Jeanne: So sorry to hear about your aunt.

Thanks for the recipe Julie!

I have done most of my Christmas shopping this morning without leaving home! Only have a couple people left.

Went to Big Lots this morning and got a fall flag and a scarecrow. Prices were much better than elsewhere.

Today is out last warm day, tomorrow it is going to be cold.

Went to Amish yesterday, had a really nice day. Bought a mirror for the foyer and a Christmas present for my mom and some staples, like always. Didn't get to shop as much as I wanted, but we ran out of time. Beautiful drive. We now have a way to get there from our house without driving any freeways and it doesn't take as long either. Bought a case of wine while we were down there, now we are stocked.

I won't carve the pumpkins until right before Halloween, that would be a big mistake. It is cool enough, the whole pumpkins should last.

I gained 1 pound this week, too much food over the weekend and I am already in the hole 17 points this week. Have to go easy the rest of the week. I really need to get back on that treadmill!

Still need to plant our tree.

Don't like pumpkin pie. I love most fruit pies though, just not apple.

Gotta watch baseball tonight! GO TRIBE!!!!! We can't lose anymore games.

Kaleigh and I go to the doctor tomorrow afternoon. She gets her 3 year check-up and I get new prescriptions.

Sandy: I didn't think it was that hot in Curacao. Everyone around kept complaining. I thought it was only 83 or 84. Turns out it was 90 with 70% humidity or so. I thought it was nice.

Cooking out tonight, pork chops. Don't know how many more times we can use the grill.

Good morning all!!!! Today is supose to be sunny and warmer than yesterday.

I'm with Denine, I don't like pumpkin pie!!!

Mom - did you tape nanny 911? I fell asleep at 8:15!!!!!!

WHAT A NICE SURPRISE. I SEE MY NAME IN SPARKLES AND ALSO A MICKEY HEAD. THANKS HEIDI. YOU ARE TOO KIND. :love2:

I wanna know too!

Kaleigh is 38" and 30 lbs. Tall and skinny.

Went to the resale store and got a bunch of cute stuff.

Nothing else going on.

I work tomorrow.

I am doing this a day early ONLY because I won't be at work tomorrow to do it then:

Oh my gosh, Heidi. That is sooooo cool. Thank you for the birthday wish! It will be nice to spend it with you tomorrow.

I hope you have a very special day!!!!! I wish we could be there to share in your day!!! Have fun! Here's to many more wonderful days!

Jeanne, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. You have been in my prayers and thoughts for the past week and a half.

Denine. glad to hear that Kaleigh is healthy and everything is well.

Brooke had her "heart" check up on Tuesday. The Dr. said that she still has the holes and he gave her less then 50% that the holes will heal on their own. He also said that since she is healthy and has great blood pressure, she isn't a canidate for open heart surgery. IF everything stays as is, she can do any sport and can push herself in anything as long as she wants to. SO I guess that's ok. She still needs to be on antibiotics when she has a fever for more then 24hrs and before and after she sees a dentist. So, I'm still going to be cautious when she gets sick. Just something else to worry about. The dr offiicially called her condition a "heart disease". Which I guess it is, but I never really thought of it that way. It really threw me off when he said that. And that on any "health form" for school or anything I have to report it as such. I know she is fine and that nothing is going to stand in her way, BUT hearing from a Dr. that your child has a heart disease just knocks the wind out of you. I have felt like someone has punched me in the gut after hearing that. BUT like I said,I KNOW she will fine and that she will do anything and everything she wants to. The dr. did say that IF there is any change in her blood pressure that he will re-evaluate her situation. Well, enough of that.....

Hi Barb, Patty, and Sally! Hi to Susan too!

Heidi, ok, how did you get all the cool stuff in your signature??? I want a glittery mickey!!!! Have fun with your mom!!! Think of me being there with you guys because I will be thinking of you both!!!

Bonnie, Keep us posted on how you are doing with weight watchers. I know you can do it because you are one tough cookie!!!! You go girl!

Well, gonna go! Have a great day everyone and a SUPER SPECIAL DAY TO YOU SANDY!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANDY........It is two in the morning so it is now your birthday..... princess:

Dick is in the hospital so it is pretty lonely here.....guess that is why I am still up. His leg and feet were swollen so he called the doctor and he had him come in at 5:30.....this is the first time I haven't gone to the doctor with him but he said all he was going to do was have it checked and I should stay home. I went to Walmart with my granddaughter to get a space heater for her office and when we got back a little after 6:30 he still wasn't home. He called about 7:00 and said the doctor was sending him up to the hospital because he had a clot in his leg and he wanted his lungs x-rayed to see if there was any clots in them. I told him I would be up and he said no that there wasn't anything I could do so stay home and he would call as soon as he knew anything. Well he didn't call and finally after 9 a nurse in emergency called and said they hadn't gotten the tests results yet so they were going to keep him overnight. So I won't know anything until morning.

