Sandy, That's great that you guys are going to Cancun on Sat.! I wish I could come. You will have to tell me all about it when you get home!

Heidi, how did dress shopping go? Any dresses stick out in your mind?

Barb, I think that your idea for Ethan's room is great! But watch out doing too many things with your knee.

Well, it is 0 degrees outside and they have already canceled school for tomorrow. The windchill is -21 right now. And tomorrow's high is suppose to only get up to maybe 11 degrees. So we have an extra day to our weekend LOL!!

Before I forget,.....HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY TO THE BIG GUY!!!!!!!!!

He was soooo excited to go to school and celebrate his birthday, I guess he will have to wait until Tuesday or if the cold continues, possible not until wednesday.

Well, gonna run! Be Back on later! Garry has a dr.'s appointment in the afternoon, so I might not be on until later in the evening.

Good Morning

I am at work for now until our Health Clinic opens then I am hoping to be seen. My knee is horrible. swollen and achs. Every now and then I get this shooting pain. I really think something is torn. I hate sitting still so I am sure I made whatever is wrong with it worse this weekend. I shampooed the carpet and did some cleaning. We went to some friends house on Friday and we were playing the virtual bowling game. I thought since I would not have the weight from the real bowling ball I would be ok but just the pressure on my leg was enough to make it worse.

Sandy-Glad you got your picture sized down. There is a guy that posts on another board that his posts take up about half the page because they are so big. I find them very annoying and hate seeing him post. Glad they are doing something about them. I never thought yours was that big.

How did the wedding dress shopping go Heidi? Did you find that perfect dress yet?

How exciting Sandy to be going on a trip! Sounds wonderful. I sure hope that does not change your mind about the Panama Cruise though.

Happy Birthday Big Guy!

It is still 0 degrees with a windchill in the - 20's. Schools are closed everywhere which I find strange. I know it is cold, but we never had school cancelled because it was cold out and I walked to school. Supposed to get all the way up to 7 today.

The party on Saturday was OK. We didn't get home until Midnight. I wanted to leave earlier, but Jerry got involved in a game of Pinocchle.

Barb: I hope you finde out what is wrong with your knee. The "Buzz" room sounds very cute.

Sandy: AWESOME! To just pick up and leave for a week to Cancun. Wish we could do that.

I am soo dizzy again today. I wish I knew why. The sinus medication helps, but I am so tired of it.

Tomorrow we go to Jerry's mom's to celebrate Jerry and his brother's birthdays. I am making Jerry's birthday dinner on Wednesday, he wants chicken parmesan. Thursday we go back to his mom's to take out the rest of the garbage. Friday I work. Saturday we go to our friends for a late night of cards. At least it is supposed to be balmy by the end of the week, all the way up to the low 20's. Have I mentioned that I HATE winter?

First off.....HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY JERRY and HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG GUY

Julie - I cannot believe they called off school just for cold temperatures. That is crazy. We were just talking about this at work and it was on the radio that with the wind chill last Monday morning was -35 and this morning was +35 degress out....in a week the temperature change was 70 degrees, how insane is that?

Barb - you have to take it easy. You need some downtime for your knee to heal. I am sorry you are in so much pain.

Denine - Is Kaleigh satisfied with your response about a brother or sister? Has she asked anymore about it? I think you responded to her very well.

I tried on a bunch of wedding dresses and have found 2 that I have to decide on. I am going to try one more bridal boutique before I have to really think!! I would post pictures that my mom took...but she has them all!!!!!

Julie, I, too, am surprised that they closed schools. They didn't do that for us back in So Dak and they didn't this past week here. We are suppose to be in the 50's again today. They said that we would probably be in the 70's if we didn't have all the snow on the ground. Too bad for us! I think we will be in the big melt this week. So much for the Van Horn sledding hill!

Well I am off to get X-rays. Will be glad when I have an answer even if it is "Tuffen up it's just a paper cut"! I want to be all better for Disney in April. The health clinic told me they thought is was a fracture or a chipped bone.

Last week most of our schools had a 2 hour delay because it was -7 here not sure what the wind chill was just darn cold!

We are going down to Jaymee's graduation in a couple of weeks. Bob made reservations for us in "Visiting Officers Quarters" I guess it is pretty nice. Can't wait to tell Jaymee that when she introduces her dad in his uniform she also needs to tell her TI that he is staying in "Officers Quarters"

Ethan's room sounds so cute...before we bought this house we looked at another house that had a Buzz Lightyear room like you are describing! It was amazing!! She had the dark blue instead of purple...can't wait to see how it turns out! You have to take pictures!

Mom- we have been to Xcaret before. It is ok snorkeling we think. Woohoo for a free pass!!!!

Got to go. Getting ready to have lunch with the lady that cuts my hair...she is dying to see my kids. Plus I have a HUGE list of stuff to get done.

Heidi: No, Kaleigh hasn't said anything else about a sibling. I hope she doesn't for a long time.

I think it is silly to call off schools just because it is cold. It is something they started doing a few years ago. I don't know why. If they called off school in the upper mid-west or Alaska everytime it was cold, they would have the whole winter off. You just bundle your kids up and send them off like our parents did. There were between 500-600 schools in northeast Ohio closed this morning.

Julie: I got your message. We are to be in Wadsworth at 7:30 PM. I will talk to Jerry about stopping by.

Jerry has a class all week, so he is working until 5 PM every day.

Kaleigh has been very snippy lately and complaining about EVERYTHING. It is driving me nuts. I hope it is a phase. Yesterday, I threatened to send her to school.

Barb, I remember Stacey getting her knee done because she was dying at WDW! Good thing you are doing it even if it is "just a paper cut"!!!!!

Help, we have to dress nice for some dinners. What would that be for Feb? Skirts and short sleeves? Dressy black pants with a nice sparkly black wide strapped tank? Dresses? I think I will only pack one or two and if we go more than a couple of times, I guess they will have to see me in it twice!

Stacey-Tell me all about the room you saw. Did they use that Alien Green? It is a Disney color. I am worried about it looking strange on a wall. The border I am bidding on is actually 2 shades of blue so blue would match it better.

I got my X-rays and am awaiting the results. I sure hope they call soon. The nurse at our Health Clinic said she thought it was either a fracture or a broken bone piece.

OMG Barb....I can't believe that it could be a fracture or broken bone!! I can't even imagine how much pain you are in!!! I know when they went into my knee, they found a couple chips but it sounds like nothing compared to you! Poor thing!!

The room was in the alien green and it was a dark blue. If I remember right,the green was on the bottom and the blue was on top. Yeah, that is right because as I am writing I remember there was also a spaceship on one of the walls. She also did the ceiling in the dark blue and put the glow in the dark stars on. Really, really cute. If Tyler is into something like that, I would love to do his room like that when they each move into their own room.

Had a good lunch with Traci...she is amazed on how Joey is such a girly girl and Tyler is definitely a boy. After that we came back and washed twenty layers it seemed off the truck. I know it is going to get dirty again but I don't care...it had to get done. You brushed up on it and you would walk away as dirty as it.

Time to study!!

Hi Stacey-That sounds exactly like I was thinking for Ethan's room. Glad it looked cute. We have the textured ceilings so it will have to stay white.

What did they do for your knee? She said it sounded like some bone chips or a fracture. I keep thinking it will go away but I am not able to walk very good yet. BLAH! I wish I had some heroic story on what I did but honestly I don't know. I feel right on my knees several months ago and have had some pain off and on but nothing like it is now with the swelling and numbness and I can not walk. I guess bowling really mess it up. When people ask me I feel dumb saying ummmm not sure.

I understand Barb about feeling dumb. I have no idea what I did to my knee either...we went to Disney World one time and I woke up with it killing me. I had to lean on Richard for the rest of the trip but I didn't let it slow me down...kinda like bowling. Second time to Disney World I brought my uncle's brace and wore it the entire time...it only helped a little. When we got back I went to to the doctor since the pain never went away the last time. I don't remember exactly what was wrong but they did orthoscopic surgery on it. It was an outpatient surgery so I was home in a couple of hours. You feel fine the first day because you are loaded full of drugs. When you wake up the next morning and TRY to get out of bed...doesn't happen without help. Somehow your brain completely shuts that leg down..it was really weird. Let me know what they tell you that you can do...I can give you plenty of info. about the surgery.

I think I haven't been posting because my life has been very boring but sometimes boring is okay because it means nothing bad is happening. Tonight I am going to a red wine and dark chocolate party for the American Heart Association. Suppose to get my hair done today by my daughter-in-law (and does it ever need it!).

Baby Zoe is really good. I babysit on Wednesday and Saturday if I have off. I babysat Saturday but I have to work tomorrow so I won't get to babysit again until Saturday. She is getting so big. One of these days I will figure out how to post photos and you will get to see her!

Still have not gotten complete results. I called the nurse yesterday and she said you have blah blah blah with your knee cap and some fluid. So Thank goodness no fracture or bone chips she thinks. She is suppose to call with the details today.
