Sandy-Oh my goodness I just found my sock letter. I will try and get mine bought and in the mail soon. I know my Mom has hers bought and we will send them together.

Did the secret Santa gifts ever get opened? I was just wondering what everyone got.

Amazing Race was crazy last night. My team is so weird!!!!

Barb - no secret santa gifts have not been opened yet. I haven't received mine yet either.

Yesterday afternoon, while leaving my mom and dad's house I was a witness to an accident. It was so scary. For some reason people always run this stupid light outside of my parent's neighborhood and that is exactly what happened yesterday. I was waiting to turn left onto Wadsworth from Parkhill. The light turned yellow and then red and there was a car in the middle of the intersection waiting to turn left onto Parkhill, she was going Northbound on Wadsworth before turning...she went to turn to clear the intersection when a mini van headed south on Wadsworth ran the light and t-boned her. Both vehicles were spinning and the car was spinning my way. There was someone in front of me but thank god no one behind me. I threw my car in reverse and did not get hit. If I did not move, she would have smacked into me and pushed me off the road. She stopped right right where I was. All parties were not seriously injured. I was shocked at what just happened and was shaking so bad that I barely made it home. The police took my statement so who knows who got the ticket. The girl in the car was having panic attacks and I had to talk to her mom on the phone to explain things to her and the other van was a family with 3 boys. The dad went running to the sidewalk and called the cops, the 2 boys were standing in the middle of the street while the mom was trying to get the 3rd boy out of a car seat. The mom asked me to watch her 2 boys because she couldn't get her other son out of the car seat, so I took the boys out of the street and tried to calm them down. Those poor boys, and all because the dad was in a rush and ran the light. The mom got the other boy and used my cell phone to call MANY people!!!!!! I am just glad everyone was mostly alright. The girl in the car did hit her and complained that her legs were hurting, very very scary!!!!!

Wow Heidi!!! What an experience you had. I am soooo glad you didn't have anyone behind you and you were there to comfort the little boys.

OMG Heidi! How scary. Glad you were able to get out of the way. Sounds like they need to monitor that intersection so people slow down or put up a red light camera to catch those that don't stop.

Sandy: I don't know if I have any candy apple recipes. I'll have to do a little looking. I have no idea how to freeze asparagus, but I am sure it can be.

Sally: I ordered from Spring Hill last year, but they sent everything so early. I lost several plants and I don't know if they will try to come up this spring. My friend did order the sub-zero roses and was very happy with them. I do love weeping cherry trees. I just don't know where to put one yet.

My grandma used to grow rhubarb. I never like what they sell in the stores, it is always yucky looking.

I am excited to put in a garden this year since we don't have any deer or rabbits to eat it. I need to make a list of what I want to put in it. I am going to try heirloom tomatoes.

We went to the mall last night. The walking hurt, but I managed. I bought Kaleigh a sweater and jean skirt for next winter, for $10 each at Gymboree or Children's Place, I can't remember. I bought a pair of shoes that were $70 for $17. I am a shoe hound. Bought Kaleigh two Princess Barbie's at the Disney store for $5 each. We also pre-ordered Narnia. I don't know when I will give Kaleigh the barbies. They are in my closet along with a Jojo. I always like to have something inepexpensive to give her for being especially good or for a trip.

I have cinnamom raisin bread in the machine for breakfast this weekend and I made soup for dinner. I will finish the soup later.

I work the next 2 days. I have to pick up my x-rays after work tomorrow and then I have my doc appointment on Friday afternoon.

It is supposed to be warmer the next few days, but rainy. Close to 60. Maybe if it gets warm enough, I can open some windows to air out the house.

I am upset. I gained 2 pounds. I have hardly eaten at all this week because the vicodin just takes away my appetite. I have no desire to eat and sometimes the thought of eating turns my stomach. I just want to be able to join curves and tone up and lose the rest of my weight. Now, I have at least 10 pounds to lose becasuse I gained 5 pounds back.

Barb: At least you can e-mail each other. I guess you are both so busy, that time should go pretty fast.

Happy Anniversary Sandy and Ted....how many years? :cool1:

Heidi, you really think fast if you managed to put your car in reverse...I would have probably sat there and watched and got hit...scarey experience for you. So glad you moved when you did.....

We are suppose to get snow but so far it is 43 and the sun was shinning but now it is getting cloudy....

I am scrapbooking and doing laundry....can't work outside so have a good excuse for doing nothing....

Oh wow, Sally. We never did have sun today. We are getting a lot of moisture. No snow accumulation just lots of moisture. I agree with you. I would have sat in the intersection and been hit. I don't think that fast.

Denine, I found asparagus tips and recipes for the candied apples. Trying to find the red hots was the hardest part! You really got some good deals for Kaleigh!

One of my favorite things on the ship is the sunflower seed rolls. Well, I played around a little yesterday and made some. Mmmmmmm, they will help me until I get back on the ship!

Barb, it is sad to hear how lonesome Bob is. Good thing he works hard to keep his mind off of home!

Heidi, you think your AR team is weird think about mine. At least yours was number one but mine keeps making stupid mistakes. Once again, I thought my team was last. Whose team lost this week?

