already moved and to Missouri! There is still stuff in the house, but it looks like they took what they needed and left. So now, 2 houses next to each other are for sale.

We worked in the yard today. It looks much better. We made it to church this morning.

My SIL attacked our choice to homeschool last night. Why should it matter to her? But, Kaleigh had fun playing with her cousins.

I may or may not get on the computer tomorrow. We will see.

Jeanne - My mom and dad are a part of RCI too, so maybe they have a way to access it.

My weekend was great, spent it with my family. My niece had me laughing hysterically when she wanted to give me a bath yesterday. She pulled out her sink from her play kitchen and started to pretend licking me, and then she wanted to change Heidi's poopy diaper. She was a riot yesterday. We were suppose to go horseback riding at Chatfield yesterday but as soon as we got there (after paying the entrance fee) they cancelled because it was over 100 degrees. So we went swimming instead and should go horseback riding this coming Saturday morning.

Good Morning

Only 3 more get up at 4:30 am left this week!! Glad to hear everyone had a good weekend. I went to a leaders retreat on Saturday. We got to go to the "Melting Pot" for dinner. It is SUPER fun. It is about $50 a person to eat there but since the church paid so that made it really fun. My summer class is going great, The girls are finishing up their quilts so next week we are moving on to paperbag scrapbooks.

Only 3 weeks until Tiffany goes back to college. Summer is flying by. The friends we are going to Disney with will be in town in August we are meeting so I can explain the dining plan to them. YIPEEE I CAN"T WAIT TO GO!!!

Denine-I know a lot of home schoolers and most of them get some sort of flack from their families. It is a huge undertaking to home school but well worth the time you will put into it. Our chuch has a wonderful support system. The kids actually go to the church once a week or so and the parents trade off and teach classes so the kids benefit from different strenghs. They also are able to interact with other kids which is usually the main thing that unsupportive people use against homeschoolers. About half my class is homeschooled and they are very sweet and well rounded girls, smart and stay on task sometimes better then public schooled kids. Home schooling takes very dedicated and patient parents and most deserve a pat on the back. So hang in there Denine and this is from me  :flower3:

I was working at the computer and realized I forgot to address Barb and Denine!!

Barb - what a great honor for Jaymee, sounds like Bob is very proud of her. Sounds like she is doing awesome.

Denine - Ignore your SIL, she has no right to tell you how to raise Kaleigh. It is your's and Jerry's choice, not hers. Don't let her get you down. I don't understand why people can't keep their mouths closed if they do not agree on something. Hugs to you.

Thanks guys! Kaleigh starts Kindergarten tomorrow and we are hoping to take her to a baseball game tomorrow night as her treat.

We finished music class today. We will do it again in a couple of years but more in depth.

Kaleigh has a library program tonight. She loves the story and craft time.

Otherwise, it is a typical Monday.

Heidi: That is hilarious. I love the "change Heid's poopy diaper" bit! :rotfl2:

Barb: Sounds like you are doing great with the girls this summer. And yes, summer is flying by!

Heidi-Holy Cow I was just scrolling the page and saw your wedding is only 10 months from now. When you got engaged it sounded like FOREVER away until your wedding 10 months sounds right around the corner! Guess better start wedding shopping!:bride:

Hi Guys! Just stopping in to say hi!

Having one of those days! Garry's got a tough week this week. ANOTHER not so nice week ahead of him. More to come when it's a done deal.

Anna Marie goes home tomorrow for a week or so and then we will see her for a little while longer and then we won't see here until maybe early NOV!!!! That is soooooooo hard on the kids and us as well.

Sandy, hope things will slow dow for you soon. And to think, you could be babysitting too! LOL!

Heidi, did you ever decide on a wedding dress?

Barb, are we going to get a peak at these quilts??? PLEASE!!!

Stacy, I meant to tell you before, the pictures of the two are adorable!

Jeanne, how are things going at work?

Denine, your SIL was very wrong to "go after" your education choice at the birthday party. BUT knowing them........ Is Jerry going to be at work on Wed? I could drop off your pamered chef thingamajig. You will have to give me your school work schedule because IF we can get over to visit before my kids go back to school that would be good, but we don't want to interrupt Kaleigh's schooling.

Our chuch has a wonderful support system. The kids actually go to the church once a week or so and the parents trade off and teach classes so the kids benefit from different strenghs. They also are able to interact with other kids which is usually the main thing that unsupportive people use against homeschoolers.

Isn't that the same thing as public and/or private school ??? Learning different things from different teachers?

Anyone who can home school and do it well, bravo! I on the other hand feel really stupid for wasting 4 years to get a degree in education. I should have just said I was home schooling and get my "own school" going without all the work I put into my degree.

I can teach other kids and have patience with them, put my own........ THAT'S another story! LOL!!

well, gonna go! I'll be back later!

