Joyce and I went over to say good-bye  to Carmen our Mexican friend who now lives in Argentina (her husband is Argentinian). Her son and daughter both live in N.J. Her son lives very close but her daughter lives closer to N.Y. It was very sad saying good-bye  but she really wants us to come to Argentina!

SANDY: I can't believe you talked to Faith! You couldn't talk her into the ten day cruise? I will send get well pixie dust pixiedust: to Faith & Kristy.

Been busy with my Mom & the doggies. I have been making my mother come to the table for her meals. She doesn't like it but she has been doing it. Next getting her to SHOWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow I am off to the doctor to get my lab results. They always have something to say :headache:

DENINE: Get well pixie dust coming your way too pixiedust:

Miss you all :grouphug: Where is that darn Bonnie? Have a great week. I hope it warms up for you guys :sunny: Toodles  JEANNE

My doctor appointment went pretty much as expected. There is no fracture, but they couldn't visualize my entire spine. So, I go tomorrow for an MRI with contrast. He is confidnet this will show then what they want to know and go from there. He did give me antibiotics for the bronchitis ( I scared Kaleigh yesterday coughing) and Vicodin for the pain. I only took a 1/2 this morning since I have never had it and didn't know what to expect. It seems to be taking the edge off, but I am now a bit dizzy as well. I hope that doesn't get any worse.

So, I have a team in a race I know nothing about. I don't even know when it is on.

Jeanne: You're doing a good job. Sometimes you have to force people to do things they don't want to for their own good.

When we were waiting at Target last night for my drugs, we founnd those painitng books that you only use water on. We had those as kids and loved them, so we got a couple for Kaleigh. She really likes them so far.

It is sunny ,but cold, as usualy, not like Colorado.

Barb: I would love to be one of those girls. You alsways do such fun things with them. Can I have a spa night?

Sandy: No, nothing can ever be easy!

We are being forced to give up wine for Lent. Can you seem me drinking wine and taking Vicodin? :rotfl2: I can't even type this morning as it is. We have been saying we need to cut down anyway because it is getting too expensive. So this is a good excuse.

I am scheduled to work on Friday, but can't go in on drugs. I don't kow what I am going to do yet. I really need to save my call-offs in case I need to have surgery.

I didn't watch much of AI last night....too busy running around the house, but I did watch Amazing Race. I loved that AR started in Denver and it was so much fun knowing where they were at all times. When the couple stopped at the gas station I knew they were at the gas station at colfax and I-70...pretty close to wear I work. There is a mall over there that I and eat lunch at sometimes with coworkers. Then I saw another team pass by Lakeside (an amusement park here). My dad and I drive by Red Rocks, on that same road everytime we go skiing!!!! I loved it!!! Red Rocks is such a fun place to go to concerts at. It is about 10-15 minutes away from my parents house. My best friend was actually married at Red Rocks and Stacey got married pretty close to Red Rocks.

I want to trade my team (j/K) Of course I got the weirdest team in the race, I get the Hippies from San Fransisco....definitely gave me a good laugh last night!!!!

Good Morning

Missed most of the amazing race last night, dang! The girls wanted to go out to dinner. I told them I could not be out late but did they listen NOOOOOOO
we didn't even get to the resturant until 7:30. After we got home I got to watch about 45 minutes but I was so tired I decide to watch it in bed and of course I fell asleep right after the 2nd team crossed the finish line. Who got eliminated??

I just read the Amazing Race site. I kind of liked the guys that got eliminated. Thought they were a kick. The older ladies that scream all the time are already getting on my last nerve! Time for them to go!

Don't have a lot of faith in "My team" Think they will be one of the first to go! Can I trade them in? :teeth:

Got Bob's address. I need to get some goodie boxes together to send him. My Grandma always made Easter Basket rice krispie treats, I can remember getting them in the mail every year and thinking it was the best thing ever. They were pretty hard by the time we got them but it sure was fun getting them. My brother has kept up the tradition and makes them every year. I am starting a new tradition this year and making them with the girls. Oooossss better get it scheduled on my day planner!

The dizziness is only on and off now, so maybe I can type better, or at least go back and correct my errors. :rotfl:

Barb: When do you sleep?

I would love to go out to dinner. Maybe now that I have some proper pain medicine I could actually sit in a hard chair for a while.

SO, out of curiosity, what is my team like?

Went to the doctor's just to review bloodwork and met a new (old) doctor. He was very nice. He said he had his own practice but retired a few years ago and now works part-time in the larger practice that I go to - Sicklerville Internal Medicine. He reviewed all the bloodwork & gave me an Rx to have my thyroid x-rayed again since it has been five years.

I really can't wait to get back to work. Being home with my mother for three days is TOO MUCH!!!!! :crazy2:

DENINE: The MRI will show EVERYTHING!

I feel left out since I don't watch the Amazing Race but I did like the older couple. How exciting that they started in Colorado! It is one of the reasons I like Cold Case since some of the scenes are in Philadelphia.