I called Rick and Patti but couldn't get any answer at Barb's. I called all evening and even tried her cellphone and instant message but still couldn't get ahold of her. Finally I got Jaymee and she said Barb had gone to bed so I told her I would tell her tomorrow....the kids get upset if we don't let them know right away if anything happens and it seems it has been a summer of one thing and other.

Guess I better go to bed.....goodnight all :wave2: :wave2:

Sally, so sorry to hear about Dick. Please keep us posted as to what is happening with him. Pixie Dust being sent your way!

Happy Birthday Sandy!!!
:bday:

Sally I hope Dick is OK..will keep him in my prayers.

Julie- My cousin had a hole in his heart...played football in college without a problem so not to worry there. He had to do the same...antibiotics before the dentist. Brooke looks and acts healthy so all must be ok.

I love pumkin pie!

I had an eye doctors appointment so I get to work from home the rest of the day...well...I am reading emails!

Nice week because Wednesday I had jury duty...didn't get picked and was let go by 12 noon.

Hi everyone,

Had a very nice day. Spent it with Heidi and also we met with some friends for lunch. Very enjoyable day.

Julie, I understand how you feel. Just hang in there kiddo. Sounds like the doctor isn't all that concerned. I, too, have to take antibiotics for my heart before a dentist and also if I have been around strep. I wasn't allowed to play sports. Boy, did I use that to my advantage!!

Sally, sorry about Dick. Please post when you can how he is doing. Pixie dust!

Bonnie, don't you just love it when you don't have to serve on a jury! How's the eyes doing?

Dick has two blood clots in his lungs and one in his leg. They said the one in his leg is throwing off the clots and they are giving him shots in the stomach and blood thining medicine. He will be in the hospital until at least Tuesday and will then have to stay on the blood thinning medication at least 6 months and have to wear a bracelet saying he is on it.

I took his laptop up to the hospital so he won't get bored. He feels fine and isn't in any pain.

Thanks for the well wishes for him....

Sally, thank goodness he went to see the doctor! I know how Dick likes computers so at least he can have his laptop and avoid boredom. Tell him Ted and I are thinking of him. Where is Barb?

I don't know why she hasn't posted.....she took off work at noon yesterday and went to the hospital with me.....Missy, Jaymee, Criss and Ethan all went too

Sally=Thank heavens he went to the doctor! I guess they don't put in filters anymore...they used to when people were prone to pulmonay embolisms. Will he go home with the shots in the belly (probably Lovenox) or on pills?

Talked to Jeanne last night, called because WDW has some decent prices for December. She has her hands full! I don't know how she will manage. Good thing she has Teddy.

Went to WW today...lost 4.8#...44.2 to go! At least that much!

Anybody ever read Janet Evanovitch books? I grabbed one at work last Monday and couldn't put it down. I loved it so much that I bought 3 more! She is writting books that start with numbers..I read # 4 first. They all take place in Trenton NJ so I can picture everything when reading. They are reaaly hysterical even though there a mystery.

Bonnie-what is filters? He is having the shots in the stomach and will for awhile and then medication....they say he formed clots for no apparent reason and that they need to get the blood thin as soon as possible so no more break loose as it could be fatal.....scarey thought.

Sally, I was talking to Ted about Dick. We were both thankful that he went to the doctor. How is he doing? How long will he be in the hospital?

Bonnie, as you know. I never pick up a book but you sparked an interest by saying hysterical/mystery. Poor Jeanne. I figured it will be very hard on her for awhile until they get her mom all situated. Sounds like her Teddy is like mine. Ted got up early (on his birthday, no less) to go to the nursing home to help her reconcile her bank statement. Yesterday, he left the house at 5am to go up to his dad's house to gather up all the chemicals and took them to a business that takes care of it for you. 100 pounds is what his dad had. Didn't look like THAT much!! Then he came home and picked me up and we went up to our lady friends house where he fertilized, and we pulled weeds and picked up NASTY apples in her yard from her tree. Bees/wasps were all over the apples. ICKY. Then we went to the nursing home to deliver her mail and for her to pay bills. After that it was time for our birthday dinners at Stacey's. Today is another day and more work on the way. Will it ever slow down??? Way to go on the weight loss. That is totally awesome! I am very proud of you.

Everyone must be enjoying the fall weather this weekend. Love to all.

Sally-the filter is called a Greenfield filter. They used to put them in to stop the clots from traveling to the lungs. They may not do that anymore, perhaps they don't feel it is necessary. He will have to be careful while on the blood thinners. The smallest cut can bleed and bleed.

Sandy- Your Ted is the best. You are one lucky lady. Good thing you dumped his friend way back when! That was your life wasn't it?

Nothing doing today. Laying low.
