Denine, please send me a picture of Kaleigh in her costume.

Just talked to my Mom's boyfirend-common law husband. He was sooo sweet and said I could change anything. Not going to but feel so much better that he asked.

Heidi-Please don't be sad. I will miss you on the board. You add so much to this board what would we ever do without you!
 Thanks Barb.

Julie - still waiting to hear your news.

Good Morning everyone!

How did Halloween go? We had a medium amount of Trick or Treaters. I just don't think kids go out as much as they use to. Boy I remember my Halloweens. We covered miles!

We are going to Oklahoma this week for college weekend for Tiffany. I am ready to stop traveling unless it is to Disney!

Denine- I want to hear all the details about Kaleigh's Halloween. How cute she must have been. Send pictures!!

Sandy-Heidi- Still thinking about you guys.

Sandy: Glad he said you could change anything. I am sure that made you feel better.

Kaleigh loved every moment of TOT. Jerry said she was so proud to be Princess Aurora. It was a perfect night for TOT. She had on a t-shirt then pink turtleneck then her costume and winter weight white tights and her shiny black mary janes. I then put a little white sweater around her shoulders. She carried a pink bucket and wore my Princess Aurora tiara. She was adorable! I need to get the pictures developed. Jerry said that after a few houses, she wanted to go to the door by herself! Imagine, at 3 years old! She carried on conversations with several people handing out candy and met several animals. SHe was very sweet and polite, letting other kids pass as she waited. She was out the whole 1-1/2 hours. She was worn out!

Now, I need to keep her candy consumption under control!

Barb: Always on the go!

It is official, we are not going to WDW in February, but we are adding 3 days onto the beginning of our May trip.

Happy November!

Good morning everyone. Having a sad day but am surviving. Heidi is coming over for dinner tonight and I look forward to that.

Sandy: I wish we could all give you guys a big hug!

The 3 days are added to our May trip.

We went up to the mall after dinner. I wanted to get Kaleigh her costume for next year before they ran out of her size. They weren't exactly 50% off, but affordable none the less. Kaleigh wanted to be Belle. If the costumes go cheaper, I may get her a 2nd one. We'll see.

Looking at a toddler bed that is Disney Princesses. It is only $39 at walmart.com. Kaleigh is ready to move out of her crib, but I don't think she is ready for a twin yet. NOt to mention, this is way cheaper since it uses her crib mattress. I can get a 4 piece bedding set for $36. The problem is the headboard and foot board are plastic. I tell myself it is no big deal, she will only be in it 2-3 years. Ijust don't like the look of plastic. Any opinions?

Going to Jerry's parents tomorrow night. Yesterday was his mom's birthday.

I work Thursdays and Fridays this month, except for Thanksgiving. But, I work the MOnday after Thanksgiving.

Denine - I say if it gets her out of her crib, buy it!!!! $39 is not much and even after a year you can get rid of it without a loss. But on the other hand if it was me, I would buy the bed that I want and have her grow into it (just because furniture shopping is not my favorite thing to do). If the bed is a little big for her, you can always get those bed rails for her.

Hi All! Just popping in to check in on everyone.

Sandy, big hug for you!!! AND another big hug!!!! Thinking of you!!!!!!!

Denine, I would look at the money situation first and for most. IF you can swing the twin bed now, I say go for the twin now and you can get those folding bed rails at walmart, sears, babies r us, etc. Those plastic toddler beds really aren't that bad. She might like the toddler bed a little better then a big bed. It is ONLY $39. It's not like it's going to be her bed forever. If she might get up in the middle of the night to play, I would go for the toddler bed so it is easier for her to get in and out of bed.

Barb, nice to see you posting again!!

Heidi, we are selling girl scout cookies so if you want some... let me know! OH yeah!!! I need your home address for the chirstmas exchange. The people who have you need to get it so you get your present. Just pm me or email me with it so I can pass it on.