Well off to work tomorrow. Hooray! :cheer2: The weather is supposed to be really nasty tomorrow morning - rain, sleet, snow showers. Today it is beautiful :sunny: Miss you all. Can't wait until vacation. :grouphug: Toodles  JEANNE

Jeanne: Are you hypo or hyper? My friend is hypo. Her mom just had a nodule removed from her thyroid and has so much energy now. Go enjoy the weather before it gets bad.

No nap for me today and lying down really helps my back. My little angel fell asleep on the couch before 12 PM. She slept for over an hour, woke up, and wanted lunch becuase I never gave it to her!

So, I have been playing on the computer trying to do research and diagnose myself. I can't stand waiting. And yes, from what I have read, the MRI will show everything. I forgot to mention that I also have several small bone spurs on my spine as well. A sign of arthirits already. I expected it, but not so soon.

Have to go grocery shopping tonight.

:sunny: Another beautiful day here in Denver. :sunny:

Amazing Race was good last night. It was so much fun seeing all the different weirdos. :rotfl: Every team is so different than what they had before. I was talking to Sally earlier about teams. Heidi's team is hippies. I can't tell you how much we laughed about WHAT team she got. Then my team can't read :thumbsup2 everything so they booked their flight on the phone. Sally's team is well, um, nerdy. Then there is Barb's team that walked a zillion times past the clue box. Screaming ladies, gosh what else? Denine, I will have to go back and see who you got. It definitely was fun seeing Denver. Red Rocks is at the base of the mtns. If you would go up I70 the opposite direction of the way they went to the airport you would have seen the beauty of CO!! Ted's dad's house is about 10-15 minutes away IN the foothills.

Denine, no-no. You shouldn't self diagnose!! When I was 30 I was diagnosed with arthritis in my neck. It looks like good old arthur visits people a lot younger than he used to. I was numb and tingly. Couldn't even hold my friends newborn child. (Stacey and Heidi--Carol Burch). Hang in there for the MRI.

Jeanne, sorry you had to say goodbye to your friend. As you know I  don't do that well. It would be fun to go to Argentina and have a personal guide!

Barb, I have been wanting to start a tradition with the Stacey's babies. Just haven't come up with one yet. I love your story about the rice krispies. At Christmas time my great grandma used to make up individual bags of goodies. It would have nuts, the best homemade popcorn balls, ribbon candy, fruit and those chewy orange slice candy. Everyone would get them from the young and old. We all looked forward to it.

Heidi, I am so glad that you came over last night. I don't think I would have laughed at your team as much as I did. :lmao:

You know what guys? I am VERY concerned over Susan. I mean VERY! No Christmas cards, no postings, no responding to emails or cards. What can we do to check on her? It is so not like her. The last time I talked to her on the phone she promised NOT to abandon us. With her health the way it was the last time we heard from her, it makes me nervous. I hate to call her and be a pest! I have been thinking about this for a very long time. I sent her a thinking of you card about a month ago.

Better run. I wish we could get Bonnie back again. I will try and work on her a little more. Jeanne, see what you can do!

Denine-Your team is ummmmmmmmm TWO ANNOYING WOMEN THAT SCREAM ALL THE TIME!!!

Denine- Sorry about your back. Sounds so painful. Wish I could help. You sure have had one thing after another! Hope the doctor can help you

How funny. Denine has the screaming women. Heidi and I couldn't believe that Anna Marie's team was eliminated first AGAIN. Poor thing. It always seems to happen to Anna Marie!!

Just wanted to share a yummy recipe that I tried a couple of days ago. It was fast and easy. Plus it is the season for asparagus!
Asparagus Beef Lo Mein

1 boneless beef sirloin steak about 1 pound, thinly sliced
1/4 teas. Minced garlic
2 T. olive oil
1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-1/2 pieces
2-1/4 cups water, divided
2 pkgs. (3 oz) beef ramen noodles
2/3 cup hoisin sauce

In a large skillet or wok, stir fry beef and garlic in oil for 5 minutes or until meat is no longer pink. Add the asparagus, stir fry for 2 minutes or until crisp-tender.

In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup water and ½ t seasoning from one ramen noodle seasoning packet, stir until dissolved. Add hoisin sauce, stir into the beef mixture. Bring to a a boil, cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. (Discard remaining seasoning from opened packet)

In a large saucepan, bring the remaining water to a boil. Add ramen noodles and contents of remaining seasoning packet. Cook for 3 minutes. Remove from the heat, cover and let stand until noodles are tender. Serve beef mixture over noodles. Yield: 4 servings.

Hey guys! Just a quick note, I did call and leave a message on Susan's answering machine. Just said that I was missing news about our Great Hockey player and wanted to let them all know that we are thinking about them. IF I get a response, I will let you know.

I will be back on later to give you all an update on the Lauter's!

TTFN

Heidi, I hope you are feeling better. Sorry you were so sick tonight.

Julie, I pray that you hear from Susan!

Good morning. Just checking to see if Heidi posted yet or not. I was wondering if she made it to work today. She had a horrible migraine last night which led to vominting. It is too early to call her yet.

I didn't realize that Ace from AI is from Denver. We are proud to have a cutie from here. I know that Lisa also auditioned here. I don't know if she is actually from around here though. The cowboy auditioned here but was from Wyoming.

Hugs to all.
