Hi All,

I am finally able to join this group as I have convinced my DH to take this cruise. Although I have planned this out more than a year ago secretly, (well, it started more like 5 years ago..)I wasn't sure if my DH would say OK. I wanted to make sure that our air has been purchased, pre-night hotel is booked, and most importantly, this cruise will be paid in full before I want to join this group. And here I am, I am going on this cruise officially!

It will be me,(36), DH(38) DS(5) &DD(3). Our first trip on DCL. I have learned so much from this board, and feels like I have been on it already.

I am soooo excited and counting my days!

Welcome!! My kids are of similar age but swapped (DD 5, DS 3)... Sure I'll see you at the Mickey Pool and kids club!

I think, if you don't mind, I might like to come and visit you in your room one day while we are at sea. I would like to see what the view is like because deck 2 is what I'm thinking... It sounds fabulous!

Question for those of you discussing Southwest creidt....how does one qualify for such a credit?

Go luck and you will have to tell us all how you are doing-- remember Pixie Dust goes along way in making your dreams come true. I know you will find that happiness and the right soul mate just keep believe in Pixie Dust.

Question for those of you discussing Southwest creidt....how does one qualify for such a credit?

If you book a flight on Southwest and the fare goes down, you can "rebook" the same flights at the lower fare, thus earning you credit to use toward future flights. No penalties for changes either. The credit is only good for one year from the date of issue, but still, it's better than any other airline offers.

81 days until the cruise

That is what the new DCL website tells me. For those on the 75 day booking, please make sure you go out to the new DCL site to get yourself familar with it and how to book the reservations, because the look and feel is a bit different.

One bummer about the new site is I can no longer see my dining selection (MAIN or 2nd) or my flight information that I loaded. I guess my TA is the only one that can see it now.

If you go to the My Reservation tab on the left and then click on the View Details link right under the number of days left until the cruise you should be able to see more details of your reservation. One of those is your dining preference. I did not make flight plans through Disney so I am not sure if they would show up there too or not.

Hi!! I am hoping one of you may be able to help me. I am currently booked on a Jan Eastern. I don’t really want to wait that long and I can take one more person in a second cabin for the same price as one cabin and four people in Jan.

My question is how do the Polo, daycare (we have a 4mo and 1 ½ yr), and excursions look for resies? I know I have a chance of booking on board but our last cruise I had it all booked online and am uncertain how the resies look. I would hate to move it up and miss Polo and a good excursion. We were looking at the Boatswain’s Adventure Park in Grand Cayman and the Xcaret Eco tour in Cozumel. I won’t be able to book for 3 weeks when I get my school schedule to make sure we don’t go during college midterms.

[Which means I should probably stick with Jan but with two babies in a year Dh and I could really use a vacation. no cooking, cleaning, sun, fun and just great family time to connect with each other. DS 11yr could also use it but he won't be able to make the Jan trip only an Oct trip. Poor guy being invaded be two little siblings. That sounds reasonable, right? Well that’s my spiel for DH and teachers! ]

Dale - Unfortunately I don't have the View Details link under the number of days left. I believe that is because I booked via a travel agent. I did contact her and she is able to see my flight (Which we booked seperately and added into their system, because there was a button to add it when you did online checkin) and our dining.

But I did complete our check in 100%. Now just need to print and sign the forms for our Cruise in 81 days!!!!!!!!

Now I have to figure out how to get from the Disney Resort to the Port. No Angie... I still haven't made that reservation yet.

I think the excursions you picked will not fill up so quickly, but you should not count on picking Palo's in 3 weeks time, you would have to wait until you board to get Palo's. Because in 6 days everyone can start booking their reservations. Which I hear is not a bad thing to book on board for Palo's and generaly people can get a reservation, just might not get their first choice day or time.

Hello everybody! I survived the surgery! This is Tuesday night at almost 9pm here. My surgery was Monday morning. I think they got started around 8 am. I do have pain, but it is very managable with the medications. If I am still, sitting, or lying on the couch, I feel good. Getting up or down is painful, but once I get where I am going... it's ok. I go Thursday to have staples and drains removed. I haven't looked yet. I'm not mentally ready. I will be by thursday.

Thanks for all the well wishers out there! I really appreciate it! I have stayed busy with texting and cell phone.. just now getting to a little email...

I want to welcome the new members of our cruise threaad. I see we are expanding! Fabulous to see you all here!! I am headed back to the couch to settle in for the night. I'm walking like the hunchback!! I still have my sense of humor though! Talk to you all again soon!!

Hi all!
Well we are back from our month vacation in Dallas and Orlando. Had a wonderful time and loved our Royal Caribbean cruise!! Not saying it is better than Disney but just different. We are paid in full and made some reservations for excursions and Palo - well Jeanne did as I was in the middle of the ocean!!
Back to so much work - a former pupil wants me to write his University reference like yesterday and I have an essay to write, photos to download and a trip report to write - think I need another vacation! Will try to catch up with the posts but wanted to welcome missusem to Aberdeen!
