October 19th Cruisers again and again... Part 2

Hi all! Sorry to be MIA lately, trying to spend as much time outside with the kids as much as possible and then by the time I get in, make dinner (twice, once for the kids and another for Garry before he goes to work), clean up the house, and then domy treadmill.... I just crash after all of that. I have lurked, but just no time to post. Let's see.....

Jeanne, sorry I missed you, but HAVE A GREAT TIME IN VEGAS!!! Take lots of pictures!!!!

Sally, glad to hear that Dick is doing well. You be careful of the heat!!!

Sandy, I wouldn't worry about your cabin. Like Denine said, how long do you really spend in your cabin?? If you are really afraid of the noise, why don't you ask for a different cabin. They can do it now and you don't have pay anything. I'm sure there are other cabins in that catagory that are still open, IF not, they can put you on a "wait list".

Heidi, Ted and Sandy, we will be thinking of you tomorrow!

Denine, don't get so upset with the potty training. I know it is SOOOOOOOO frustrating, but she will do it in her own time. When she stayed in our room in June, she went potty for Anna Marie because she saw the other two do it. When she sees the pool, tell her that she can go in it ONLY if she tells you she has to go potty and uses the potty. Tell her she has to us the "special pool potty" and show her where it is (the one by the mickey slide) and then say you have to go potty in there before you can go in the pool each time you want to go to the pool. AND after you are in the pool for awhile, you have to go to the special potty again OR if you have to go potty when you are in the pool you have to go use the "special potty". Believe me, BELIEVE ME it is the OLDER kids in the pool you have to be careful of!!!!! I'd let her go in the pool. You just need to take "potty breaks" while you are there. She has the concept, she just doesn't want to do it at home. I know The Big Guy did a great job going potty on the cruise last time, it was when we were home on his "home turf" that he didn't care if he did or not.

Denine, we got a little shower yesterday THAT'S IT!!!!! It thundered a lot, but just a little sprinkle!

Barb, The Big Guy liked Mozart as well. If I remember, didn't I get you a tape Denine or tell you about them? As for tips on a the cruise ( since we have cruised with under 3yr olds for ALL of our cruises.....) they SUGGEST that you tip for everyone in your party. IF our servers for dinner were outstanding we usually gave then the suggested tip and more. BUT on one cruise, there were several dinners where we had the youngest not with us, so on that cruise (since the servers were not the greatest) we tipped them for only the nights that the "baby" was with us. The stateroom host/hostess always get the suggested tip (or more) for the ENTIRE "cabin party size" no matter how old everyone was since they really took care of ALL of us in the cabin. Remember, it is your decision as to how much to tip, what they "suggest" is exactly that, a suggestion. Garry and I usually tip what they recommend and usually more BUT there are some exceptions (like I mentioned above) that we didn't. I hope this helps and hasn't confused you. ALSO, remember even if the baby is sleeping in the "crib" that the ship have, the baby still counts as 1 person. SO even if you have 4 in your party and an infant you will need 2 cabins or be bumped up to a family suite (cat. 4 it think) because they count your party size as 5 passagers. Cat. 3,2,1 are the "BIG cabins with the BIG price". LOL!!!

Hi Sally! So do you have a favorite on Big Brother yet? I like Eric the fireman and the girls.... maybe April (the newlywed). I can't stand Howie the weatherman in training.

Heidi, ok tell us the real story behind your bruise... LOL!!! I get bruises all the time. It looks like I've been beaten! LOL! And for most of the them, I have no clue when or where I got them.

Well, we have a birthday party this friday and saturday. A "beach party" for Daisies next saturday and the following weekend we have a birthday party on saturday and sunday. After that the first weekend in Aug., we have a family reunion on the sat. the 6th and then the following weekend we have Garry's dad's 70th birthday party on that sunday. So we aren't really that busy! LOL! Oh yeah, I have Makenzie going to a tuitor once a week to help keep things "fresh in her mind" for school which starts in 5 weeks!!!!

Well, I've gotta go. I'll be back I promise!!!!

No favorites yet...maybe after tonight.....I am tivoing it tonight as we are going out to the Extreme makeover house this evening.....it should be interesting....hope to get some pictures

Julie-What is Cruisetoberfest??? Thanks for the tips on the tips for the cruise!

Hey Mom I must have missed your email where you invited me to go with you to the Extreme Makeover! :teeth:

Barb, I'm really not sure either! I think it is a group of Diser's that cruise together each year or every other year together. I THINK they have gatherings on board and stuff like that. They like to get as many diser's to go as possible. They seem nice and have made a list of everyone one who is going so far. They seem to welcome everyone as part of their group. BUT I'm really not sure. Denine MIGHT know more.

Julie- Are you and Denine cruise Oct 2005 or Oct 2006 on this "Cruisetoberfest"??

If it is 2006 maybe I can go :cool1: But then again maybe I should wait for 2007 so I can get a better price and maybe a SPHR (an dmaybe my mom and dad would go then too). But I do want to try and make it out to WDW in December sometime like some of you met up a few years ago.

