Jeanne: The paper yesterday said Dick Clark was co-hosting this year.

Sandy: Fly out anytime! I have a guest bed you can sleep in!

Julie: We won't be making it tomorrow. The weather is supposed to be yucky tonight, so John & Judy are spending the night. We will be there in spirit!

I have finished my long haul of working. 8 days in November and 9 days in December. I only have 5 for January and they keep asking me to work more. I am keeping it at 5!

I am all ready for John and Judy to come over in 35 minutes, if they aren't late. That is how I found time to post! Except for last minute stuff, the food is ready. I made Emeril's baked beans, boneless ribs in the crockpot, cole slaw, canned biscuits (no time to make my own), chocolate cheesecake, appetizers (purchased) and snacks. No one will have room after eating! Tomorrow is a pork roast with saurkraut and spaetzle, yummy! We also have our Banfi Rosa Regale to toast the New Year with.

Just wanted to wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a nice time last night. Our friends left at 11 AM this morning after we had had breakfast and talked a while.

Getting ready to eat our New Year's dinner. I need to go prepare the spaetzle.

Julie: How was Garry's ceremony?

Thought of Barb and Sally when we watched TV last night and they showed WDW and DL.

Hi Denine, how are you? Just fine thank you.

Lets see, today we watched the Rose Parade. Loved the Disney float. It felt more like New Years today. Jerry worked from home, so he could watch the parade. We watched some of the Muppet Show DVD we bought on the cruise. Did I mention we bought a vcr/dvd combo player last week? We put it in the basement.

Tomorrow I have an eye appointment.

Kaleigh has actually said she is worn out.

Jerry's dad is worse than he was at Christmas. I hope that now that all the holidays and important days are over, he just lets go.

Happy New Year from Disney World!!!!!!!!

We are having a wonderful time but boy am I worn out! Spent New Years Eve in Magic Kingdom. Have to tell you a funny story, we were in line for the rockin roller coaster today when this group was escorted in. Missy happend to notice that the guy was the lead singer from Smash Mouth. I was and still am clueless. Never heard of them but Missy knew who he was. After we got off the ride Missy rushed over and bought his picture. Better run taking Ethan swimming for his first time.

Hi Denine, sorry you had to talk to yourself...I know that sucks. Sounds like you had a great New Years Eve and that you were safe!!!! I had a safe New Years Eve and was prepared to spend the night at my friends house if the drinking got out of control....but we didn't drink hardly at all, we were having too much fun playing games!!

Barb - How is the WDW? I was so suprised to see you post, very glad that you did. That is so cool that Missy saw Smashmouth and got his picture.....did she get an autograph? How was Ethan's swimming adventure? How is the weather out there?

My mom and dad have been very busy bouncing between my grandpa's house and Lou's house. They have spent the night at both houses so that is why my mom has not posted, she hasn't even been home...literally, not even sleeping there!!! Hopefully she will be on today.

Julie - how did Gary's swearing in go?

Good Morning Heidi. Cristina will be with Graci and I today. Might be a handful!!

Yes, Heidi was right. We spent the whole weekend at the other two houses. Didn't even sleep here. It was a good decision because we got a lot done. Louise was a tax preparer so we are shredding, shredding and more shredding all the taxes she prepared plus anything personal of hers. Still have a lot more shredding to do. Man, I tell you. People want to buy things and we would like to keep things for the 4 months so we can sleep, eat, and just plain SIT!!

Had my performance evaluation...my boss says I am great and that I am definitely made for HR and that in a few years she believes I will be the Chief of class and staff. She said that for being thrown into a specialist position and picking up everything so quickly without training that I will have a great career in HR. Woohoo 10 points for me!!!

Sandy: It sounds like you were very busy.

Barb: How did Ethan like the water? Never heard of Smashmouth.

2006 isn't starting out so great. I had my eye appointment yesterday. I was excited to get new glasses. Well, he discovered that the pressure in my eyes is elevated above normal. I have to go back in 6 months to have some test done to look at my optic nerve. I will admit that this terrifies me. From what Jerry and I can tell, it is probably due to the Advair I take for my asthma, but I need to take it so I can breathe and not get bronchitic all the time like I used to.

Also, Jerry talked to his mom this morning. His dad hasn't eaten much in days and is in so much pain that she hasn't been able to change him since New Year's. Jerry's brother trried to help, but his dad can't stand and just yells. Jerry's mom is becoming more receptive to hospice, but his dad refuses. I told her to give him the morphine about 1/2 hour before she wants to do anything with him and see what happens. I know it makes him hallucinate, but he can't sit in dirty clothes either. She was supposed to call the only doctor that may be able to help. Who know when the visiting physicians will get around to visiting.

I did go order my new glasses last night. I won't get them for a couple of weeks though.

Heidi: We bought our Royal vacuum for about $200 14 years ago. I would check out a vacuum store. Also, check out Wilsonart flooring, it is a better quality than Pergo. They aren't as good as when they first came out, their QA has slipped. Now, this may have changed in the few years since we put in laminate flooring.

Denine, what can I say? I feel so bad for you and Jerry. I know how hard it is to see your FIL slipping away. I know for a fact when food is no longer an issue that it is your bodies way of shutting down. I have been through that a few times. As a nurse, I know you have too. I just wish everyone the best. Your MIL has to be so upset with knowing what is about to happen and actually putting up with the yelling, too. She is an angel! Sorry to hear about your eyes. Sending pixie dust. I think most people are a little hesitant when it comes to eyes. Don't feel bad.

Just curious as to who has SENT and RECEIVED Christmas gifts. I am about to tell my recipient to open hers. It just isn't fair to ask her to wait any longer. For the record, I SENT my gift and have NOT received mine. I believe Heidi is the same as me.
