Happy Saturday Everyone!

Guess what I did. I am officially "Part Time" for now. I still work 32 hours a week but now have every Friday off. I am making stuff for Jason's wedding, Bob's parents anniversary party, 4 committees at work, a baby shower I am having, Tiffany's graduation party, Ethan's scrap book and Tiffany senior year scrap book, and I am creating stuff and teaching the crafts for the class Tiffany and I are teaching plus . With all the errands and appointments and cleaning etc.... I really needed some extra time off. So I am pretty happy they allowed me to go part time. It was a good time to make the change since Bob is officially "Activated" now.

Heidi- I love the new signatures. I would love one just like Julie's purple signature with pink Mickey. I will try and figure out how to do it from the directions you sent me.

Today we are going to Fort Collins to watch the college Michelle attends home coming game. Michelle is the drum major and I do not have any pictures yet. Jason is up this weekend so we are looking forward to hanging out with him in Fort Collins until the football game. I guess they are suppose to lose, oh well. I am only going for the half time show anyway :teeth:

Bonnie-Congratulations on the weight loss!!

I am happy to report my Dad is doing very well. He is already back at work. He got out of the hospital a day early and to work the next day. I wish he would slow down but it seems to make him happy. Thanks for your prayes and pixie dust. That was quite a scare.

Weekends are pretty slow on the board but I thought I would post anyway.

Hope everyone has a fun safe weekend. Talk to you all next week.

Barb ::MickeyMo

Heidi- I DID IT!! I am pretty excited!! Got the sparkle signature. Now how do I do the picture?

Gotta run, off to Fort Collins.

Hi Barb, love the signature. You chose a great font. Sounds like you are pretty busy. I think you need a day off to accomplish everything. I didn't realize that your dad works. I thought he was retired.

We are having a BEAUTIFUL Saturday. It is so warm and sunny. Sunday we will have rain and by Monday they are predicting the s word. Yep, SNOW. I am sure no accumulation but still snow.

We are washing and waxing the other side of the trailer today. Tonight I have a bridal shower to attend. Tomorrow will be spent doing the things for Ted's dads house and also our friend. Never ending.

I am here!

Just been busy. I worked Thursday and Friday, so jerry had the computer. We took Kaleigh to have her pictures taken Thursday evening. They came out sooo cute! Today, we went to the art sale and got a couple of small pieces for our bathroom. It has rained all day and is cold! The babysitter will be here in an hour so we can go out to dinner.

Jeanne: On the way into the picture place, we said to Kaleigh "Yes, yes, yes" she said right back "no, no, no!"

Barb: COngrats on your decision to go part time. I can't believe how busy you have been!

Heidi: Some of the food sounds pretty good!

Sandy: Hope you got the trailer waxed before the snow comes!

I spent last night and a lot of today working on the photo albums from the trip. I have them almost all done. I just need to go back and put in more stickers. There are 4 albums all together.

We are soo hungry. We have been eating minimally so we can have a nice dinner at the 100th Bomb Group. We haven't been there in years.

Off to read the newspaper before I get ready to go out.

Good Morning Everyone,

Spent yesterday in Fort Collins with Jason and Michelle. Went to a college football game and sat in the student section. It was an eye opening experience. I watched the students interact with one another and didn't watch the football game. Of course the students stand the entire time so I really couldn't see anyway. It was an amusing day all in all. Michelle looks so cute directing this huge band. She is pretty tiny. I didn't get one single picture though. She was so far away and there were so many students in front of me. I couldn't get a good picture. We will go up there again sometime and I will try again and next time pay a higher price for my ticket and SIT with other parents!

I am going to play with my signature again and make it a little bigger to see if I like it better.

Burr cold today. Looks like it is going to be cold all week. Hope you got your trailer done yesterday Sandy.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

The lull before the storm. What a humid, cool day. We were going to finish the trailer today but Ted decided it was too cool. We pretty much only have on side left. Feels good.

Barb, I bet it was an eye opening experience. What size font did you use for your signature? I honestly really like it like that. It seems so feminine.

Denine, didn't you say you went to a starving artist sale? How was it? How was date night? I am so jealous that you are practically done with you pictures. I haven't even printed any yet. We haven't even had time to view the video. Can't wait though. It will be like experiencing it for the first time again being it has been so long. lol.