UPDATE on the Lauter's....
The kids LOVED Trick or Treating. Brooke was hysterical! She would walk up to the door, put her pumpkin on the pouch, stick her hand out for the candy, and then she would put it in her pumpkin. Then she would wave and say BYE! Tanks! and turn and walk down the steps and on to the next house. She did great for a good hour and 15 mins. Then we went over to my mom's and she and the Big Guy stayed and Makenzie and daddy and I finished the "candy run".

Took Makenzie's bunk beds down and took the crib down. Now Makenzie and Brooke have their big girl beds now. Brooke LOVES her bed. Last night was the first night she slept in it. She looked so cute! WHen I went to get Makenzie up this morning, Brooke was sleeping right next to Makenzie in Makenzie's bed. The bunk beds already had railings that matched the beds so I left the railings on Brooke's bed so I know she won't roll out of bed. IF it wasn't that we already had the bunk beds, I would have gotten a toddler bed for Brooke. The girls room looks pretty good now. Now I can paint it since I can move the beds around. I could move the beds when it was bunked since it is a solid wood style. Once I got the top bed down, I had to switch one side of each bed (to make both beds have a head board and foot board) which to my surprise, wasn't as hard as I thought.

Well, gonna go. I'll be back later!!!

OH YEAH.....our news.............................. Garry has a meeting with the new chief (who starts as chief the first of the year) and the mayor on Tuesday Nov. 8th. I guess when you become the new CAPTAIN of the Police force you are going to have those meetings now!!!!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: I didn't want to tell you guys that he took the test (Oct 8th) until we got the results back because if he didn't get it I didn't want to post that he didn't get it. NOW, we don't have the official "letter from the mayor yet" but EVERYONE has congratulated him at work including the old and new chiefs. SOOOOOOOOO, that is our big news!! There were 6 who took the test and Garry finished first. Not bad for only being on the department for 14years. He gone from patrol officer to sgt.to captain in only those 14 years. He will finally be on days 9 to 5pm mon through friday (or if he works 10 hour days monday through thursday) all weekends off and all holidays!!! I will let you all know WHEN he will be sworn in. Like I said, he hasn't gotten the letter from the mayor stating he will be promoted, but everyone else has congratulated him including one council member, sooooooo it's a good thing!!!
Now Garry wants to officially change his name from Lauter to Kangaroo. So the guys on the force would call him Captain Kangaroo! :rotfl2:

Gonna go...be back!!

Julie: Yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I knew you said you were waiting for the official letter and that hopefully it will come this week since next week is election day. Tell Captain Kangaroo congrats from all of us! :cool1: Here's to a normal life. It iwll certainly make it easier to get together.

I have been waiting since before Garry took his test to hear this news. I found out from Julie on Saturday that there was a very good chance Garry would make Captain.

I am leaning toward the toddler bed. It seems we have so many things that have to wait until after the first of the year to get because of finances. This will put off the expense of a bigger bed for a while.

Glad Brooke loves her new bed. She sounded cute for TOT!

Not going to Jerry's parents tonight. His dad is in more of a bad mood than usual.

We had berrytinis last night in our Sessions glasses. All we were missing was Daryl Lockhart.

They are finally working on the driveway next door! We called and comlained a few weeks ago and they said that what our neighbor wanted to do was just approved.

I lost 1 pound this week. I hope I don't gain it back next week.

I work tomorrow morning and then have a doctors appointment after that. It's time for that yearly woman thing. At least she can't yell at me about my weight!

Until who knows?

YAY GARY!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS CAPTAIN KANGAROO!!!! :cool1: :cheer2: :bounce: :bounce:

Julie - I pmed you my address. I will talk with Chris tonight to see what cookies he wants.

Hello Everyone!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO GARRY!!!!!! How exciting for you guys!!
what cookies??

Heidi-Good to hear the sparkle is coming back in you.

Well tomorrow we are on our way to Oklahoma. I am so not wanting to
go on another trip. Between the money and the time off of work, I would
much rather stay home!

