October 19th Cruisers again and again... Part 2

It is Saturday and we are leaving this afternoon. I promise to have a margarita in Mexico for each and every one of you!

Fog is so dreary, you just can't see anything and feel so isolated.

Kaleigh was VERY disappointed last night when she realized she was too short to go on the Tower of Terror. We kept telling her that she wouldn't be tall enough, but I guess she still hoped. We told her she could go on the rocket ships in Tomorrowland and that it was a "Big" ride. She was happy again.

We enjoyed our margaritas last night.

Heidi: I hope you enjoyed yours!

I can't believe we are going to be in the Magic Kingdom tomorrow with a friend we haven't seen in years going on a tour and then eating lunch!

Woke up before 6:30 AM because I was too excited to sleep, so I woke Jerry up too!

Saw the ortho doctor yesterday. He is holding off on more injections for now. He siad there is more than just the piriformis muscle involved and that the other muscle is the one causing the pain now. He noted that I have one hip slightly higfher than the other most likely due to my fusion years ago. He put a "lift" in my shoe and told me to try it and see what happens. In the meantime, he gave me a prescriptiopn for Lidocaine patches to wear to help with the pain while we are walking around WDW. I go back in 4 weeks.

I won't get to talk to you guys for 2 weeks, hold down the fort. I will say hi to Mickey for everyone!

This is so cute I had to share before I sign off for 2 weeks.

Jerry was in our room when he heard Kaleigh over the monitor "we are going to Disney today". Obviously she was in her room talking to who knows.

I am back. Everything is ready to go, but we can't leave until around 3 PM. I am waiting for Jerry and Kaleigh to get back from McD. We are hungry and the cupboard is bare.

Kaleigh keeps asking if it is time to go yet. We have to keep telling her no.

It is cold outside, only in the 40's. Can't wait to get to those warm temperatures!

WHAT A PERFECT TWO DAYS!!!!!!!!

FRIDAY: Met at the Beach Grill 9 AM & then off to our friend's house in O.C. then Cape May Wicker (lots of country items), then to Cape May and we finished up outlet shopping in Atlantic City & Margaritas at Los Amigos in A.C.
SATURDAY: Breakfast again at the Beach Grill & off to the Block Party/Craft Fair. Joyce & I went on the boardwalk in O.C. before coming home. It was the most beautiful weekend weatherwise - in the 70's-80's with the sun shining.

Loved the pictures of Ethan. He really enjoyed his birthday.

DENINE: You are probably on your way to WDW but just wanted to wish you the best of times.

This week I only work Thursday & Friday since Tuesday is the Nurse of the Year luncheon and I had to take the day off. I am going to "educational" dinners both Tuesday and Wednesday night. I guess I'll START the diet next week!

Went shopping in Denver with Jaymee today. Had to come home to go to church for a bake sale so that is where I am headed right now.

Had a great day because we got tons done. We even had some of Louise's jewelry appraised. We have someone bugging us to buy stuff and don't want to just "give" it away. Got some rain.

Oh Denine, it was great reading your posts. It was so cute to read about Kaleigh talking to herself about Disney. Loved it!

I wonder where Denine is today and what she is doing. How exciting, I am living through her until Julie goes on their WDW vacation and then it will be our turn!!!!! I can't wait. I am pretty sure we are going to be able to take Chris's girls to WDW when we go which would be great for him to experience that with his DD's. They have never been on a plane or to anything Disney so he is trying to make it possible.

Had a great time celebrating cinco de mayo on friday, although I won't be able to drink another one for awhile. They put way too much sweet and sour in their margaritas and it started to get to be too much. For free food, 4 margaritas and 2 beers it cost a total of $12.00!!!! (that was shared between 3 people)

Barb - what did you get in Denver? Anything good?

I have been thinking about Denine as well. Both Denine and Graci will be there at the same time.

Had a great weekend. We had some unexpected sales for the Estate sale. Made 300.00 without trying. This coming Friday will be the real sale. It is advertised in 3 newspapers. Heidi, I forgot to tell you that the lady at the antique store bought some of the turquoise jewelry.

Jeanne, I am so happy thata everything came together nicely for your dinners at WDW! Heidi and I are going to keep the Whispering Canyon one because we probably will end up with kids there. Chris really wants his girls to experience their first WDW trip with HIM! I am excited over it as well. I can't wait to see their eyes. I can't wait for their excitement to fly. I think this will be a good trip!

Heidi, so the girls would fly home alone then? How would that work? Wouldn't they need an adult to check them in at the airport? I don't get it now that I am thinking about it.

HI guys! just wanted you to know that I just got a phone call from Denine and Jerry and they were at Alfredo's in Italy waiting for their food. they said that the weather is great. Brooke had hit her head just before they called so I told them that I would call them back.

HAPPY 7TH BIRTHDAY TO MAKENZIE!!!!!!!

Her actual birthday was yesterday but we were at glowin the dark mini golf with 10 of her friends from school. We are having the family party this saturday.

Jeanne, glad to hear things went super for you for your weekend and for your dinner plans.

Sandy, we had Anna Marie fly down by herself. They must be signed in by a parent and a parent or guardian has to pick her up. If they are 14yrs or older they can go by themselves. What happens is you must fill out a form ( I think you can get them on line or go to the airlines to get one) and you need to have who is dropping them off and who will meet them when the plane lands. The parent usually gets a gate pass and can actually walk the girls to the gate. A gate agent will take them on board the plane first before any other passager boards. Then they will be the last to exit the plane because the gate agent will come aboard the plane and pick them up. Their mother will be able to get a gate pass at the airport and be able to meet them at the gate. (at least that was the way it in Cleveland). It really went very smoothly for Anna Marie. She flew down to Orlando by herself. Her plane actually got in early, so the gate agent waited with her until Garry got to the gate. She got a pair of headsets for the movie on board for free since she was flying by herself. The crew really looked after her.

Well, gotta go for awhile. I will be back later! I'll give you guys Denine and Jerry updates when I get them.

Tomorrow it will be 4 weeks until we go to DISNEY!!!!!!

Happy Monday!

Had a very productive Sunday. I worked for 10 hours straight only breaking for some lunch. I worked on the wedding, graduation and tea party plus cleaned mowed the yard and dug up some more of my garden. Jaymee painted the bathroom. Yay my "To Do" list of going down some!

Saturday Jaymee and I went to Denver to look for work clothes for her. She ended up buying a swimming suit and a little sweather. This is the 3rd time I have gone shopping to look for "work clothes" and not found anything.

Tiffany is going shopping today for clothes did I tell you she got a job at Victoria's Secret? She has wanted to work there for years, not sure why.

Today we have scrap book club. I really want to stay home. I have to make the mints and finish up the Mother Daughter Tea stuff. It is going to cut into my time.

Mom - I am really excited for the girls to go, all we need is airfare to go down in price because $500/ticket for a child is way too much $$$. No, the girls would not fly home alone, I wouldn't even think about it especially being their first time flying. Chris's mom actually volunteered to fly with the girls and stay in Denver for a few days and then go back home. She was the one that came up with the idea for bringing the girls to WDW and then she would fly back with them. If she only volunteered to do that earlier we could have booked the plane tickets with us for $182/ticket!!!

Barb, that is great that Tiffany got the job where she has always wanted. Work clothes is so hard for the younger women like Jaymee. They are always so "old lady" like and they aren't willing to shop outside of the Juniors Dept.

Julie, sounds like Denine and Jerry are doing just fine. Yea, like we were all worried, right? I forgot that Anna Marie flew on her own a couple of years ago. I was just wondering how Chris can get them to MCO and himself to the cruise. Four weeks before you go. Man, it just isn't fair!!!

Nancy Heizer, 58, of Colorado Springs, was pronounced dead Thursday night after another guest noticed her floating motionless in a swimming pool at the Coronado Springs Resort, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

Guests, including a registered nurse from Maine, tried to resuscitate the victim. Cathryn Paolucci, the nurse, used an Automated External Defibrillator provided by Disney employees but was unable to restart the woman's heart, records show.

Heizer arrived Sunday for a weeklong stay to attend a conference of the U.S. Figure Skating Association, records show. Heizer worked for the skating association.

Other then being on the phone this morning, I have been really lazy. I did go to ShopRite, bought shoes for tomorrow (nurses luncheon) and cooked dinner but didn't do much else. We had steak, baked potatoes and corn on the cob. The corn was absolutely delicious. It wasn't silver (which is always good) but white corn. Okay I'm rambling on again..... Toodles, JEANNE

Yuck, I have a meeting from 9:00-2:00 today...plus my manager said it will be a working lunch. That sucks.

I keep thinking about Denine and where she could be right now at WDW. My guess is she is getting everybody ready to go to one of the parks right now. I wonder which parks she is going to today.

I lost all faith in the Dept of Labor, I tried to file a claim with them because I never got paid my final hours worked when I quit my job at the daycare. I tried contacting the owner several times regarding this and even sent the letters certified and then my W-2 that was sent to me and included the hours that I was not paid. Sent all this stuff to Labor and they never did a thing about it. I am pretty sure a working lunch is illegal but then I guess I can just take off 30 minutes earlier!!!!

I just found out that I got another upgrade for our cruise. Instead of a category 6 in room 5650, we are now upgraded to a category 5 room 7064. I checked my parents reservation and they have not been upgraded yet, but there is still time.

The lunch was very nice - salad, roasted potatoes, green beans & chicken marsala with fruit and a cake for dessert. Of course, my son Derek was supposed to be my guest and never showed up. He called during the luncheon to say he forgot. He is now officially on the black list.

I never even think to review my reservations. Why? I want to be next to Sandy and Ted's cabin. I don't want to get an upgrade and be at the other end of the ship.

WHERE'S DENINE? Anyone have any guesses? Is she in Magic Kingdom today, MGM or Animal Kingdom?

HEIDI: Believe me I do know how the Department of Labor works. Thank God for the Union!

My nurse manager gave me a $25.00 gift certificate. The hospital gave us some free online programs, nurses drug book and another book. It really was very nice.

Have a terrific Tuesday. I am off to another dinner tonight. Something on urology that the pediatricians are giving at the Italian Bistro. I am telling you I START MY DIET NEXT WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Toodles JEANNE
