Wow, it's getting sooo close now.
As the temperture getting chilly today (60's now), summer is disappearing quickly here.
I am so looking forward to a warm Caribbean beaches!

Yep, cold here in New Brunswick, Canada too. 62 F (17 C)
I haven't posted much but have been reading your threads. You guys sure are informative.

Snag yesterday. Our return flight was changed by Delta. We emailed them about transporting a medical piece of equipment. They never did answer our questions but changed our retun flight. Had us on a connecting flight while we would have still been in the air coming from MCO. Be sure to check your flight info carefully.

Suitcases - taking an extra one for those extra purchases. Last year DS (27 then) and I did the land and sea. At the airport our suitcase was over weight limit. Poor DS was hauling our undies out and stuffing them everywhere. I was of no help to him because I was nearly on the floor laughing.

Can't wait to meet you all and enjoy that beautiful carribean breeze.

Wow.. I was up at 5:30am and it was over 80 degree's here and expected to be in the 100's through the weekend.

I am looking forward to the "cool" caribbean breeze and beaches.

I second that about bringing extra baggage even though we don't fly to Florida when we go, so the weight isn't the issue. You would think my husband wouldn't question the wisdom of this practice since we've traveled together many times and he's seen the usefulness of extra bags, but the first time we cruised he grumbled about the unnecessary bulk. Of course, he ate those words when it was time to pack on the last day of the cruise and we had towels, t-shirts, booze, trinkets and other souvenirs. I also bring large and small ziploc bags for the things that can spill or that didn't dry in time.

The fall hasn't sent its forerunners to our part of Maryland yet. It's not that cool at night yet and today, it was hot and muggy. I'm okay with that even though my hair isn't okay with it. LOL

Dh is making noises again about camping out on the drive to Florida. Oh, no!

I am so sorry. Camping is fun when you don't have to rush to take down the tent and then trying to set it up in the dark after a long day of driving.

Chilly here in PA too - and now rainy, just in time to go out to dinner. Sure is different weather than 10 years ago today when we got married. Better now than then!

I may have to consider that extra suitcase idea. Our one large suitcase weighs so much empty, that it's almost always overweight. I really don't like it, but just try to pack lighter in that one. The other large one is fine. Another packing trick that I've done now - We take full size bottles of toiletries, but when they only have enough left in them to last for the trip. Any little bit left I just get rid of - still cheaper than buying travel sizes & saves me space coming home. I also duct tape closed all the bottles, then put them in ziploc bags. I hate having to put that stuff in the checked bag - used to carry it all on so it wouldn't leak. So far, nothing has leaked/opened up being taped shut. I take the tape w/ me in case I do need it for anything coming back home.

Speaking of toiletries - has anyone used the shampoo or body wash on the ship? How is it? I'm debating to just use that instead of bringing mine.

The ship has the Spa line of H2O products (better than the line in their hotels) The shampoo, conditioner and lotion are heavenly! I liked them so much I order them online. I don't think they provide body wash or shower gel, just Mickey soap!

I agree! The shampoo, conditioner, and lotion are all fabulous!!! I'm planning to save the packing space and use the H2O products provided by DCL.

Angie, we are going to be at the MK late on Thursday for MNSSHP and then planned to be at EPCOT on Friday, so we will have to pass. But we do plan to see you at the Port on Saturday morning.
