Hi all! Sorry to be MIA lately, trying to spend as much time outside with the kids as much as possible and then by the time I get in, make dinner (twice, once for the kids and another for Garry before he goes to work), clean up the house, and then domy treadmill.... I just crash after all of that. I have lurked, but just no time to post. Let's see.....
Jeanne, sorry I missed you, but HAVE A GREAT TIME IN VEGAS!!! Take lots of pictures!!!!
Sally, glad to hear that Dick is doing well. You be careful of the heat!!!
Sandy, I wouldn't worry about your cabin. Like Denine said, how long do you really spend in your cabin?? If you are really afraid of the noise, why don't you ask for a different cabin. They can do it now and you don't have pay anything. I'm sure there are other cabins in that catagory that are still open, IF not, they can put you on a "wait list".
Heidi, Ted and Sandy, we will be thinking of you tomorrow!
Denine, don't get so upset with the potty training. I know it is SOOOOOOOO frustrating, but she will do it in her own time. When she stayed in our room in June, she went potty for Anna Marie because she saw the other two do it. When she sees the pool, tell her that she can go in it ONLY if she tells you she has to go potty and uses the potty. Tell her she has to us the "special pool potty" and show her where it is (the one by the mickey slide) and then say you have to go potty in there before you can go in the pool each time you want to go to the pool. AND after you are in the pool for awhile, you have to go to the special potty again OR if you have to go potty when you are in the pool you have to go use the "special potty". Believe me, BELIEVE ME it is the OLDER kids in the pool you have to be careful of!!!!! I'd let her go in the pool. You just need to take "potty breaks" while you are there. She has the concept, she just doesn't want to do it at home. I know The Big Guy did a great job going potty on the cruise last time, it was when we were home on his "home turf" that he didn't care if he did or not.
Denine, we got a little shower yesterday THAT'S IT!!!!! It thundered a lot, but just a little sprinkle!
Barb, The Big Guy liked Mozart as well. If I remember, didn't I get you a tape Denine or tell you about them? As for tips on a the cruise ( since we have cruised with under 3yr olds for ALL of our cruises.....) they SUGGEST that you tip for everyone in your party. IF our servers for dinner were outstanding we usually gave then the suggested tip and more. BUT on one cruise, there were several dinners where we had the youngest not with us, so on that cruise (since the servers were not the greatest) we tipped them for only the nights that the "baby" was with us. The stateroom host/hostess always get the suggested tip (or more) for the ENTIRE "cabin party size" no matter how old everyone was since they really took care of ALL of us in the cabin. Remember, it is your decision as to how much to tip, what they "suggest" is exactly that, a suggestion. Garry and I usually tip what they recommend and usually more BUT there are some exceptions (like I mentioned above) that we didn't. I hope this helps and hasn't confused you. ALSO, remember even if the baby is sleeping in the "crib" that the ship have, the baby still counts as 1 person. SO even if you have 4 in your party and an infant you will need 2 cabins or be bumped up to a family suite (cat. 4 it think) because they count your party size as 5 passagers. Cat. 3,2,1 are the "BIG cabins with the BIG price". LOL!!!
Hi Sally! So do you have a favorite on Big Brother yet? I like Eric the fireman and the girls.... maybe April (the newlywed). I can't stand Howie the weatherman in training.
Heidi, ok tell us the real story behind your bruise... LOL!!! I get bruises all the time. It looks like I've been beaten! LOL! And for most of the them, I have no clue when or where I got them.
Well, we have a birthday party this friday and saturday. A "beach party" for Daisies next saturday and the following weekend we have a birthday party on saturday and sunday. After that the first weekend in Aug., we have a family reunion on the sat. the 6th and then the following weekend we have Garry's dad's 70th birthday party on that sunday. So we aren't really that busy! LOL! Oh yeah, I have Makenzie going to a tuitor once a week to help keep things "fresh in her mind" for school which starts in 5 weeks!!!!
Well, I've gotta go. I'll be back I promise!!!!
