October 19th Cruisers again and again... Part 2

Good Morning Everyone!

Wow didn't check the board yesterday afternoon and was surprised to see the challenges that are affecting so many of our little Disney family. Good thing we have one another for support. Hope our board NEVER dies.

I was talking to one of my daughters last night about all the deaths I have faced this past year. Didn't seem like they were so common before. I guess it must have a lot to do with my age group. I have a couple of friends I have kept contact with since my school years that are facing challenging things. When you're young it seems none of your friends parents or family dies.

Today is Jason (my son) last day in the Airforce. He has been in for 6 years. He wrote and told me he is not as excited as he thought. I sent him an email this morning letting him know how very proud I am of him for being so responsible with his adult life and I am looking forward to having him home for the next 2 months before he begins another chapter in his life.

My Mom keeps reminding me I have a rose bush coming. My Brother and Sister in Law bought us a rose bush called "Disneyland" that is suppose to arrive any day. I am soooo excited to have a "Disneyland" rose bush in my yard although I will be the only one that know it is called "Disneyland" but my yard is no where near ready for it. It is still freezing out!

The prices are out for the Mediterranean Cruise next summer. I have been watching it. I REALLY want to go on it but not sure if we can swing it. I am also debating on the Sept cruise or one this Oct. But if we go in Sept Tiffany will not be able to go. But I would love to cruise with everyone again.

Barb, my TA will get us a quote for a 10 day Med cruise but doubt that we will take it. It is more about the airfare than the cruise cost!! I also don't feel comfortable "over there" with the way the countries feel about America. Maybe I can talk Ted into going to Alaska on one of the Princess cruise ships.

Denine, I did read that it was not a cruiseline sponsored excursion. I just meant an excursion in general makes me a little leary with the condition of vehicles in some of those countries. Sorry that Kaleigh isn't up to par! We have two different investigations under way also about sexual assaults. One is Noah's and the other is by one guy but two different daycare facilities. It is so scary in today's world. I do believe it happened way back when but was never in the news.

I think the ship sponsered excursions are safer. I don't think they would allow passengers on an unsafe vehicle, but this was more about a van that last control. Scary!

Barb: Julie and I are going this October. Congrats to Jason on his completion of service.

We are not even considering the med cruise. It just isn't practical with a child Kaleigh's age. When we go on a cruise like that, she will be interested in sightseeing also. Maybe as part of her homeschool education!

Cool! A rose named Disneyland! I want one!

Of course, the crocus won't even bloom because it is too cold.

Denine-when are you going in October? If the Med cruise is too expensive I am looking at Oct 14. I would rather be on a 10 day cruise but since Tiffany will not be able to go I don't want to leave her behind.

Got most of the paperwork in for Tiffany's college we have not sent in the medical stuff. I call her Dr today and found she needs a physical. I know she is a little old for a pediatrician but she has been seeing the same doctor since she was born. She has an appointment today at 3:45. Can't wait to get the paperwork done!

Barb, I had rheumatic fever as a toddler so I kept seeing my pediatrician in my teens as well. I hated going there for my college exam but I survived!!

Heehee. Tiffany has not said to much about going to him but I know she will feel like a fish out of water sitting in the waiting room with all the babies. He is a nice man and has all her medical records. If she complains I am going to tune her out. In other words like I do most every day!

Missy and Tiffany were arguing last night over computer time. Both told me almost word for word that the other one would not share. I started laughing You're on your own girls. I am not going to get involved but if I need the computer you WILL be getting off!

Great pics Stacey but oh-oh on the glitter thingy. I am jealous that you can do the pictures. I still don't know how. I know Miss Heidi can figure out the glitter mess. Hey Stacey, you OWE me big time and I mean BIG time!! Let me just say that Jason (my nephew) called last night.

Dick was telling me he read that there was a fire on a cruise ship and one person died and 70 cabins suffered damage. The fire started in a cabin so no doubt someone was doing something they shouldn't have

It is so nice out...we went out to lunch and I didn't even wear my coat..just a sweatshirt. It is suppose to be in the 50's all week.....

I just heard about that myself. I was wondering if someone was smoking and fell asleep. Maybe a candle? Or maybe cruise ship related, however, I doubt that! How is Dick feeling?

Heidi-Why are you at work it is Friday?

Went for a massage this morning then out to lunch with Jaymee. Missy called me on my way home to tell me Ethan is walking. I rushed home and he had already decided he was tired so I missed it. I am giving him a 30 minute break then standing him on his little feet and making him walk!

Wow, is it ever quiet here today. I had my niece over again. We were busy painting Estate sale signs and playing rummicube.

Not much new here.

I called Julie yesterday and left a message. Haven't heard back. Hope no news is good.

Have to run. Going to Armadillos tonight.

Just a quick post.

Barb: Yes, we are going on the 10-14 cruise. It is a Western with 2 stops at CC. Yeah Ethan!

Haven't heard from Julie.

The doctor wants me to have an injection in the muscle in my back/butt that is causing all the problems. Doesn't sound like fun, but if it works.

Getting ready to paint in here tomorrow. Don't expect to hear from me tomorrow.

Ted and I were bad tonight. Very bad!! We went to Armadillos for dinner and well um, ended up walking off dinner at a car lot and um, well, we bought a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder. Poor Ted really needed a new car. He was driving a 1992 Nissan Sentra without air conditioning so it was time. We save the Bad Boy pretty much for pulling the trailer. Now, don't you think it is time for me to get a new car? Maybe in another life. lol No actually, I am VERY happy he got one!!

If you are like me Sandy, it makes you happy just to make your husband happy with something new he really likes. I got him a laptop and he loved it so this year I got him a newer one for Christmas. He gave his old one to our son so it wasn't wasted.

Well, I finally did it.....painted the 3 doors in our bedroom...have been putting it off ever since we painted last year. Then I tore Dick's bathroom apart and only thing left to do is shampoo the carpet then on to the bedroom and there I mostly need to shampoo and clean out the drawers. I have a really big bookcase my son build for me and I went through all the books not too long ago.

Don't know why I had so much energy today as I woke up at 3:30 and got up and played on the computer until 5:30...went back to bed and cat napped until about 8. It was so nice out today but I decided I really need to get all my spring cleaning done before I do my yard work. It is suppose to be nice for a few days and then more snow....

It is midnight so better get to bed so I can wake up at 3:30 or 4.....

Sandy: talk about a spur of the moment decision! Hope you enjoy the new car even though it is not American Sorry, I had to put in the dig.

Kaleigh just doesn't feel well today. I feel bad for her, but we have to get the painting done. We were going to have Jerry's mom come over and watch her, but she is sick too.

The new color does look nice. It will really warm up the office.