Last night I went to the Melting Pot with the employees from LA Weight loss for a bridal shower. It was very nice and fun. I would never had eaten what I did but eating with the counselors made it easy. The Melting Pot is a fondue restaurant. Never had been to a place like that. Ted would have hated it.

Better run. I feel guilty. Ted is out raking the lawn before it snows. We are on the dividing line for lots of snow or just a little bit. It is a waiting game.

CO snow and NJ is floating away. We certainly have paid for having nice days! An average of 5-6 inches of rain fell yesterday.

Lost another 3 pounds...total 7.8 now. I am determined to lose 50 by next sept. so I can look as good as Sandy on the cruise!!!

Nothing else new here. Had to meet with some group reps. since they are trying to convert them to a national account. Unfortunately I thought it was on Friday and was bummed since I wouldn't be able to dress down. Well, I wore a short little skirt on Thur. and lo and behold that was when the meeting was. DUH! I felt like a middle aged tart. Sort of slunk into the meeting. At least I didn't have to stand. At least I spoke well. I went out this weekend and bought a black suit!!! Very conservative.

WAY TO GO BONNIE GIRL!!!!

Sandy- Under the fonts there is one catagory called "Popular" it is there. If you know what I am talking about I will tell you which one. If not I will give you the link. Let me know

It is cold and raining here. I LOVE Sunday's like this. Makes me want to
snuggle with a blanket with the fireplace on.

Barb, oh how I wish I could say the same. I would love to turn on a fireplace but I need one first!! Even Heidi has one. I know which link you are talking about because Heidi just showed me a couple of days ago. We went through a lot of them trying my name out.

Bonnie, you made my day. Thanks for the compliment. I KNOW YOU CAN LOSE THE WEIGHT. WOW, YOU ARE DOING AN AWESOME JOB!!!! I can't believe how much you have already lost!!! Didn't realize you were getting rained on. And more rain, and more rain. That is a lot of rain!!

We had a good day Friday. We all met at the "Beach Grill" for breakfast, took Ocean Drive to droll over the million dollar shore houses, walked around Cape May & ate at the Lobster House. We stayed at Pat's house (long story) & watched "Shall We Dance". Saturday morning we woke up to overcast skies & showers :umbrella:. It wasn't pouring but just threatening but half the vendors didn't show up. We decided not to stay overnight Saturday night & drove home but really got caught in a real rainstorm!

DENINE: Tell Kaleigh I said "yes, yes, yes".

BONNIE: I am SOOOOOO proud of you. I know you - you can do it! You can do any thing you set your mind on! :thewave: I think I will start my diet AGAIN tomorrow!!!!!!!

Things are really crazy here  and that is a VERY long story.

Watching the EAGLEs lose right now. Should actually be a little more optimistic & do the "FLY, EAGLES, FLY" cheer. :cheer2:

Have a good week. Miss you all. Can't wait until September! Toodles  :genie: JEANNE

Cold and rainy and mesierable here too.

We bought 2 small pieces of art for our bathroom, not hydrangeas, but still flowers with purple in them.

We had a really nice time at dinner, ate too much. Then we went to the mall and I bought a $45 sweater for $10. Then we went to a coffee shop for coca and to talk a bit and then home. Kaleigh had a great time. Our next date is for our anniversary in 2 weeks.

I am not going to make it through this winter. We are trying to keep the heat at 65 during the day and 60 at night becasue of the heating prices this winter. I am freezing! I now have my motivation for doing the treadmill!

Kaleigh greeted us Sunday morning in our room. She climbed out of her crib and came into our room and said it was time to get up. Shocked us both!
The problem is, she won't stay in her crib now. She keeps climibing out. I did just lower the rail to see if she could climb back in. We don't have the money for a big girl bed right now. I was hoping to wait until after the first of the year.

Bonnie: COngrats on the weight loss!

Jeanne: Too bad about your weekend. Right now, I am telling Kaleigh "no, no, no!"

Sandy: I think we have one of those melting pot restaurants around here somewhere. Sounds good. Hope you don't get too much snow.

I finished my photo albums! If I can find more stickers, I will add to it in the places I didn't have stickers for. We haven't watched our video yet either. It will have to wait until baseball season is over. Go Angels!

