Hi guys. Just tried to catch up on you wild women. Sounds like a full array of life going on.
Sandy, you asked about heavy emotion and it's effect on an unborn baby. I think that our emotions and hormones are certainly passed on to the baby. The baby has the experience of the feeling without having a clue as to why it's happening. This can be either a bad thing or a good thing. For her to visit and see her Grandfather in his final days is actually a huge outpouring of love, which isn't bad. If she sees his life, her love for him, his moving on to the next adventure, etc. as a natural part of the wonderful gift of life that we have, then I don't think it would be bad at all. That the baby can experience such a strong feeling of love, could be a great piece of his/her development. Well, that's my two cents anyway. While pregnant with Katie I was researching on this topic. There was this one example of a guy who, under hypnosis, was able to perfectly describe the sounds and strong emotion of an event before he was born. After the Dr. talked to his Mom, it was a cocktail party (he described sounds of clinking glasses, talking, music) where the Mom had just learned that the fact that her baby was illigitamate was spreading around the room like wildfire (he described her embarrassment as the emotion felt, but was confused as to why). Weird huh? There was another where a guy knew an uncommon concerto perfectly, yet had never heard it. Thought maybe he'd made it up. Turns out, his Mom was working on learning that one on her violin for a few months of her pregnancy. But never played it again after he was born.

Barb - back to back cruises, you are as lucky as the people going on the PC cruise. I would LOVE to spend 14 days on that ship.

Bonnie - Keep up the emails, I think my dad is caving in!!!! When he told me that you were emailing him, I almost fell over laughing ....you go girl!!

Hoping tonight I get a full nights sleep. Haven't been able to sleep a full night since I moved into my place with all these changes happening.

Denine- You were able to stay on the cruise ship during the turn over right? Disney was not sure we would be. I sure hope so. Also I am booking on of the weeks with our points. I hope it is not to confusing. Did you like the back to back?

One of the girls I work with was killed in a car accident on Saturday. She was hit by a driver that ran a red light only about a mile from my house. So Sad.

Has anyone called Disney about the magazine to see what other options they have if you don't want either magazine choice?

Work to full days in the yard. Still not done but made a lot of progress. The pond is so clean we can actually see the fish!

I have been so busy today. Ted made a decision to go to the campground tonight so I am frantically trying to shop and pack by 4. Just wanted you all to know I didn't forget you.

Denine, our Palo brunch is now on Saturday.

Barb, Heidi is right. Stacey called and asked for reimbursement on the magazine. It was our last issue. I can't believe that they hounded me soooo much to resubscribe about 1 or 2 months ago and in fact they called me twice to do it knowing all the time that it was going out of press. Bad business!

Sandy: Brunch, what time on Saturday? I think I may just keep the Monday ressies since I have to book Kaleigh into Flounders and that is already done.

Kaleigh faltered a bit today, but it was a weird day since I had to work and Jerry was working from home. He was in a meeting and she had to go potty, but he couldn't take her. After that, we had no success, but wet pull-ups. She did just use it a while ago with success and was excited again. So, hopefully tomorrow will be back on track.

Still need to call to get the Disney magzine refund

Dreary day today. Only in the 50's.

Barb: Yes, we stayed on the ship during turn-around. They make the decision at the time, but I think everyone to date has been allowed to stay on. We also did 1 week on points and 1 on cash. It wasn't confusing at all.
So sad about your co-worker.

Sandy: Thanks for the head's up on the excursions. I guess we need to decide and call.

Well a lack of sleep and all this stress has finally caught up to me in a stupid cold. I don't want to be sick for my birthday, but it seems to never fail every year!!!

I am excited to go to the campground this weekend, but it makes me a little nervous being away from my grandpa and my sister. I said she was gonna go into labor this Saturday.....we will see!!! Seems as if the whole entire campground already knows about my sister being pregnant with twins, such a small town atmosphere!!!! Hopefully my uncle Mike will take good care of my grandp this weekend, hopefully his kids won't drive my grandpa nuts!!!

Good Morning

I am dragging today. I think working so hard this weekend in the yard has caught up with me. I don't know how my Mom does it!

One of my friends (Julie) came over last night to help me work out details for the Bon Voyage Party for my manager (Loretta) and her daughter Maddie and Maddie's friend that is going with them on the Disney Cruise, Kendra who happens to be (Julie's) daughter. Are you confused yet? This is the cruise sponcered by Make a Wish. Anyway I am planning a Bon Voyage Party for them here at work. Julie didn't leave until almost 11:00! So needless to say I am beat today.

That guy that ran a red light and killed the girl I work with is getting charged with man slaughter. The good news is his kids that were in the car with him and got thrown out are ok.

Oh Denine, I am so sorry that the Flounders reservations were covering Palo Brunch. I never put that together because we have never had to deal with clubs. So Flounders isn't run the same way as the other clubs? Is it more like babysitting? Can you choose several times? Oh what a mess I had! My fault and I sincerely apologize. If I had only known! The brunch now is 10:30 Saturday. Kaleigh will have those wet days but eventually fewer and far between. Just keep doing the happy potty dance and bribing her with M&M's.