Thanks for the anniversary wishes. It is 31 years and proud of it! That makes me think about what happened today. I bought a couple of shirts at Kohls today and they gave me Senior citizens discount. They didn't ask for ID. I am not old enough and while it was a nice discount, it made me sad to think they thought I was old enough. Now tell me, I am proud to be married for 31 years but upset about the senior citizen discount. You can never make me happy I guess. ;)

Good morning...it is 5:30 in the morning.....I woke up at 3:30 and couldn't go back to sleep so finally decided to get up.

It is cold this morning....26 degrees but we didn't get the snow they said we would.

Someone is coming out this morning to talk to us about putting in a new furnace and air.....it has been so hot the last few summers that you can hardly sleep at night.....

Not much else going on.....only about l2 days until first day of spring...not sure if it is the 21st or 22. I have Johnny jump-ups, pansies, crouses, and mini daffidols blooming. I need to get some seeds started in the greenhouse. My lupine plant is growing so fast that I need to pot it in a big pot. Love spring....

Good morning. Almost the weekend. I was so tired last night that I went to bed at 8:30, I slept the entire night so I feel so much better!!!!!

Sally, I should have called you being you were up anyway. I had a horrible night and really didn't sleep at all either. I am beat! Then on top of it all, I am having Stacey's family and Heidi and Chris over for dinner so I have to cook. I would rather take a nap instead of babysit! Then, I have to go to the dentist in 2 hours. Oh well, it will all keep me awake!

You don't HAVE to cook for us. We don't have to come over if you don't feel like it. Chris and I are good with making grilled cheese sandwiches tonight.

Good Morning

Haven't been posting much this week. Been busy. The heater in my house is not going to come on no matter how much begging and pleding I do. I called the repair guy and he will be out today. Yikes another unexpected expense. We of course did not have heat last night and it was sooooo cold this morning getting out of bed. Since I am having my Missionettes over for a sleep over Friday better get it fixed today.

Sandy-Sorry you had a bad night. I slept pretty good but boy do I have a headache today. I worked on wedding stuff all night and I guess it is bending over that is messing with my neck. I do have 5 of of 16 table arrangements done. 50 out of 150 napkin ring holders and the all the favors done except I still have to make the tags that go on them. I think I am going to make a 4 ft wreath to hand on the wall behind the bride and groom at the reception too.

Don't be silly Heidi. The tacoritos are already in cooking mode. See ya soon. Dinner at 6:00. Come anytime!!

Barb, sorry about the furnace. Barb, all I can say is WOW for the wedding things!

Well Mr heater fixer guy is coming at 4:00. I have an appointment with the chiropractor right after work. I hope it helps my neck.

Sandy-Heidi- We are having a graduation party Memorial day (May 29th) for Tiffany. I am giving you plenty of notice! would love it if you guys could come down. I am using PineCrest in Palmer Lake we are going to have a DJ and a buffet hope you can make it!

Oh my goodness Barb. How sweet. It sounds awesome. That might be difficult for us though as it is Heidi and Stacey's birthday that day. Will keep you posted. Hugs.

Hey all. It got warmer today, around 54, but it rained a lot. At least I didn't freeze outside.

Barb: I hate it when the furnace goes. I remember ours went when Kaleigh was like 3 months old. It was the coldest weather of the year and it was freezing in the house. We sat bundled up by the fire all day until the furnace guy came. Wouldn't it be fun if we could all get together and help make all your wedding favors?

Sandy: Too bad you didn't sleep well. Hope you are better. You could all go to Barb's graduation party and consider it a party for the girls as well!

Sally: We do have some tulips and daffodils poking through the ground. Maybe Spring will come afterall! I am itching to get out and turn my yard into something!

I forgot to say that the sweater I bought for Kaleigh was originally $35 and I got it for $10. I don't remember what the skirt was. I need to get to the resale store, but either haven't had time or felt up to it.

I made it through work today, barely. It is safe to say that I still need the vicodin. I picked up my x-rays. Kaleigh thought they were cool. I still need to make it through work tomorrow.

I am going to join curves anyway. For a bag of groceries, you can forgo the original fee and then just pay the monthly dues. Jerry went to the store this morning and bought some stuff. The last day to do this is Saturday. I will talk to the doctor about it tomorrow. If I can't join, then I will just give the food somewhere else.

I will let you know tomorrow evening how my doctors appointment went. I am sure I will be very symptomatic at tomorrow's appointment.

Denine, seems like you are putting in more hours at work lately. I bet it is hard being on your feet at work. I was on my feet all day and my back is killing me. Can't wait for Survivor so I have an excuse to SIT! I made carrot cake today out of baby food for Stacey's husband and Heidi's Chris. They share the same birthday and are a year apart. Weird, huh? Their birthdays are next Wednesday but we have a late afternoon appt so I decided today will be the celebration. Be careful joining Curves with your back! They do ask you all about your health so be truthful! They can help you design your workout. Hugs!

I heard that Faith made it through surgery ok. Haven't heard anything yet today.

Miss Julie, miss you.

Sandy: My back and curves is what I am concerend about which is why I will talk to the doctor tomorrow.

It only seems like I have been working more. I am still working every Friday with the occasional Thursday thrown in and I did call off last week.

So, how was the birthday carrot cake?

Julie, where are you?