I had a message on my voice mail at work from Tiffany's school. They are threatening Saturday school if she has another unexcused absence. I am not sure how I feel. She is a great kid and makes really good grades. She has already been excepted in the only college she wanted to attend. She is taking really challenging classes because she wants to not because she needs them. As far as I can see the missed classes are not hurting her grades. I pretty much feel I really don't care if she misses classes. She is a Senior and has all her credits she needs to graduate. The school is making her sign an attendance contract. The lady said they will start dropping her from the classes. She is missing her morning class because she is not wanting to get up. She is losing interest in school. She is involved in "Mock Trial" and is super excited about that. I told her to hang in there until January then drop all classes except a couple of fun ones. Now I am hoping she makes it until the end of the semester. What do I do :confused3

where the wind come sweeping down the plains....la la la la :charac2: :rockband:

Barb - wow tough situation. Tiffany needs to hang in there for atleast this semester. There is only 2 months left that she needs to tough it out and then I would suggest the same thing you did, take fun classes the last semester. What does she think will happen if her college finds out? I'm sorry, sounds like a stressful thing for you. :grouphug: Tell her to get up and get to class, it's almost over. If she could do it for the last 3 years she can do it for a few more months. My advice, but than again I never missed classes in High School or college, not even a sick day.

Barb: Enjoy Oklahoma. Heidi stole my thunder. Tiffany needs to attend classes. It isn't going to be any eaiser in college if she has morning classes or has to get up for work. This is the real world. My 1st year of college, I had 7:45AM clases 4 days a week. This was the only time the class was offered.

After grocery shopping and going to BJ's, I am done. Kaleigh is upstairs crying because she wants her socks off and Jerry said to leave them on for bed.

I just ordered the toddler bed for Kaleigh. I didn't get the bedding yet because there is no money for it. That trip in August really busted the budget, but it was worth it. Kaleigh has sheets and blankets and doesn't sleep with a pillow anyway.

Off to work tomorrow.

It has been a very long day. I just couldn't go to sleep without thanking Sally :love2: for calling me. I only wish I would have been home. You made me feel loved. Thanks so much.

CONGRATULATIONS GARRY. :cool1: :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

:grouphug: What can I say to thank you guys properly. The flowers were a very nice reminder that I have a wonderful caring Disney family. They are absolutely the prettiest arrangement of pink and white. You guys have always been there for me through good times and bad times. I love you all. :love2:

The funeral is set for tomorrow morning. It will be an open casket, something I don't look forward to. I really didn't have a say in too much. Her boyfiriend/common law husband did it all much to my disappointment. His family is running around telling people that their mom passed away. What? Hello? It will be interesting tomorrow at graveside if we get pushed aside. I will rest when tomorrow is over. The mortuary won't turn over a death certificate to me because they are calling him the next of kin. Do you see a marriage certificate? What a mess. I knew it would be but didn't ever want to upset mom with trivial things. Then I have a sister already talking about getting things. She said that she doesn't want to come across as greedy. Hello?????

Our firend Louise went back to the emergency room last night and was admitted. They are thinking pnemonia. Man, will life ever settle down?

Hugs to all.
Thank you so very much for the flowers.

Sandy: :grouphug: I will be thinking of you and your family tomorrow. It will not be easy, but we will all be there supporting you in spirit.

Work was good, short 3 residents that are in the hospital, so it was pretty quiet.

MD appointment went fine. Good to go until next year.

Kaleigh was a busy girl this morning. Before she ever got out of the room, she found her nail scissors and cut the cord to her monitor. They are now put where she can't get them. While Jerry was taking a shower, she moved the boxes in the kitchen and found herself in the dining room helping herself to a chocolate from the trick or treat bowl. Finally, she wanted an apple, so she went to the utensil drawer and found a huge steak knife! They are now where neither she nor I can reach then. Kaleigh knows she is not to do any of this stuff, but I think she was trying to see what she could get away with since daddy was home.

Work again tomorrow.

Another hug for Sandy and Heidi :grouphug:
