Good Afternoon!

I am mentally exhasted today. Haven't done much of anything today. I didn't sleep much at all last night. I think I will take some vitamins and hope for a better tomorrow.

The party went really good. The girls seemed to have a lot of fun. I was pretty happy with the results. Now to focus on the wedding.

Sounds like a fun birthday for you Heidi! Is it an outdoor pool? I thought yesterday was pretty chilly. We spent the day in Palmer Lake and I can't even imagine being in an outdoor pool! Burrrrrr......... The temps were only in the 70ies with wind all day. I am getting pretty tired of the wind. This marks 3 days in a row with the wind. Blah!

I HAD a dentist appointment today after work but offered to cancel it so Graci's mom could pick her up sooner. Now I go on July 21st @ noon, unfortunately that is my day off that I don't want to spend going to the dentist. Hopefully they can get me in sooner.

Barb: Glad the party went fine. You can almost slow down now!

Sandy: Poor Graci. How was their trip to WDW?

I forgot to mention that while just getting into the Magic Kingdom one day, I heard my name called. I turned around and it was Amanda and her parents, Bob and ? from the Panama Cruise. Bob is the one that set up the hotel discount in Anaheim and the bus from the hotel to the port in LA. She had her daughter Addison with her. How funny to "run" into people in WDW. Kaleigh and Addison had a blast together on the beach in Curacao and other times. THey live in FLA and were there for the day.

Heidi: Interesting dream. I get doozies like that too.

Well, I got all of Kaleigh's clothes re-arranged for the summer. I washed up more stuff and pulled out stuff to give away. I have more clothes for you Julie.

Jerry took Kaleigh to the grocery store. SHe was really getting on my nerves today.

I hope we don't have another 2 hour power outage today. We got home from Jerry's mom's yesterday to find the power out. It came back on not long after we got home, but the fans had all been off for 2 hours in almost 90 degree heat. It was hot in the house.

We had salmon on the grill for dinner. It was good. Ice cream later (light). Kaleigh didn't eat her hot dog, so no treats for her.

Barb - I can't believe how chilly it was for you in the Springs, well I guess it was really Monument and that is always colder than the Springs. It was a perfect day for swimming in Denver....there wasn't hardly any wind and the sun was out all day...it was beautiful, I couldn't have asked for a better birthday. Glad the party went well, take some time for yourself before you start stressing out about the wedding. Just relax. :grouphug:

Mom - just realized you said you gained weight...it couldn't have been with all the food we ate, I think it was from all the exercise we did over the weekend so it was all muscle weight!!

Barb, I will admit that this old lady was cold yesterday at the party. I guess I am always cold. I am glad that things went well. One more big party for you and you can take a big deep breath!

Denine, I do remember everyone you were talking about. I can't believe they bumped into you. I remember Addison and Kaleigh having a great time in Curacao. I loved Curacao! I think it is now my favorite port.

Yep Heidi. If you didn't have a BIRTHDAY my weight would be fine. Do you think it was chips and dips? Or was it the cheescake? Or could it have been all the homemade breads?....or baked beans....or your yummy drinks? My, my now that I think about it I deserve to have gained!!

WARNING VENT:
I am so angry right now that I could scream. Back in April, my agency had a huge reorganization where we had to set up our personnel and payroll systems, make amendment forms for the position descriptions, initiate and sign all the realignment actions and a bunch of other things that me and someone else was in charge of. The 2 of us worked our butts off for 2 weeks and stayed late many times while the other specialists I work with didn't do anything with the reorganization and they just continued with their normal jobs. A week after the reorganization was completed, the other specialists (and me and the other person as well) were all in charge of stapling the amendment forms to the PD's for the organizations we service. Today awards came out and all of the specialists (including me and the other person who was solely in charge of everything) all got the same amount of awards. WTH, how can someone who stapled on a piece of paper (that hasn't even been done, no one has done it yet) get the same amount of an award as someone who worked for 2 weeks solely on this project. I am so ready to go home!!!!

I forgot to tell you all that that a week ago Chris had to take our dog to the vet because she was attacked by a toy poodle and was bit twice. She needed stitches so she had to spend the night and have surgery on Friday. She got 10 stitches and has to keep them in and stay on antibiotics for 10 days. $500 later that was supose to go to the trip had to go to the vet. Poor Sable, thank god that family with the poodle has moved. This was the 2nd time the poodle had attacked Sable, but the first time she was never bitten.

Heidi: I'd be PO'd too! Just know that you did your job well and it will show in the end. Your poor puppy!

