Did anyone else rebook onboard???

I arrived for the meet late because my kids were running around the ship so unfortunatly I did not get to meet many of you.

Thanks for all the tag goodies. It worked out pretty good but towards the end I still had 3 bags left so I had to run out and deliver them last minute

We're home! Just a quick thank you to everyone for your friendship and tag gifts - we have the CDs on to remind us of the cruise and am just removing the tattoos before tomorrow and school!

We got in last night, unpacked too. I am with everyone on the rocking and rolling. Such a weird feeling, sort of how I felt after the tequila tasting. Ryan lost his Nintendo DS bag with 5 games on board. Michele called the terminal and they don't have it, so they emailed the ship and hopefully it will come back to port next Saturday.

I don't how I got by today without my 4 course meal and pizza slices snack. Damn, the bed didn't get made today.

Hello all! We had a great time and I'm hoping everyone else did as well. This trip was a lot smoother than last year in terms of preparedness...but I believe that I prefer the Eastern cruise. It felt very rushed at times, which concerns me because my husband booked our next cruise-the 11 night Med.-and we're stopping a lot on that one! The two of us are excited...but I think the kids will be sad to get onto the Magic without stopping at Castaway Cay!

So, did anyone fill in their "wow" moment on the survey and want to share what it was?

Mine was realizing that my husband and I were sharing our love of travel with our children at such an early time in all of our lives, and just being swept up in gratefulness.

we are just getting home now. 2 am Monday Morning. Drove straight down and drove straight back, with some shopping stops.
We re=booked the western for next Oct 3rd, this time with all our kids....8 in total, in three staterooms.........We are on the Woinder this Feb 8th, and will re-book an eastern then.
Had a blast.....sad it is over but happy to be home.
Hey, someone is in my stateroom and probably ordering room service right now!!!

Hi Everyone!!! WOW!! What a great trip! First off....thank you..... thank you .....thank you .....to everyone who played tag and for all those wonderful goodies! I know it didn't work out perfectly...we had several goodies without magnets and one magnet without a goodie (probably taken by some mischiefous kids or something) but it was so much fun! We really enjoyed meeting all of you! I was hoping to arrange another meet on our final days at sea but it just didn't happen! We did re-book for another western in Oct 2010. Same week and room number as this one. We were hoping for an eastern (as we agree we like the Eastern better as well.) but the week our kids are on break only a western was available. As for the land sickness....I am not noticing it as much as I did on our first cruise. As long as I am mobile I don't notice it at all, but if I sit still I notice it! Well my daycare kids have all arrived at my door, and I have a ton of laundry to do..so I better get back into the swing of things. For those of us who re-booked we should keep this thread going in case any of us end up on the same cruise!

Hey Lynne....how'd you manage to snag Shaunie for a photo on Castaway Cay? I'm not sure I have any photographic evidence that Autumn was even on the island! She went off with Ocean Quest and we never saw her again...

I just spent about two hours going through photos. I love digital! I do have some disposable cameras that I will have to take in for processing today. I want to do it right away so I don't forget to do it.

Jim...I really hope they find Ryan's Nintendo stuff. So far I haven't noticed anything missing. (Thank God). The photo stuff would be the real bummer, though. Video games, albeit pricey, can be replaced. I hope the memory card shows up.

I've unpacked about 4 of our 12 or 13 suitcases. I've been taking it really easy today. We all got colds onboard. I started "trying" to be sick last Tuesday!

Autumn was green with seasickness most of the trip and wound up losing weight...her clothes are hanging on her. I, on the other hand....

I am planning to write more, but I need to finally take a shower. It's 12:20 pm here and I think I need to get my day started.

We got in around 9 pm last night and stopped for milk on the way home. Because I have a loyalty card on my keychain, I took my keys in with me and wound up leaving them at the store. So, I have to get my butt in gear and drive back there and get them!

We came home to wet snow! Ugggh.

Thanks to everyone for the tag gifts...you were all awesome. After going back a few pages on the board, I realized there were many of you that posted regularly that I never got to meet. Some of you I saw all the time. DiMitch and family seemed to be everywhere we were. LOL. We also saw Melissa and Arthur all the time, too.

Okay....I REALLY need to go now....I'll write more later.

I am on a roll now, this a good picture as well, I have to laugh at myself, for ten years when I weighed over19 stone I have no photos of myself for 10 years nearly, now It is take my picture,take my picture! I drive them nuts!! In more ways than one mind you!

