How do you like the new DIsney Cruise website.. I've not gotten around to navigating a lot through it.. but anyone else with thoughts? I've seen some comments about it being difficult.. and some of you have said things too.. anyone else? tips to share, etc. let us know..

We booked Florida Tours from the resort to the ship then back to the airport. Any suggestions on ideal pick up time? I need to go to one of the parks on Saturday morning and pick up my birthday gift card before we leave!

Hello everybody! I survived the surgery! This is Tuesday night at almost 9pm here. My surgery was Monday morning. I think they got started around 8 am. I do have pain, but it is very managable with the medications. If I am still, sitting, or lying on the couch, I feel good. Getting up or down is painful, but once I get where I am going... it's ok. I go Thursday to have staples and drains removed. I haven't looked yet. I'm not mentally ready. I will be by thursday.

Thanks for all the well wishers out there! I really appreciate it! I have stayed busy with texting and cell phone.. just now getting to a little email...

I want to welcome the new members of our cruise threaad. I see we are expanding! Fabulous to see you all here!! I am headed back to the couch to settle in for the night. I'm walking like the hunchback!! I still have my sense of humor though! Talk to you all again soon!!

Hi, Penny! I've been out of town for a few days or I would have wished you well or bugged you on facebook chat. I hope you are taking it easy. I know you are a grown up and don't need to hear that, but I know A LOT of reconstructive surgery patients and the ones who take their recuperation seriously benefit and the ones who don't almost always suffer. Don't you have your mom with you? I can't remember if you wrote that or not. Is she making you take it easy? Are you drinking plenty of water?

Well we are back from our month vacation in Dallas and Orlando. Had a wonderful time and loved our Royal Caribbean cruise!! Not saying it is better than Disney but just different.

I like it just fine. I didn't use it bring up my reservation but I did re-price the cruise to see if there was a price difference. I found the site easy to navigate. The only thing that bothered me was I couldn't figure out how to shut off the music.

As for the website, I like it so far. I have been on it only a couple of times and haven't had any problems... the graphics are nicer.

Good question about the watches. I still have one, in its box, from a few years ago. I don't know why I got it since none of us wears a watch.

Hey, I am not opposed to hearing advice! I welcome any tips and trcks!. I have taken my recovery very seriously, and I believe that is one reason why I have done so well. My friend who had this procedure done last year, well, let's just say she did some things that the doctor would have flipped out about if he had known. And she wonders why she felt is was the most painful thing, EVER! I haven't really had pain... I guess I would mostly call it moderate discomfort. But If I can lay down, I feel great. My mom has beenstaying with me, and probably will finish out the week, at least, since I can't take care of the big dogs... I'm off to the Dr. now to hopefully have staples and drains removed! Check back in a few hours!!

Actually I think I like it. I wish they showed Dining if you are booked with a travel agent and my airline information that I put in there myself. But I really haven't found anything that makes it a bad system. Seems to be more intuitive and user friendly. I haven't heard the "music" because I keep my laptop speaker off. Too many instant message pings from work if I have it on. which might wake me up.

Welcome to the thread. Are you thinking about registering as username Mrs_frndofpooh? I bet no one has that name yet. I can't say I'm anxious for the summer to be over. We don't have any early morning commitments outside of taking care of the chickens, and that can wait until at least 9:00am. Things are much more laid back here over the summer. We don't do as much schoolwork although I do have to start thinking about our school planning for the fall, and all the extracurricular activities except for Mathcounts and Boy Scouts cease for the summer.

Glad to hear that you are recovery, and also very glad that you are listening to the doctors you will recover faster. Can't wait to the see the results on the cruise. Think about the pixie dust and how great you will feel.

I am jealous wish I wasn't afraid to have it done.

I must be weird because the idea of surgery doesn't bother me in the least. Neither does parking my body on the couch for most of two weeks with medication for the pain and books for my mind while I recover.

I just wanted to raise a cheer for the 75-day bookers! We have almost made it!

Also, in regards to the new cruise website, the thing I like is how you can put in a stateroom number and see where it is from the top view and side view of the ship. It really helped me to put things in perspective, as far as where our stateroom will be located.

Now, let's everyone stay healthy and NOT catch some stupid flu virus (N1H1 or otherwise)!

ok, I am trying not to panic as I head into the weekend and the 75 day deadline approaches on Monday...

I contacted my TA on Wednesday and authorized her to charge the balance of the trip to my credit card. She says she did it yesterday (Thursday). I contacted her to see if she would send me an email receipt for that paid in full transaction. She tells me that I should see on the DCL page for my reservation that it is paid in full. I don't see that anywhere. Then she tells me to contact the credit card company, which I just did. They tell me the transaction is pending and could take several days to post...that it is something on the Disney end that has to be done to finalize the transaction.

Ok...this is all making me start to panic. I guess I should have taken care of paying the balance earlier but I was double and triple checking that it was all ok for my husband to leave work at that time (long story). So...when we knew for sure we were ok I contacted the TA, never thinking it would be an issue several days before the payment due date.

Waiting to hear back from the TA...trying not to PANIC!!!!