Sandy: I gained too much weight. I knew I had gained, but I didn't think I gained this much. I feel like I am starting over. I hate that everytime I lose weight, something happens and I can't exercise and I gain it back. I haven't gained it all back, but my ticker is a big lie now and I have to get rid of it. At least I am back on the treadmill. I did 35 minutes again today.

Well, our nice weather is going bye bye. I knew it wouldn't last, but I had hopes. Supposed to be in the low 70's and rain starting tomorrow and then into the 60's come Monday. Next Wednesday evening we leave for Detroit to go spend time in FLA.

Need to go to Home Depot to get the rest of the little fencing I need to complete my flower bed.

Good Morning!!

Getting ready to separate the graduation decorations from the Luau. Also figuring what I have left to pay on for the wedding. Looks like about $3000 Man I will be SOOOOOOO glad when all this stuff is over!!! And to think I could be using my money to go on the Disney cruise in Sept instead!

Missy has a friend staying here for 3 days. She also has a baby so we are busting at the seams with babies. Well only 2 but with babies there is so many extra thingys that go along with them. My little punkin Ethan is such a jibber jabberer. He talks in a baby talk tone to the dogs I can't wait to see him with Emma. She got in about 5:00 this morning so Ethan has not seen the baby (Emma is 5 months) yet.

The skies are kinda strange today. Looks like we could get a real bad rain storm but nothing is predicted. We are surrounded by weird looking clouds. :umbrella:

I just clicked on the (More) under the smilies and IT OPENED!!! YIPEEEEE I have never been able to open it from home wonder why it works now!! :smickey: :ccat: :mickeybar :goofy: :mickeyjum :donald: :tink: :dumbo:

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Barb, you missed out on going to lunch at GC and shopping at the scrapbook stores today because you don't answer your phone or email...... :confused3

Hello, well Barb. The skies were looking a bit bad. We got rain and now the sun is out. I hope that means it won't HAIL later on today. I found it soooo interesting on the news last night that USA Today found that Colorado was the 2nd rated for the worst location for Catastrophies. In the study, they included hail, hurricane, tornadoes, earthquakes, fires, bizzards and flooding. I was amazed that we ranked that high. Texas was number 1. I believe Nevada was the best.

Heidi, sorry about your award going out to everyone else. That stinks. I remember when you did all that.

Denine, I guess you and I lost before......WE CAN DO IT AGAIN!!!! I just have to look out for my "warranty". I can't go over a 5 pound gain in a year. I was yesterday but dropped a little today. I weigh in on Friday.

I heard from Stacey today that Tyler took his first couple of steps by himself yesterday. I am so happy that BOTH Stacey and Richard were a part of it. Too bad that Grandma wasn't though.

Just checking in to see if anyone wanted to come out and play. Guess not. Have a good evening. Looks pretty stormy here.

I am not sure if the pictures will show up but here is a cool way of making omelets. My brother tried it out over the weekend. I can't wait to try it with Noah. I will call it an experiment and he will love it. :rotfl2: Shoot the pictures of the omelet doesn't come across. Believe me, it looked perfect.

ZIPLOC OMELET

(This works great !!! Good for when all your family is together. The best part is that no one has to wait for their special omelet !!!)
Have guests write their name on a quart-size Ziploc freezer bag with permanent marker.
Crack 2 eggs (large or extra-large) into the bag (not more than 2) shake to combine them.
Put out a variety of ingredients such as: cheeses, ham, onion, green pepper, tomato, hash browns, salsa, etc.
Each guest adds prepared ingredients of choice to their bag and shake. Make sure to get the air out of the bag and zip it up.
Place the bags into rolling, boiling water for exactly 13 minutes. You can usually cook 6-8 omelets in a large pot. For more, make another pot of boiling water.
Open the bags and the omelet will roll out easily. Be prepared for everyone to be amazed.
Nice to serve with fresh fruit and coffee cake; everyone gets involved in the process and a great conversation piece.

Imagine having these ready the night before, and putting the bag in boiling water while you get ready. And in 13 minutes, you got a nice omlette for a quick breakfast!!!

I think my kids are going to like this!

I used tomatoes, ham, green onions, cheddar cheese and mushrooms in this one! MMMMMMMM . . .MMMMMMM good!!!

