Maybe when we all retire we can live close to one another :grouphug: I don't think I can AFFORD$$ to live in New Jersey or California after I retire. How do they treat retirees in Colorado? Do they tax your retirement? What is your real estate taxes? I think the housing cost is about the same. I know Delaware is very nice to retirees - low real estate taxes, no sales tax, etc. So how do you like my idea? :thumbsup2

Can't wait until tonight! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY! :bounce: I am 50% Irish, 25% German & 25% Austrian. I guess I am a mongrel! :lmao: :lmao: Everybodys Irish on St. Paddy's Day! :lmao:

SANDY: It sounds like you have a FULL weekend. Give the babies a kiss from me.

Off to work for the weekend. Hope you all have a great weekend. Miss you all. Can't wait until September! Forgot to tell Barb that the Dudettes are going on the 10 day Disney Cruise. Toodles  JEANNE

Good Morning & Happy Saint Patricks Day! :thumbsup2

Taking a few minutes to check in before I clean the house, work on wedding stuff and run some errands.

Have a fun time tonight Jeanne! Hummm the Dudettes going also Hummmmmmmmmm  Thinking, thinking, thinking...There must be a way I can pull this off.

My Mom is busy with her scrapbook stuff and the yard. I have hardly talked to her myself. I will tell her to check in. The weather is suppose to turn cold again here so maybe we can get her to post.

Heidi-Can't wait to hear about the haircut. I bet it will be soooo cute.

Denine-Hope your back is feeling better.

Sandy-If you turn off your computer who will keep our board alive??? Don't do it Sandy!!!!....Remember the children!!.... Turn around and back away from the off button on the computer....slowly.....slowly......We need you.....You have so much to "post" for......Please reconsider.....

Have a full day planned today so I guess I had better get busy.

Poor Julie. I hope your dad is doing much better. He is in my prayers.

I was on the computer all evening yesterday doing research on home schooling. Very interesting stuff.

They said we were to get 1-3" of the white stuff overninght. Not only did we NOT get it, it has been sunny all day. I can take this.

Hope everyone is enjoying their St. Patrick's Day. We had a good meal of corned beef and potatoes. Kaleigh still likes corned beef! I also had some Irish breakfast tea with Irish cream creamer. I will have some Bailey's tonight. I am part Irish, but orange. My family comes from County Down Ireland, but that was a looong time ago.

I made it through work pretty well with my back today, the best in a long while. I hope it keeps getting better.

Until later!

Hi all.

Hope Julie's dad is doing OK.. I left a message for her yesterday, but I haven't heard anything.

Getting ready to leave for our friends house. It will be a late night. Birthday party tomorrow.

Ordered nephew's 1st Communion gifts on-line. No time to go shopping in another city for a gift. I got a prayer book and a crucifix. We are his godparents.

I probably won't be on tomorrow.

I guess I am talking to myself this weekend.

We had fun last night, got home at 3 and in bed by 3:30 AM. Kaleigh was singing to the Disney CD all the way home. She did a Disney mommy proud.! :thumbsup2

The sun was coming in the room too bright, so I am up while everyone else is still sleeping.

We have the birthday party at 4PM. Hopefully Kaleigh will be able to play with the kids today. Kurt and Rachel just sat like lumps last night and Kaleigh was disappointed they didn't play. She always wants to play and no one will play with her.

Hope you all are having a nice weekend.

Hi everyone. Just popping in to say hi and thanks for all the prayers and pixie dust for my dad. He was taken by squad thursday morning because my mom could not get him out of bed and he was barely concious. After he was taken to the hospital, they ran all kinds of tests and what not on him. They admitted him. That night, my mom called around 5:30ish saying the nurses and dr asked her to leave the room because they could wake my dad up. Garry and I went up there and by the time we got there, they had given him some meds and he was "awake" and we could go back in and see him. We did and we couldn't get him to wake up. They ordered a catscan and I finally got him to keep his eyes open. When he came back from the scan, he was more awake and FINALLY had something to eat. His foot that was causing all sorts of problems in Jan. had a "med vac" (for all you nurses out there) to try and heal the wound, had a blister on it that wasn't there on tues. They have found that he has an infection that has "found" this area and is thriving. Today they moved him into a private room because of the culture of the infection has been labeled "infectious disease". The infection has entered his blood system and is now throughout his body. He is on several anti.drips to try and fight it. But right now, that's all we know. OK, all you nurses out there..... doesn't sound good does it? I can't do much, but sit and wait and see. He told me the other day when someone told him that it will get better he said " I don't think it will". So, he isn't in a real good frame of mind right now to fight anything. They did finally give him some pain meds today.