Barb: Sounds like you had a fun weekend. I went to 1 football game in college, my freshman year.
Also went to 1 basketball game, probably the next year.

Hi guys, cold and miserable.

Barb, I am dying to know if you got any snow. The snow amounts around here are crazy. We pretty much are getting straight rain/snow showers. More rain than snow. Then just a couple of miles away they have bad driving because of the snow on the streets. I can't believe how much water is in the gutters.

Jeanne, too bad about the weather. Eating at the Lobster House must have made the trip though.

Denine, we are attempting to keep the temp at 63 day and night. We have solar that heats the house most of the day/night so that really cuts down on our heating bill. It also heats our hot water for household use. We put it in YEARS ago when there was another gas crisis. It has really paid off. I am sure people around think it to be an eyesore but it is so worth it. A lot of people put in solar in Denver but has since taken it down for one reason or another. There were so many systems but ours is very unique for the entire house heating.

Bad news here. I gained 4 pounds over the weekend. It is all my fault so I am not upset. I had 3 margaritas on Friday and then the Melting Pot on Saturday. I pretty much enjoyed whatever I wanted over the weekend.

Well our lives are getting even more crazy. Our friend has been released from therapy so that means she either pays 170.00 per day for the nursing home, goes home to her house, goes into Asst Living or comes to live with us for awhile which I believe would end up forever. She is a dear friend but I don't think I could live with her. She is soooooo crotchety (sp). She yells at Ted, kicks him if he doesn't respond the way she wants and other things. She is very frail and doesn't want to eat. She is under 100 pounds and is 5'7". I think she is obssessed with weight so she doesn't eat. They can't even get her to eat much at the nursing home. If they can't, I sure can't. I think Ted feels obligated to take care of her because she doesn't have anyone. Gosh, what is the right thing to do? Then on top of that, my mom is going blind due to her diabetes and needs another eye surgery. The first one was very hard on her to get back on her feet. I have organized to have dinners made by my family and my brother so she doesn't have to cook. I have a feeling one day she will need my help as well. How do you tell her if our friend moves in, sorry, I don't have the time or room for you???? On top of that Ted doesn't want her to move in if her boyfriend is still alive. That guy is crazy and obnoxious. I don't know how my mom has put up with him all these years. Sorry, guess I just had to spill everything out of my mind. We have to decide by tomorrow which way will be best for her. The trouble is she doesn't even know that yet. Yikes, tomorrow could be interesting.

Better run. The laundry is calling my name.

ok Sandy....I say Don't Do It! I know you think it is the right thing to do but you have to think about you and Ted....if you think she would be there forever it will not be good for you or Ted. I know my kids think I would move in with them but I am smart enough to know no matter how much you love someone it isn't fair to your family. And if she is mean to Ted...better think about the long run and not just the present.

Oh Sally, thanks so much. I really need to throw it out for conversation. Thanks so much for your input. I think you are right. Just don't know if I can say no though. Stay tuned.........

Don't Do IT!!

I go for the assisted living part. Pam's mom is doing so much better without someone hovering 24/7. Per her sister she is less stooped over, walks more, goes swimming etc. Then Pam mentioned bringing her here for Thanksgiving...I told her not to do that. She has to get used to being out there and is doing better. Her place is terrific w/ fireplace, 1 BR w/ den, kitchen however they go to the dining room for dinner. If this woman can afford it I say go that route.
As for the 4 #...most of that is probably the drinks and that should come off easily since it is probably mostly water weight.

Barb-any snow there is the springs??? That is where Pam's mom is now!

Denine-sounds like you had a terrific date night. I would promise Kaleigh a big girl bed in exchange for patty training...I got Ryan's bed before his 3rd birthday and lo and behold he stayed dry at night and potty trained 2 weeks prior to his 3rd birthday.

Yes we started getting snow last night before midnight and it is still snowing but so far most of it is melting because the ground is still warm...it is very wet and is suppose to keep it up all night into the morning.

Sandy, it is only hard to say no the first few times...I know because when I was younger I was always saying yes and then really unhappy because I couldn't say no. Then when I was cookie chairman for 7 counties in Ohio and had to train people, be responsible for money and had to spend so much time in cookies up to my eyeballs that when they told me they wanted me to do it again the next year I finally said no! That was the year we had to raise the price from .35 to .50 a box.....lol

I think Bonnie is right... and she will do much better if she doesn't expect to be waited on hand and foot....and she will if she is with you...you are too nice and she knows it.