Let me help you out mom. Here are the pictures:

6 MORE DAYS UNTIL DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guess who has strep again....... MAKENZIE!!!! AAAAAAAAAARGGGGGGGGGGHHHHH! Tuesday was her field day and she woke up saying her throat hurt. Now she fell and hit her nose monday night and went to bed with an ice pack on her nose so she slept with her mouth open all night with the ceiling fan blowing on her. So, I looked at her throat and it didn't look yucky and she had no fever so she went to school. I took Garry and Brooke to Kiddie Park (an amusement park just for little ones 50 inches or smaller) with his preschool class. I had another little boy with me since his mother was working field day that morning and she was going to watch my two in the afternoon while I worked field day. I got the kids McDonald's and took them over to her house and went up to field day. Makenzie's teacher told me that Makenzie sat out of the morning activities because she said her stomach hurt. But she told her teacher that it didn't hurt anymore after lunch and told her she probably had a stomach ache because she didn't eat enough breakfast. I saw Makenzie and asked her if her stomach still hurt or her throat and she said no nothing hurts. SO, after school we came home and the kids crashed because of the heat (close to 90 degrees I think) and when Makenzie woke up she said she just didn't feel good and her neck and throat hurt and so did her stomach. She didn't want to drink or eat anything and just went into her room, climbed into bed and fell asleep again. She woke up and still felt horrible so I called her pediatrician (sp) and was on hold for 25mins. WHEN they did answer the phone it was 5 mins past the time the office "closed" and the woman said I'd have to wait until the next morning. I told her that I know she has it from all the times she has had it before (4 times this school year so far) and I wanted her on the meds so she would only miss 1 day of school instead of 2. She told me to go to the local hospital's urgent care if I didn't want to wait. SO, after talking over with Garry, we decided I should take her. I got the other 2 kids dinner and I got Garry's dinner and then I took Makenzie up. My mom took the other 2 kids thinking that it wouldn't take too long and that way Garry could go to bed since he had to get up at 4:30am for work and not have the other kids not going to bed or bothering him when he was in bed (they are famous for that! LOL). WELL, WERE WE WRONG!!!! We got there at 8:30pm and left the urgent care at 11:40pm!!! We got home about 10 til 12. Makenzie did eat some soup then and I got all the kids into their beds and then I went to the local 24hr drug store to get the prescription filled. I get there and the guys says that their store doesn't have a contract with our health insurance co so the the prescription would cost about $88. I said I don't think so and he told me of another drug store that was open that would accept the insurance. So I drove another 15mins, go the prescription $7.50, got home, woke Makenzie up to give it to her (she doesn't remember at all) and got into bed about 1:30am. SO, that was my Tuesday. I tried posting this twice yesterday, but both times it disappeared!! So I did try to post yesterday but gave up after the second attempt failed. Makenzie has an appointment with an ears, nose and throat dr. today. It is looking like she will have to have ehr tonsils out. But that won't happen until we get back from vacation. I'll keep you all posted.

Barb, glad to hear that the party went well! Now, the wedding is next, right? Please take pictures of all your work so we can see all the wonderful things you have done!

Heidi, so sorry to hear about the work thing. THat has happened to Garry at the station so many times. Just remember........... You're the Hottie! They're Nottie!!!!

Sandy, you seem to loss the weight pretty fast, so I think you'll be ok by Friday. But I think you look great just the way you are!!!

Denine, About this time next week, you'll be landing in FL. I can't wait!!!

Well, gonna go. I'll be back later!

TTFN

Julie: If anyone needs a vacation, you do! See you in a week!

Sandy: Cool omelets! I can assure you I gained more than 5 pounds. I did do the treadmill again today.

We struck out at Home Depot last night.

Cooler, but very humid this morning.

I work tomorrow morning and then I have a doctor's appointment for that muscle thing at 1 PM then I have to go to Solon for calling hours for my friends grandma. that is from 2-4. I am hoping to get there by 3 PM. For all of you Stouffer's fans, Solon is where it is located and where I grew up. There are no evening calling hours. I have been friends with Kim since we were 5 and her grandparents lived next door to us.

I also work Saturday morning and we hope to get Kaleigh's bedroom painted this weekend.

Barb: A house of babies, you will be busy!

Good Morning!

Today is my anniversary we are going have to pretty much ignor it because of the wedding. Maybe we can do something at the end of July.

Getting ready to head out for the day. I have a lot of wedding stuff to do. I am trying to take care of a zillion phone calls right now. I am on hold with Cingular ugh.

Julie-Pixie Dust to Mackenzie. You are soooo lucky to be going to Disney!

Heidi-Bummer about the award. We appreciate you! :grouphug:

Sandy-My Mom and I have had those omlets before! We went to a scrapbook crop with a camping theme and they made those. They were pretty tasty!

Julie, I was going to start out and tease you and call you a bragger about WDW. Then I changed my mind. YOU NEED TO GO TO DISNEY!!

Denine, let us know about your dr appt. I want to lose SEVEN pounds by Sept. I honestly don't think I will though. BUMMER

Barb, that is cool that you have tried the omelets. I need to go to the store to get ingredients. Can't entice Noah though. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! I am so happy for you that Bob is actually home for it and not still away. That worked perfectly!
