Even when i tried to book at 90 days last year, Palo brunches were booked and there were very few dinner ressies left... Mybe it is because it is only on at sea days... maybe they have a smaller window... maybe it is fabulous food... or all of it! :rotfl: i will try my darndest to get one this year! Since I am on 2nd shift now... staying up that late is not a problem! :3dglasses

PS
Do we have a completed graphic yet? I'd like to make a magnet...

Penny -- not sure if you're try to make sure you get in at midnight when Reservations open and hopefully you'll get a chance!! :) From reading here, it seems many people wait at the first opportunity to book at midnight Eastern..! Good luck babe!!

We never have eaten at Palo's before, but we may actually get a chance on this cruise! Just torn on what dinner night to skip. My wife is thinking about skipping the night at Parrot Cay. My thought was to still go since we had early seating and get the kids fed - maybe eat a little ourselves - then hit Palo's later that night :0)

Pete

Yeah, Pete! Not that you asked my opinion, but I'm with your wife on skipping your regular dinner time - not just because she's a woman and I'm woman and I'm one to take sides ( ;) ) . In our experience, it's a good idea to have a big appetite for Palo. Skipping dinner works for us because we try to get our reservation for just before sunset, and that starts about an hour and half after main seating. Of course, if you're planning to go to Palo later in the evening, that's a different story.

Can I just ask my cruise thread peeps if they have t-shirt making experience? I had some trouble with my first one and need advice....

I still had paper stuck to it that would not come off and after 2 washings, it appears that my design is cracking

Sue,

I'm usually up til around 12:30 or 1am now on most nights. Keep your fingers crossed for a brunch reservation for me!

I enjoy Dinner there, would really hope to get this experience, as well! :wizard:

Hey Yazee,

Thanks for the feedback! I was curious what others thought on just skipping the rotation dinner and heading over to Palos. Now I just need to know what our rotation schedule is. I bet having dinner in Palo's at sunset is very nice.

Hope all my fellow Americans on the board are having a great 4th of July!

Thanks,
Pete

HI Pete!

We thought that the fourth night is a good Palo night since our rotations are going to repeat the third night on the fourth night (so something like APL L APL)... so that's the restaurant you get to eat in 3 times if you see what I mean.... also we didn't want to miss the Golden Mickeys (3rd), Pirate (5th night) or Captain's Gala Dinner (6th night)....

Remember the shows onboard are typically at 6.15 and 8.30pm so if you don't want to miss the Disney ones - Golden Mickeys (3rd), Twice Charmed (4th), Disney Dreams (6th), Till we meet again (7th), then you just plan your dining times for Palo accordingly. The shows are an hour long :)...

:) Just my 2 cents though.. :)... I agree about the dinner at sunset.. I'd be toooooo nervous to enjoy my dinner about my girlie if we left her at the club late.. still not used to the idea...

(that is, if all goes as planned and no itinerary changes happen..)....

Hi everyone!
I just wanted to post to let you guys know that we have cancelled out cruise. Its a long story and it makes me so upset to even write this. I will explain things when we have them sorted out. Im really hoping to rebook, but its not looking very promising right now.

Thanks Sue that is helpful information. I think we will be looking at the 4th night as well.

Hey All,

FYI, just spoke with one of the snorkel charters in the Grand Cayman, and they said there is only one other ship besides the Magic scheduled to be in port on the 20th. That should hopefully make for a less crowded visit.

My DW is really excited about visiting Grand Caymans.

Thanks,
Pete

Kim :grouphug: Sorry that you had to cancel. It is disappointing, but take care of things that need to be taken care of.

Sue - Thanks for all the information on Palo's Definately when you look at things your choice of the 4th night seems be the best, so that you don't miss any of the shows are special nights. Our DD7 is going to be so disappointed that she can not go, but give her time with goofy and the friends she will meet on the ship, she will be happy. If you see us in the dining rooms, she is the most adventures eater. She has already said she wants to try Escargo and will be ordering the duck.

Penny - If you look at a few of our signatures, you will see the graphic. I am not sure who finally finished what we have now... I think Angie (Mommyto5) or Pete (Thedawnpatrol), were the artist. For the T-Shirts, go to the Just for Fun boards and there is a Creative sesion that they have posts on how to do T-Shirts. I also ask there for any speciality designs for magnets. I have a couple from a previous cancelled cruise that were generic enough, that I can use this cruise.

Ok.. I am going to head out to the pool. It is just too darn hot!

Laura -- that's really cool that you have an adventurous eater.. mine shies away from saucey foods... so funny to watch..

Are you on early dining??

:sad1: I am very sorry to hear this bad news.

QOTD: What's YOUR idea of a perfect day?

That's a hard one. I've tried to answer this before and I can't come up with a specific setting, cast or agenda. Maybe, a perfect day is defined by how you feel at the end of the day you've had. Any day when I go to bed that night feeling like I've spent the day well is as close to perfect as I can think of.

Sue - we are on late dining with wait listed for early.

I tried to think of the answer for the QOTD. I really don't have an answer. I agree with Monica. I think it is when you can go to bed and fall asleep without having your mind racing with the day events and worrying about the situations.

Laura

QOTD: Share with us the wonderful things about the place where you live :).

Tucson - Great Restaurants, Beautiful views, Nice resorts, Canyon Ranch, Sabino Canyon, Saquaro National Park, Monsoon (Terrific lightening storms in the Summer, we get all of our day's rain pretty much in one dump), 360 days of Sunshine. Winters are very mild.