Wow, so much to read than last Friday....so glad you guys came out to post. I was missing all of you so much.

Barb - we missed you and I am so glad you are posting again. I love your signature!!!! To get the pink Mickey head all you have to do is Quote the post where I put it in and you can get the "code" to place in your signature. Or you can copy it from Julie or Denine's signature and go to www.imageshack.us to host it (just like you did for your signature).

Jeanne/Julie - Hang in there.

Denine - sounds like you had a great date night and you will have another one soon :)

Bonnie - Congrats on the weight loss. :Pinkbounc

Sally - glad Dick is doing better again.

Mom - I am so sorry I haven't been there for you to vent to me. I have been soooooo preoccupied with Chris's mom and the girls that I have been neglecting you. Tell me what I can make for do for grandma and I will gladly do it, if dad doesn't want Sam in your house, they can always stay in my extra bedroom (but I am not sure if the stairs would be good for grandma). Lou can come stay at my house too if it makes it easier on you and Dad. Let me know what I can do. I'm sorry, I'm here and things have calmed down a lot at my house now.

My weekend was busy. Saturday we went to the Littleton Historical Museum's Fall Festival and had a picnic. It is a working farm and a lot of fun. We got to have freshly pressed apple cider, wagon rides, old time farm games for the girls, and got to pick pumpkins out of the pumpkin patch (the most expensive pumpkins I have ever bought, but it is going towards a good cause, and we had a lot of fun picking them!!!!) Thankfully the girls picked out small ones $3.00 each because I picked out a big one that was $10 (when I could have picked out one similar at Walmart for $3.00!!!!) It was hot and over 80 degrees that day!!! Bed time - one of the girls ended up sleeping with me, the other girl slept on the couch, Chris on the floor in the living room and Chris's mom in the 2nd bedroom. Needless to say Chris and I were the only ones not to sleep that night!!!

Sunday was colder, but Chris's mom took the girls to a movie while Chris did his homework. Bed time - Both girls fell asleep on our bed, Chris's mom in 2nd bedroom and Chris and I trying to sleep on the couch....ended up me on the floor!!!!! Chris and I didn't sleep again that night!!!!

Monday we were stuck inside due to the weather and the girls were bouncing off the wall, so we had to take them to Walmart and the $1 store so that they could get out and stop driving us all crazy. We dropped the girls off and ate dinner up at Chris's ex-wife's house. Came home and had to go to my parents house so that Chris could use the computer.

Glad to be back at work, things will be calmer here!!! Thank god I only have a 3 days work week!!!!!

Friday is mommy and me time (only I am 25!!!!) Can't wait!!!!

Good Morning everyone!

Yes lots of snow. Yesterday morning I left the house in my Mustang thinking the roads did not look to bad. The further north I got the worse it got. I spun on Powers Blvd. It scared me so bad I turned around to go home and get the van. I still had a long way north to go to work and the radio said 2 to 7 more inches of snow during the day. When I got home Bob was taking down our gazebo so I headed out to help him. I hit the first step and fell down the rest. I hurt my back and head so bad I can hardly move today. Thank God I did not break anything but just bruised. I took some heavy duty pain killers yesterday and that seemed to help some. I am so sore today I can hardly move. Good news is the roads are better. I decided that after the way my day started yesterday the best thing for me was to stay safely in my house. Missy came over and brought Ethan. We ended up doing some scrapbooking. She is hooked now too. :teeth:

Sandy- I understand how you feel about wanting to help your friend. But sounds like it may be better to not let her move in. A real friend would visit, take food and offer a shoulder to lean on. If she would move in, you may be stuck and end up resenting the situation, it could bring an unhappy ending to a friendship that has meant so much to you in the past.

Heidi-I am going to have to read and reread your post on how to do the Mickey head. Can you make me a purple one?

Barb - OUCH.....hope you are feeling better. We barely got snow, it was just darn cold. It sounded like the snow was South, East and West of Denver!!!

Here you go:

Thanks Heidi! I will try and figure it out when I get home. Tell me again how I do this. I tried on Satureday to do a picture and it didn't work.