Barb, we are planning on the Oct 14th 2006 "Cruisetoberfest". We rebooked while we were on the last cruise. We picked that week because it was one of the "special" cruises with 2 stops at Castaway Cay. BUT IF Faith can get the Walt Disney Suite and the rest of the 19th cruisers decide to go another time we MIGHT change because I would really like to cruise with EVERYONE!!!! Denine and Jerry also rebooked while on board too. That is why weare cruising again together!! We do have lots of fun cruising together don't we Denine Hit me here and hit me there..... 21 or boost! Jerry.... AI like chicken!

At the time we rebooked, we didn't know that it was the Cruisetoberfest.

HEY Heidi, we have two cabins for the 2006 cruise, if you want to play nanny....... we can add you to one of the rooms!!!! They are verandah rooms and connecting so we could!!! :teeth:

Oct 14 2006, Eh? Sounds fun. Will look into that one.

Is the Walt Disney suite a one or two bedroom?

Julie what the heck does this mean?? Some form of greek?

Yakkity, yakkity, yakkity today. The day I am busy and everyone comes out of the woodwork.

I can't ask for another room because it was a gty status. Ted is kind of psyched over it because on a choppy day you can hear the water. That interests me too.

Will more than likely be MIA until Sunday or Monday.

Have a great weekend everyone.

I will miss you Sandy! I will be thinking of you Heidi and Ted during the next few days.

Ouuuuuuu look at me 918 posts!!! Only 82 more to go until I hit 1000!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Balls to you sir, Balls to you sir, up and down the court!

Barb: I don't know anything more about Cruistoberfest than Julie. The have done it for a few years now. A bunch of them cruise together and the rest of us are add ons, b ut are welcomed into the group. I am not active on the thread, but do get the newsletter.

Julie: Welcome back. I bet the kids are having a blast in the pool this summer. So much for getting together once we got back from WDW. We are both busy. You gave Kaleigh her first Baby Einstein videos. I am hoping once Kaleigh sees the pool and finds out it is off limits, she will use the potty. She can if she wants to, she doesn't want to.

Well, Jerry took Kaleigh to the grocery store. I got the doors off the cabinets and everything sanded. The problem is, I can't find the stain and varnish! I know we moved them to this house, just don't know what box they are in. So, here I am!

Barb: We are quoting lines from pub night on the last night of the cruise. I like chicken was from when Jerry got to be the "dummy" with the ventriloquist. We even had Kaleigh saying "I like chicken" last night. Jerry found out the ventriloquist is still on the ship and he is not going to the show. I asked how I was supposed to get video of it since we forgot the cameras last time. He said we would just have to relive it in our memories.

Heidi: 2006!

I can't believe I am the last and first to post and today was Friday!

I probably won't be on the rest of the weekend, so someone else is going to have to keep this thread close to the beginning of the CB.

Well, Jerry found my stain and varnish. Still haven't started though.

Had a good morning at work. I work again tomorrow.

Kaleigh had another temper tantrum.

I really want to see Willy Wonka. I love the old version. It is up at the drive-in, but too late of a start when the alarm goes off at 4:30 AM.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Sorry you are alone on the bb......I spent the morning cutting the backyard, moving rocks, watering my plants, cleaning the patio and cleaning and filling bird feeders. Then it got too hot to be outside.

Haven't done much this afternoon but watch tv.....still no word from Dick's test. They called and wanted Dick to pick up his x-rays from the specialist and I ask her if they had the results yet and she said she didn't know.

We went out to the Extreme Home Makeover last night. Lots of people but you couldn't get very close. They keep us behind a fence in a field. The house is up but the landscaping wasn't done yet....I guess they are doing it tomorrow. Ty was at a rodeo and I heard he went to the emergency room on Wed to have a splinter taken out of his behind.. It started to rain and by the time we got to the car it started to pour and hail......I did get some pictures but you can't really see much.

We are back. Hoping to read some chatter but I guess everyone is too busy.

Sally, we had some friends check out the house and they said the same thing. That you can't see much. Thought about going out as we were only about 20 miles from it but decided to swim instead. Had a nice weekend. We didn't get any rain or hail in Monument.

Denine, I have never seen Willy Wonka. Everyone says the old version is a must see. Ted's sister just saw Wedding Crasher and thought it was cute. Hopefully we will find some time to go see it.

Missing everyone. Come out, come out!

Hi everyone. It's me - SUSAN!! Sorry I havena't been on lately. Work has been crazy and I have been crashing when I get home. I just ready about 6 pages of posts and think I am caught up on everyone. I'm going to the pool for a little with Turner and will post again this evening. I have missed you all.

Later!

Enjoyed a nice cool swim. The heat and humidity have been unbearable. After dinner, I rode bikes with Turner for a half hour but couldn't take any more. I am drenched.

I bet you all are so excited about the upcoming cruise. I really wish we were going with you. Don't forget us while you all are having a great time.

We are leaving on the 9th for DC. Turner has a hockey camp in Alexandria, VA on the 12-14 so we are going up a few days early to enjoy some time in the Capitol and visit friends.

Next weekend we are going to a big party at my brother's house. It is a send off party for my niece's husband. His unit has been given orders for Iraq and he leave in about 2 weeks. It is a surprise for him and there will be about 50 people there.

I plan to do better posting now that I am starting to feel better. Work is a crazy but I will still try to post a couple times a week.

Miss you all.

Later!