Heidi, Don the night manager told me that Bonnie's mom is in intensive care. Not looking very good for her. Anyway, I don't even think Bonnie told Stacey and Richard and we aren't to either. Sorry everyone. Didn't want to forget to tell Heidi. That means Stacey's grandpa, Richard's grandma and the babies all at the same time. How horrible for them! Ok Heidi, what do you want for your birthday dinner on Sunday? Is Chris going to be there for dinner or will you celebrate another time with him?

Barb, you are so nice to have the Bon Voyage Party. I bet they are all so excited. Did you remember to give them your tips?

I wasn't suppose to get Noah today but he has to come with Graci. He was to go to sports camp UNTIL he broke his arm in two places. Bless his heart. I feel so bad. His last broken arm was at my house when he fell down the stairs. Man, did I ever feel bad that a little tyke broke his arm here!! Luckily his mom trusts me so much that I wasn't accused of anything. People she knew said that she should yank them out of my care.

Sandy: Yes, flounder's is babysitting. You have to pay. It is worth every penny though! We have her booked into Flounder's for several different times. I hope to get more.

We were able to get the excursions we wanted, so that is all set.

Kaleigh is back on track with the potty training today.

We don't know what to do about a swing set for Kaleigh. I was going to get her a metal one until I found out how cheap they are made. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, but the wooden ones are so expensive. The "cheapest" we could get away with would be $1000. Don't have that kind of money right now. DO we get her the cheapy metal one until we can afford something nicer or wait until next year when finances will be a bit better? Kaleigh really wants one and I wanted to get it as a birthday present.

Barb: You will have to tell us how the party went.

Sue/Heidi: We would be more than happy to have you babysit Kaleigh. What cabin will you be in?

Another cold, dreary day in the 50's. I just want it to warm up already!

Denine, I am surprised that you have to pay for Flounders. Is it on an hourly basis? As far as swingsets are concerned. We all survived on metal ones. I say go for the cheapy!!

Heidi, Stacey just told me that they do know and have for about a week. She said that the dr just said she has about 4 days. Stacey is here right now so I have to boogy.

Well, GI GARRY did it again!!! Friday night he ended up chasing a suspect and the chase ending with both of them going over a 8ft chain link fence. When Garry came down he landed on his bad knee ( the one he had surgery on back in 2002). Well, he ended up going to the hospital to get it looked at and xrayed and was told to make an appointment with the city's doctor. WELL, the city doctor's appointment was today who stated that the xray showed some fluid on both sides of the knee and that he should be on light duty and have PT. SO, he had to go to the station to tell them the situation and the SAME IDIOT that gave him such a hard time last time and made him come in on light duty on CRUTCHES, said, there is no light duty here! Can you believe that!!! THen said to go home and wait for a call as to what is going to happen, SO until the doctor says he can go back to full duty, he is off. He has to go back to the city doctor next week and if there is still fluid in there (duh,of course there will be!) he will have to go back to his surgeon and have it drained again and then get another MRI on it and go from there! NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All of this and this is a busy time of year with school. Today I had both Makenzie and Garry in school, Brooke at my dad's and I worked the school book fair this morning. Came home,got Garry and took him to his dr.'s appointment. Tomorrow they asked me to help close up the book fair. Then tomorrow night there is a PTA meeting that they JUST told me about this morning. Thursday is school for Makenzie, The Big Guy graduates 3yr preschool, and Friday is Makenzie's field day at her school that they asked me to work at. THEN I go get Anna Marie in the afternoon. Saturday we are supposed to go to my Aunt's for a family picnic. AND that is just off the top of my head!

Sandy and Heidi, so I guess you guys are going to the camp grounds this weekend? Have a super time! I sure hope our weather will get better so our weekend isn't totally wet and cold.

Barb, take it easy! Ethan needs his grandma healthy!

Sally, pixie dust to Dick! I'd love to see pictures of your yard and Barb's! YOu guys must have a super green thumb!

Denine, I say go buy the metal swing set now and then later when she is older and can enjoy the wooded one more get that. We have a metal one and it does just fine for the kids. A lot of the wooded ones have lots of climbing things and at her age I don't think that she or you would want her to be doing that right now. Just my 2 cents.

Susan, glad to hear from you! I'm with you about going and babysitting on the cruise. I'd sleep on deck 9 too!!! Hey, how about you, me and Heidi get a cabin? Boy that would be fun!

Jeanne, so how is the studying going for the work test? Or did you take it already? I wish I could be at brunch with you guys at Palo's!!

My goodness Julie....talk about wearing yourself out! I think I am going to have a R&R camp here in my backyard for all you stressed out mom's. You can sit on the patio, listen to the waterfall and birds....it is so quite and peaceful that I can sit and do nothing. I'll even serve you drinks all day.....bet by the time you go home you won't be stressed anymore....a little drunk but not stressed......heehee
