Hi All! Just popping in to check in on everyone.
Sandy, big hug for you!!! AND another big hug!!!! Thinking of you!!!!!!!
Denine, I would look at the money situation first and for most. IF you can swing the twin bed now, I say go for the twin now and you can get those folding bed rails at
walmart, sears, babies r us, etc. Those plastic toddler beds really aren't that bad. She might like the toddler bed a little better then a big bed. It is ONLY $39. It's not like it's going to be her bed forever. If she might get up in the middle of the night to play, I would go for the toddler bed so it is easier for her to get in and out of bed.
Barb, nice to see you posting again!!
Heidi, we are selling girl scout cookies so if you want some... let me know! OH yeah!!! I need your home address for the chirstmas exchange. The people who have you need to get it so you get your present. Just pm me or email me with it so I can pass it on.
UPDATE on the Lauter's....
The kids LOVED Trick or Treating. Brooke was hysterical! She would walk up to the door, put her pumpkin on the pouch, stick her hand out for the candy, and then she would put it in her pumpkin. Then she would wave and say BYE! Tanks! and turn and walk down the steps and on to the next house. She did great for a good hour and 15 mins. Then we went over to my mom's and she and the Big Guy stayed and Makenzie and daddy and I finished the "candy run".
Took Makenzie's bunk beds down and took the crib down. Now Makenzie and Brooke have their big girl beds now. Brooke LOVES her bed. Last night was the first night she slept in it. She looked so cute! WHen I went to get Makenzie up this morning, Brooke was sleeping right next to Makenzie in Makenzie's bed. The bunk beds already had railings that matched the beds so I left the railings on Brooke's bed so I know she won't roll out of bed. IF it wasn't that we already had the bunk beds, I would have gotten a toddler bed for Brooke. The girls room looks pretty good now. Now I can paint it since I can move the beds around. I could move the beds when it was bunked since it is a solid wood style. Once I got the top bed down, I had to switch one side of each bed (to make both beds have a head board and foot board) which to my surprise, wasn't as hard as I thought.
Well, gonna go. I'll be back later!!!
OH YEAH.....our news.............................. Garry has a meeting with the new chief (who starts as chief the first of the year) and the mayor on Tuesday Nov. 8th. I guess when you become the new CAPTAIN of the Police force you are going to have those meetings now!!!!!!!!!!

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't want to tell you guys that he took the test (Oct 8th) until we got the results back because if he didn't get it I didn't want to post that he didn't get it. NOW, we don't have the official "letter from the mayor yet" but EVERYONE has congratulated him at work including the old and new chiefs. SOOOOOOOOO, that is our big news!! There were 6 who took the test and Garry finished first. Not bad for only being on the department for 14years. He gone from patrol officer to sgt.to captain in only those 14 years. He will finally be on days 9 to 5pm mon through friday (or if he works 10 hour days monday through thursday) all weekends off and all holidays!!! I will let you all know WHEN he will be sworn in. Like I said, he hasn't gotten the letter from the mayor stating he will be promoted, but everyone else has congratulated him including one council member, sooooooo it's a good thing!!!
Now Garry wants to officially change his name from Lauter to Kangaroo. So the guys on the force would call him Captain Kangaroo!
Gonna go...be back!!