Well, gotta go. I have to get dinner ready for the kids and Garry. Be back???????

On top of all of this, I'm suppose to work the Book fair at Makenzie's school all day Mon. and Wed and work Kindergarten registration wed too? And have Brooke and Garry with me......... YEAH right! I wish you guys did live closer so Garry and Brooke could visit with their aunties!

Julie - :grouphug: Hang in there, I thought about you all weekend long. I hope things turn for the better for all of you.

Hi guys. Long, busy weekend. It was supose to snow 10-12 inches here last night, but we got maybe 2 inches and continueing on through today!!!!

I didn't chicken out and I did get my haircut on Friday. It is amazing how much lighter my head feels!!!!! My hair dresser said I kept saying that my hair grows back fast. She wasn't sure who I was trying to convince more, her or myself!!! It looks good, whenever I get my digital camera charged I will take a picture of me with my new bedroom furniture so you can see all!!!!

My best friend made an Irish dinner for me, her mom, and her husband on Friday. It was very good, I have never had corned beef and cabbage until then. We all played games, had a great night and had many many laughs. We also had Bailey's and coffee. A lot more fun this way then battling the crowds at the bars.

Saturday we went to a M.O.M.S. (Mother Of Multiples Sale) down in Castle Rock. It was fun, it is like a big garage sale that fills an event center and only baby and little kids items!!! We bought a lot for the twins. Too bad we had to wait 2 hours to pay for the loads of stuff we had....but it is such a good deal!!!!!! Then we had to come home and help my uncle, aunt and cousins move.

Sunday started out good but ended sour. I got a call from my best friend saying that her husband asked her for a divorce. Not only did her husband convince her to quit her job on Friday, but has now asked her for a divorce. They have a 2 year old and have been married for 8 years. I just don't know what to do for her. She is in shock and I don't think it has really hit her yet. I am so worried about her because she is 5'6" and weighs under 100 lbs. This is only going to make her weight problem worse. She does not have an eating disorder, she just can't gain weight since she moved to Florida and got really sick there. The doctors have tried everything to get her to gain weight. Any ideas what I can do for her, besides just being there for her? Can I do anything else for her or get her something to help her out?

I left a message for Julie this morning to call me.

Julie: :grouphug:

Heidi: Your poor friend :guilty: Just be there for her.

Kaleigh had a really good time at the birthday party yesterday. SHe played non-stop for hours!

Nothing else going on here really.

Hello everyone,

First of all, hugs to you Julie. I thought of you all weekend long. I was going to call you but selfishly got caught up with our busy weekend. I pray that your dad is improving by the hours!

Heidi, poor, poor Taura. I just can't believe everything that poor girl goes through. Hopefully he will realize what he is doing and come around again. Maybe it was just a "moment" and he didn't really think it through.

Barb, gosh, you made me feel guilty that I turned off the computer. It was hard but I did have to do it. lol

Jeanne, I have a litte fingernail worth of Irish in me, otherwise I am 49 1/2% Swedish and the other 49 1/2% is Norwegian. I like your idea of everyone retiring in the same area but can't answer your questions about CO. I know lots of people here claim to be residents of AZ, TX or SD in order to avoid property tax. AZ and TX are way to hot for me. SD is well, SD, my birth state.

Better run. I had 38 emails to contend with. On top of that, laundry, bank statements, wrap Graci's bday presents, vacumn and whatever else I forgot. Oh yea, SHOVEL.

A good cold snowy morning to everyone....we are having some bad weather....I heard the schools are closed. Dick went to work anyway....he called and said he got there and it wasn't too bad.

pixiedust: to Julie and everyone that needs it.....

I went to a scrapbook crop Saturday night 6-1 and we came home and stayed up until 2:30 and watched tv. Woke up at 5:30 and couldn't go back to sleep so got up and last night I went to bed a little after 8 and slept until 6 this morning...you would think I would be ready to do something today but it is cold so have just been playing on the computer :surfweb:

I am going to an all night crop the 31st so decided to start a 9/11 album....I have had the stuff for it for quite awhile but never got around to doing it.

I got a notice last week my roses were sent and they haven't gotten here yet...watch they will come today when I can't plant them....

Well, hello Sally. Long time no write!! The weather is kind of icky! I just got done shoveling and now the snow is melting as it hits the sidewalk and driveway. Yippee!!

Hi all. Just popping in to say hi. I've been extremely busy with everything lately. Didn't make it up to the hospital today. I had both kids to go to school, book fair, then had to get both kids from school, with Brooke in toe the whole day. Garry for just half. My dad's situation isn't good at all. The infection is in the blood and they are doing cultures on his blood (and on everything else), but nothing can be done until the infection is gone. The dr's told my mom today that he WILL lose the foot and depending on the blood infection, possibly his leg. They ordered another EKG tonight. I'm thinking he's going into congestive heart failure (if that is what they call it). He is breathing very shallow and has to take a breathe between each word. It's rough. But what will be will be. I'm trying to be the strong one and not get upset. It's in God's hands. I'm trying to stay busy.

Denine, I did get your messages. I will call you back, I promise.

Sandy, I got your card today, THANK YOU!!! It made me smile!

I'm working kindergarten registration Wed. morning. I hadn't planned on it,but Makenzie's principal asked if I could help, and if I want Garry to go to kindergarten there next year, I've got to be helpful. I guess. ANd then they want me to help with the book fair in the afternoon.

Big Garry and I have the old cheif's retirement party on Sat. What a way to spend our 11th anniversary. Oh well!

Well, gonna run. I have to try and get some housework done.

Yay Julie posted again. :cool1:

Julie - You can't always be the strong one, you have to make sure you make time for yourself. And it is okay to say no!!!!! Maybe you can explain to the school the situation you are going through and then they will stop asking you to volunteer for everything for awhile....you need a break before you go crazy!!! If you went crazy, we sure would miss you alot. :grouphug:

Julie, don't be afraid to show emotion. It's ok! Being strong is great but not always the best for you. I do however think keeping busy is ok too because it keeps your mind off of things. You know when I always break???? It is in the shower. If I need a good cry I know I can do it there. Funny, huh?

Good morning Heidi. How was the drive in today? Graci and I will be at Stacey's this afternoon babysitting the babies. Graci can't wait. Stacey is going in to see Heather. For all of you, Heather is Graci's mom, our dental hygenist.

Julie: I will be waiting for your phone call.

All you CO people can keep your snow. We have a few flurries today.

I am cutting back on the new meds the doctor gave me for nerve pain. They just make my head to goofy. I can't stand it. I traded one problem for another. I didn't take one this morning and my head is still goofy from last nights pill.

Went to Michael's last night. I spent $75 on craft and art supplies. This morning Kaleigh and I glued pom poms and buttons and stuck on Noah's Ark foamies. All together, we did this for about an hour. I was impressed. She really had fun. I bought glitter glue sticks, shimmering paint sticks, puff paint, wood pieces, glue, construction paper, scissors, ribbon, little "jewels" and I can't remember what else.

We got a new printer. The old one wouldn't print in black anymore. We borrowed a printer from a friend, but that one wouldn't print in color. Then, when Jerry was cleaning out the office, he found that we had purchased an extra warrenty on the printer (we never do that) and low and behold, we were eligible for a new printer. It came yesterday, yippee!!!!

Sorry Denine......the sun is shinning :sunny: and it is 22 out but no snow so maybe it is coming your way. $75 at Michaels....you sound like me only mine is scrapbooking supplies....I have to go to use the 40% off coupon you know....I save money, no that isn't right, if I stayed home I would save a lot of money.

The roses didn't come yesterday....they have been on the way from Ohio for a week now.

Have to clean the living room and kitchen so better get started.....wish I could wave a wand :wizard: and it would be done.

I went there this last Friday, only I spent $120. My grandma use to pain and when my grandpa passed away and we were cleaning out the house I ran across a few of her paintings. I am getting the one I found with her signature on it framed to hang up in my house.

Denine - that was a lucky day for you finding the warranty on the printer. I guess warranty's do come in handy some of the times~~~

Well I broke down and finally bought a Dyson vacuum yesterday. I can't wait to have a clean house once again....hopefully less dog hair!!! It should come in 3-5 days.

I am so ecstatic and I can't hold in my excitement anymore, I am never going to get any work done for the rest of the day.

I GOT UPGRADED from a Category 9 to a Category 6 on the September cruise!!!! I have never had a verandah before on any of my cruises and I get one for 10 days!!!! I am going to be so spoiled!!!!! We were in room 2002 and we are now is 5650. Anyone hear anything about room 5650? I tried to do a search but nothing has come up. I did read that the verandah is bigger because it is the last stateroom (aft) on the starboard side and because of the curvature of the ship it gives you a little more room!!!! :cool1: :Pinkbounc

Sending good thought and pixie dust to my mom, hoping that she got an upgrade too!!!! :wizard: pixiedust:

I wonder if the Dudettes got an upgrade too? Jeanne, did you notice a new room number?