Gee...I have that same picture. That was a fun night.

I know what you mean....did you look in windows at your reflection a lot after you lost the weight? I did....I KNOW people thought I was very vain. OK, who am I kidding....I still do it. While I've gotten used to the new me, every once in a while I still do a double-take and think..."Wow! That is really me."

I'm having scale shock right now, though. WAY too many DOTDs....the two for one special I happened up on on Castaway Cay while I was lamenting the rain didn't help either. Those darn drinks pack serious calories! But, the drinks did make me feel better about the rain and the $40+ I wound up paying for Mariah's hair braiding....that's a WHOLE different story for another day.

What great photos you guys! Lynn I was hoping to get to spend more time with you and Len on board, but we hardly saw each other...guess cause of the different dinner times. I'll have to get some photos of our group on Pirate night....what a hoot! Roger actually had a little kid ask for his autograph...it was to funny! I think the only people who saw us were the cyndid group!

Okay...it's 1:30 here and I still haven't showered (TMI?). I think I need to do that before Autumn gets home from school. Poor kids....they had to get up and go to school today, while I took an additional day off from work.

Diane - Frank was so impressed with your costumes. He told me that Roger (did I remember that right? I remembered he wasn't Mitch. lol Sorry to your DH in advance if I screwed it up.) was the spitting image of one of the characters from Pirates of the Caribbean (can't remember the name). No wonder someone asked for his autograph. LOL.

It's funny. We missed you at the pool, but wound up seeing you everywhere onboard.

Autumn says that she hardly ever saw Kayla at Ocean Quest...didn't she like the clubs? It seemed Autumn lived there. Our server told us after she went AWOL from dinner about halfway through the cruise, that he was going to tie her to the chair next time she showed up. We were fine with it. She was having a fabulous time.

It was nice that someone else we had met on the ship told us that she had seen Autumn getting in the elevator witha bunch of kids. She told us that it looked like Autumn had gotten in with a very nice group of kids and was having a good time. (I was waiting for the..."Gee they were loud." Or, "What a rowdy bunch of kids." So, the alternative was very nice to hear.)

I think you can tell I'm having cruise withdrawals....I seem to be living here on this board this afternoon. I'm happy to announce that I did get my shower and got two more suitcases unpacked...all before Autumn got home from school.

What I'm procrastinating from is making my grocery list and going shopping. I just had to pour myself into my only pair of jeans....actually my only pair of long, non-dressy pants. I'm having a hard time breathing. I wonder if Frank thinks my heavy breathing has something to do with him. I'm imagining myself waddling, stopping to breathe heavy, waddling, grabbing a can off the shelf, waddling, stopping to breathe heavy and thereby turning my standard 1.5 hour shopping trip into a 4 hour marathon.

Funny thing....after eating a normal breakfast and a normal lunch, I have already lost .8 pounds. I have only 5.2 pounds to go.

That is too funny Cyndi...I myself did manage several of those drinks of the day! I imagine we are all having cruise withdrawal! I know I've actually been thinking about starting a thread for our Next one in OCT 2010! AM I CRAZY OR WHAT??? Our previous cruise Kayla spent the whole time in the clubs or ocean quest, but this time she pretty much just hung around with her sister. Alyssa didn't feel like she fit into the teen club so I think Kayla felt sorry for her...but also we are blessed that our kids actually like spending time with us. They ate every meal with us....attended every evening show with us, and all shore excursions..

As for Roger's costume....we were trying for the jack sparrow look but he ended up being the spittin image of Barbosa much to his disgust!

Barbosa...yep, that's the one. Poor Roger.

We got some great photos. I'm uploading to Photobucket right now. My eventual goal is to do some sort of trip report, but I DO have to go back to work tomorrow. We had a message on our phone while we were gone that the girls have a dentist appointment tomorrow. So much for a FULL day back to work. I will have to leave around 3 pm. Fortunately, neither will miss school for it. I suppose it is good that I am the boss and can leave at will. The downside is that it just means I have to get to work earlier, and then work in the evening, too...just to catch up. I busted my BUTT before we left, though, to get a little jump on things. There are some important time specific things I have to take care of, though.

BTW...I went over to your photobucket (I hope you don't mind) and found the picture of Autumn and Kayla. I don't have one of the two of them, so it's great that you posted it. Autumn was all..."AWWWWW," when I showed it to her.