TTFN

No wedding dress yet, I will go back out after the cruise. I want to tone up before I buy the dress. I am extremely busy at work. I am trying to get everything done by noon on Friday so I can join Chris, the girls and my cousins at Elitches (an amusement park here, use to be 6 Flags). Have a great day.

Barb - that is nice that your church provides that opportunity for the home schoolers.

Julie - sounds like Gary in on another interesting case. Wow, Anna Marie will be gone till Nov...that is a long time away from you guys. Is it because of school?

Julie: Jerry will not be at work tomorrow, but he will be there on Thursday. I have a meeting at work tomorrow so he is working from home.

I wouldn't dream of standing up in front of 30 kids trying to teach or come up with a curriculum, that is why I buy it! That is also why I don't want to join a co-op, I would have to teach a class in something. I am fine teaching 1 student, I don't even know if I could teach more than one on different grade levels.

I am on the phone with Julie now. Busy, busy, busy!

The first day of school went very well. the second day will be Thursday.

Not going to the ball game tonight. It is supposed to rain and it already has. It is only 65 right now. We are going to try for Friday and watch the fireworks after. So, we are going to Bennigan's instead. Kids eat free on Tuesday!

Heidi: The amusement park sounds like fun!

That is pretty much it for now. I don't know when I will get back on line.

Morning guys,

Today I will babysit both Stacey's twins and Heidi's twins. Should be fun. Heidi, I am guessing that I will get the girls this Thursday as well. Let me know.

Home schooling is good for some and not so good for others. I think it depends on the kids and also how devoted the parent is. Denine, your SIL should not have attacked you for YOUR parental decision.

Julie, another "stay tuned" thing for Big Garry, huh? I can't believe how long you will have to go without seeing Anna Marie. Sad to think but when they get older it is hard to juggle time. Hugs to all of you.

Hi Barb.

Jeanne, I talked to Bonnie on Sunday. You three should meet for dinner some time. Wish I could be there when and if you do! What's Zoe up to these days?

Well, all of the twins have left. I am going to try and go swimming with Heidi's girls when Ted gets home. Gosh, it is so hot. No relief in sight. How is it for everyone out East?

Good morning. The girls had a blast swimming because my mom and dad came!! They are really picky eaters but actually had 2 helpings of dinner last night....maybe I need to take them swimming every night before dinner to get them to eat!!! Had a very scary incident last night, Amanda tipped the pot that had the boiling water in it for the noodles just minutes after the noodles were taken out. It splashed all over her legs and all over me and the kitchen. Her thigh on her left leg was bright red and she was crying, but luckily she was not burned. A few minutes later and a cool wash cloth and she was back to normal, thank goodness.

Good Morning,

Another hot day in Colorado. I sure miss the rain! Only one more get up at 4:30 day until 3 days off!

Julie- Even though the parents teach some class the majority of the learning is homeschooled. When the kids get older junior and high school some parents are stronger in some areas then others so that is one reason they teach classes. Plus it does give the kids some interaction in a class room setting. Students can also take some classes at public schools like Sports, music and languages. Most of the little kids learn only at home.

Heidi-Glad Amanda is ok. OUCH!

Tiffany goes back to school in 3 weeks. I am not looking forward to driving to Tulsa. Last year when we took her it was SOOOO HOT worse then here. We still have some major back to school shopping to do.

Bob and I are watching Ethan in the evening when Missy's works. He is so cute I love spending time with him. After having to spend hours playing with him all I could think of was PLAYGROUP!

Barb, PLAYGROUP!!! Yep, a great idea. Only 3 weeks left for Tif?

Heidi, poor Amanda and YOU! Glad it worked out ok!

Just out wasting time today. Don't want to spend too much time at home. I am on a restrictive diet for 2 days. Don't want any temptations.

Better go pay off the WDW stay. Due on the 27th. Don't want to forget it!

How is the weather out here?????? COld! It is only 66 and it is almost 5 PM and that is the warmest it has been. Summer is over. Also, no more drought. Now, the Friday baeball game is in jeopardy due to rain. I hate cold and rain. It rained a good portion of today. My meeting was dumb and boring and I have another one next week.

I guess I am done ranting for now.

Heidi: That was scary. Glad everyone is OK.

Sandy: 2 sets of twins to babysit and you thought you were done babysitting.

Barb:Only 3 more weeks. You better get shopping!

Julie: Jerry said you should by the house across the street from us.

Good Morning

I'm with you Sandy I would much rather have mid 60ies and 70ies then all this hot stuff we have been getting.

Watched Ethan again last night. I am going to have to rethink my strategy, We are going to have to go for a long walk or to the park to play otherwise he does not slow down. All night long "Mon...mon...mon...side"

Denine-I bet Kaleigh is excited about starting school.:teacher:

Guess I had better get started. :surfweb:
