Like I said before, I'll be talking to myself this weekend! Oh well! Anna Marie DID NOT come over this weekend like she told us she would. Oh well. She wanted to study for her exams and thought that she couldn't do it over here. Like we had anything planned this weekend and like we don't have any room in the house where she could study, but oh well. Her mother doesn't want to pay to change her ticket, so I guess (last I heard) was she was going to come with us on the 5th. We shall see. We do have a good 9 days for her and her mother to make more of a mess.

The kids have 5 days left of school. They both go to the zoo on monday the 4th. And that will be Garry's last day of school for him and Makenzie will go in on Tuesday for a little while and then off to the airport.

Has anyone read about those Owner Lockers? We decided to get one. We take an aerobed and these "lockers" will fit that along with a whole bunch of stuff. SO, in Dec., we won't have to pack as much because the "essentials" will already be down there and waiting for us. Hopefully this "locker" thing works out. We can store: shampoo, mouthwash, toothbrushes, wine glasses (if we decide to buy some down there) first aid kit, hair "thing-ies" for the girls, coffee filters, creamer, bug spray, suntan lotions, (anything that will "keep" or doesn't have an exp. date before our next visit), the areobed, sheets for the areobed, q-tips, flip flops for some of us, all our rain ponchos, and a backpack/bag we use in disney. I'm sure I can think of other things depending on what I can fit into it when it arrives at BWV.
They deliver it to your resort AND pick it up when you leave and store it in a climate controlled warehouse. And you can check on your "locker" online. You can also add an inventory online so you know what you have in the locker.

Julie-What is a owners locker? I am confused. Is it your stuff or Disney's Do you send it??

Yesterday's "Pirate Party" was a big success. Everyone showed up that said they would and seemed to have a good time. Everyone commented on the decorations. Phew one more event behind me. Next week is the family luau for Missionettes!

Denine- The new Pirates is much more violent then any of the others. It is good but I feel maybe not as kid friendly as the others. Heard one little boy crying last night. Dad had to take him out.

Today I am going to finish packing up all my Pirate decorations. Got everything down last night. Just the packing to do. We have a party to go to today at 2:00 then home to get ready for another work week. Sure will be lonely on the board tomorrow.

Not only did we completely finish the swing set on Friday but yesterday we painted the 2-story foyer and upstairs and downstairs hallways. Glad that job is over!!!! We are going to paint the guest room the same color and would have done that today if we weren't sooo tired. It took a lot less paint then we thought it would.

Today we just did the clean-up and rested. Tomorrow I work and then we head to Julie's to drop off her PC stuff and then to Jerry's mom's for a cook out. I made my roasted potato salad today to take tomorrow.

Hi Barb and Denine!

If you look at the community board's "home page" you will see up near the top of the page by the "locked" threads/Announcements you will see the thread about the owners lockers (right by the Disney Cruise line Shipboard credit thread) and when you click on it, it will send you to the web site. The owner's of the business seems to be a nice guy and answers emails very quickly. I will let you all know how it goes when we get to BWV on the 6th. the first night, the 5th, we are staying at the Swan. I didn't feel like using more points for another night, so we got a discount at the Swan instead. Which is nice because we can just walk over to check in.

Today we took the kids to see Shrek 3. It was cute. The kids liked it, but the movies for 5 people..... it doesn't happen too often! LOL!!!

Well, gotta go. Going to start getting clothes out to pack!

Happy Memorial Day!

Good Morning!
I am here at work. Had to start at 6:00 instead of 7:00. Bob and Tiffany are coming up for lunch. My drive in was wonderful. I drive about 20 miles one way to work. There was hardly any traffic and I hit every light green all the way up. I shaved over 10 minutes off my drive time. It was sooo nice not fighting traffic.

The weather here is really nice. I bet Sandy, Heidi and Stacey are having a great time.

I have a feeling I am going to be by myself today

Howdy, I am back and caught up on everything.

Barb, glad the party went well. I am kind of thinking to hold off on the new Pirate movie and rent it when it comes out. I was surprised that you worked yesterday. Where in Mexico is Jason and Michelle going?

Denine. what a yucky weekend spent painting. As you all know, that is my least favorite thing to do!!!!

Julie, my, my. You are getting close. ONE MORE WEEK and you will be in WDW!!!! Good thing that the storm held off until the field day was over! I was wondering if all this rain is hurting the kids here. Field day is something ALL kids look forward to!

Stacey had the stomach flu over the weekend and just couldn't shake it. Heidi, Chris, Ted and I babysat pretty much the whole weekend so that she could sleep. Even Stacey and Heidi's "adopted" grandparents came down to celebrate their birthdays. She didn't even get to see them. He is 84 and she is in her late 70's. Didn't want them to catch it. I will let the girls tell you what they gave them for their birthday.

Heidi is off today and I get Graci. We decided to go swimming for awhile. The way it looks, I will get Graci and Noah on Thurs for the month of June and then I am done. They are on the track system so I might need to fill in on their times off.

Stacey: What a yucky way to spend you birthday. Hope you are feeling better and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!

Sandy: It was cool and rainy on Saturday, so at least we got something done inside and it looks sooooo nice. I HATE white walls! I don't like much of anything white actually.

It was beautiful yesterday. We were at Julie's for about an hour so the kids could play. Then off to Jerry's mom's. Yummy food. Work was OK too.

It is beautiful again today. We were outside for about an hour this morning.

Got a box from DVC. We have papers to sign for our purchase but they also sent us a HUGE tote bag with the DVC logo and DVC member written on it!

I got almost all of the pampered chef stuff delivered. Making another delivery tonight then all I have left is my mom and a friend whom we will see on Saturday.

Another police officer was killed in the line of duty Friday night. The funeral is going to be 5 minutes from my house. It is actually at the church we attend when we manage to get there. It is a really small church. I can't imagine how many officers will be there. I told Jerry to remind me not to go to the store or anywhere Thursday morning. Although, if Kaleigh was old enough to understand, I would have taken her to see all the support.

I can't believe we are going back to WDW in 2 weeks!

I am so surprised they have chosen a smaller church to have a funeral for a Police officer. When that happens here my church is always the church they choose because it holds about 8000. All the officers that can attend do. It is such a sad thing it just makes my blood boil when an officer gets shot. It is usually over stupid things. Last year a young officer was shot down by some stupid kid. I pass right by my church on the way home from work. I think every police car in the city was in the parking lot with their flasher lights on plus all the firetrucks. During the funeral there was a helicopter circling the church it was an incredible sight.

I am surprised as well that it will be at a smaller church. Pretty much here it is downtown Denver somewhere and then a procession to the Ft Logan Natl Cemetary where my parents and Ted's parents are buried. The traffic is horrendous Denine. Wise decision NOT to go out!!

Back from swimming. Had a great time. Now we are in a thunderstorm. Gotta run.

I'm sure this officer's family won't think that. This officer was killed because he anwered a call about a fight in a neighborhood. He didn't even get out of her cruiser before he got shot. tried to exit his vehicle, got shot again, fell to the ground and then was shot point blank in the face. All for answering a disturbance call. The guy that shot him has had a history of violence and has stated before this.. he was going to kill a cop. Nice guy huh!

I would have gone to Denine's on Thursday JUST to see the support of this officer. Unfortunately I have to go on a swimming field trip with Makenzie and Garry and won't get back until after 1pm. They both read 2600 minutes this school year and completed the accelerated reading requirements so they get to go to an indoor pool and have lunch there. It is the first time they are doing this so it is special.

Well, I have all the kids clothes ready to go into the suitcase. I think I might actually get all the kids in one suitcase!! And Garry and I in another!!

Tomorrow we are getting whole house air FINALLY!!! I had several estimates, but the one we are going with is HOGG. they were $1000+ under all the others!!! They said it will take about 4 1/2 hours to put in, so by 1pm we should be cool as a cucumber!!!

Hi everyone! Well the guys are here for the air conditioning. They were here at 8:15am! I guess I don't mind early! They were suppose to be here at 8:30am so 15 mins early is ok. The sooner they get done, the quicker we will be cool!

All I have to do is to get Garry and my things out and ready to pack. Which isn't much since I do laundry every night at WDW. It is soooooooo nice to have the washer and dryer in the room with us!! We are in a 1 bedroom at BWV and this is the first time we will be in a standard view. We have always had a boardwalk view or water view, but we are saving about 100 pts getting this view. We will see if we like it or not. We aren't in the room that much, soooo hopefully this won't be too bad. The look looks out over the entrance of the resort.

Good Morning!

How horrible Julie about that officer, stupid and senseless.

Missy comes home today about being gone for about 3 weeks. I sure have missed Ethan.

2 suitcases!!! that is amazing Julie. I take 2 suitcases just by myself!!

Dang it, my contact has been bothering me all morning. I just found out it is torn and the smaller piece is unaccounted for. I get such a headache when one eye is focused and the other is blurry.

Thank you for all the birthday wishes. It was a great weekend, it would have been better if I could have spent more time with my sister, but hopefully this weekend she feels better and we can spend more time together. I loved having so much Joey and Tyler time, they are at such a fun age.

I leave next week for a week in Salt Lake City, so trying to get things done at work the next 3 days.

My mom and dad got us shipboard credit for our birthday and we pretty much celebrated our birthday the entire weekend. My mom got us birthday signs and made us a birthday shirt with a pink princess mickey head that said something like Celebrating my birthday, feel free to treat me like a princess. Poor Stacey didn't get to enjoy it as much as I did. Chris got me the Ipod I wanted and then we went to Cheesecake Factory for my birthday.

Barb - I hope your headache will go away. Your pirates party sounded fun. I can't wait to see the movie but I am guessing it may be another week before we get to do it.

I can't believe Denine and Julie are going back to WDW....I am so jealous!!!

Around here, the officer's funeral is generally at the officer's chuch. He grew up here and that is the church his family attends. I may take Kaleigh up anyway. We will see. The road will be closed so I will have to park and walk.
The shooter really should have been locked up and not out on the streets!

Saturday is the summer reading kick-off at the library. They are having a pirate theme. So we will go to that and then we are going to our friends that night to play cards.

Just a quick check in. Ummmm, Heidi. Remember I re-dipped one chip last night. Well, ummmmm. I ended up with the symptom that Stacey had over the weekend. I hope you don't get it. Stacey told me that I had to be the better person and tell you. Why does she have to be right?

Julie, I didn't mean anything bad by my comment about the traffic. Just that it is hard on the general public. A processional is very much expected and understood. We have an evaporative cooler. It works GREAT, but I think I would rather have AC. I bet an evaporative cooler wouldn't work in your area. Aren't you humid? I bet that you will be pleased with your room. Just like you said, you aren't in your room much. If it still has your laundry facilities, then you should be good to go. I guess that is why we only go to ASMo. Heck, why spend the extra bucks just to sleep in a room?
