Wow - One month:banana:

I've been sooo tied up this week that this is the first chance I've had to look at this site - you have all been busy posting! I have to catch back up. Thanks for posting the letter - since we used AAA to book the cruise, I think I'm still a bit away from getting my tags. I'll have to print out the letter & tell the kids about it tonight. Planning on ordering my baskets from Shirley tomorrow, although some of the Halloween stuff looks cool. I've already narrowed down what I want though. So excited but getting that nervous feeling in my tummy about all that I want to do between now & then!

Yeah! We got our tags and the Halloween letter as well. Our tags are bright green, my daughter thought they looked spooky for Halloween! My guys are bringing their Halloween customers to MK for the MNSSHP, so they will be even more excited to be able to wear them on the cruise.

1 Month left, how cool is that!!

One month - I agree, very cool. Personally, I won't let myself get excited about the cruise until we're down in Florida. I'm not a pessimist but it's just how I am. The first time I went to England, as an exchange student in college, I would not believe it was really going to happen until we landed at Gatwick airport. Same thing when I got married and when any of my kids were born. I don't count on anything I want to happenin until it does.

The rest of the family, they are another story. Our children are really starting to show their excitement. Middle ds daydreams aloud about ordering room service in the middle of the night, having donuts at breakfast, and eating ice cream poolside. You think there's a theme in these musings? And, of course, he can't wait to go to the Lab. DD is thrilled to be going to the Lab, too but she doesn't seem as fixated on what she's going to eat. Oldest ds isn't one to talk about his expectations but I know he's really looking forward to relaxing and just having fun in the teen program. All three kids work hard around here, but he works the hardest. As much as he does around here, Dh and I will be very happy to let him do pretty much what he wants the whole time as long as it doesn't include running a tab!

What are your children, significant others, and other travel companions looking forward to the most?

Hi.. I just checked UPS and tracked by reference with our DCL confirmation number and my tags shipped 9/15 and they are expected to be in Tucson on 9/18 (Not going to the travel agent!!!!). Last place seen was Kentucky.

Great trick/tip!! Just checked mine & got realllllly excited when the first thing I saw was the word "delivered". But, then I saw it was delivered to Trenton, NJ, which I believe is where the AAA office is since one of their #'s does have a 609 area code, which is Jersey:sad2: Now I have to wait - hopefully not too long though! It's at least nice to know they're only about 45 mins from my house now!

Tags and docs here in Ohio, too! Doin the doc dance :cool1:

Should just let this die, but not my nature ;) We prepaid our FSC, and were hoping for the OBC. Doesn't appear as though it will happen. That's ok. Alan, I hope it doesn't come down to you having to make that decision. I would be absolutely heartbroken on embarkation day knowing if I would have paid the extra I'd be on the ship and not off. We've been planning and anticipating this vacation for so long, I couldn't stand to miss it! Good luck to everyone and their situation!!!!

As far as the fuel surcharge goes, I posted in the main forum and here is what I got for responses:

The general idea is that DCL so far has not approached people for additional money after final payment was made, and the cast member who adjusted mine off the res probably shouldn't have. Since they did, though, and my final payment was already made, I should be in the clear. People who booked before they added it should also be in the clear. People who had it included when they made final payment are out of luck (assuming oil is over $70).

Well I am not looking forward to anything Halloween. I am not a fan of the holiday. As a matter of fact, I think it is my second least favorite holiday, for three reasons. The firs, because I take my baseball way to seriously. What I mean is the Great Dodger, Duke Snyder once said, "I hate halloween because the colors of the day are Orange and Black." Well the Giants are Orange and Black, and I hate nothing more in the baseball world than the Giants. SO I am not a fan of anything that I can associate the Giants to. I know a little extreme but that is just me. Second, I have never liked dressing up and pretending to be something I am not. Must be why I have never been interested in acting. The third, I better keep to myself, as I do not want to get anyone upset with me.

Wow! That is so smart. I would never have thought of it. Now I know mine are due to arrive tomorrow. Thanks so much for easing my mind!

If it's why we don't "do" Halloween either, I can understand your reluctance. Some people have taken our decision to abstain from certain things as a judgment on their participation in those same things. That's not usually the case, though.

Just want to throw out, the third reason has no religous meaning what so ever. I do not know what what yours is, but I am going to put is out there because I do not want to start that type of stir. I feel it teaches children to beg for things. I was brought up that you need to earn things. Trick or Treating, in my eyes, teaches begging. If we do ever have kids Halloween is one thing I will never let them do.

Wow, I didn't know you could do this! I tried it just now, and I see our documents must have gone to the travel agent. They're listed as delivered, but they aren't here at the house.

Oh, okay. No, our reason isn't the same. I'm glad you shared your reason, though. I never thought of it that way. I learned something new.
