HAPPY BIRTHDAY - MICHELLE!!!!! :cake: :bday: :cake:

Wishing you a great day...and doc's in the mail as a bonus present.

We are also - DOCless...i feel like the lady in the "Mervyns" commercial – standing outside waiting to be allowed in – saying “OPEN – OPEN – OPEN”
Kevin walks to the mailbox each afternoon – saying, “DOCS – DOCS – DOCS’. maybe today = looking forward in doing the  document dance

take good care all.....kevin

Hmm... so much to cover.

First, Happy Birthday Michelle! I hope it is a great one. No reason not to look forward to celebrating every birthday - it's better than the alternative! I have to admit I'm not really looking forward to my birthday this year, but not because of the age thing - because it's the day we disembark from our cruise!!! I hope your co-workers aren't being sneaky because they've hired a stripper for you! I'm just cringing at the thought of the potential sexual harassment lawsuits over that one (sorry Nancy).

Second, no docs here yet either. I booked directly with DCL. Boo hoo. I'm halfway convinced they already arrived and DH sorted them directly into the recycling bin like he does with so much of my other mail. Guess I'll have to do a dumpster dive when I get home...

Finally... Schlong Man... Definitely NOT going to warn dear Gran about that. I can't even imagine the conversation in which I would have to explain the name. Oh dear. Double oh dear.

princess:HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHELLE!!!! princess:

Hope you have a Magical Day!
:bday:

:rockband:
da, da, da,da, da, da You say its your birthday, da da da da da da
well its my birthday too yah!

I asked Coleen @ MouseEars on why Docs are printed at different times etc - why some people get their docs alot sooner than others - she said that when she calles Disney, she get the standard answer of ...we dont print docs until 14 days prior to the cruise....which isnt true obviously - especially since my DBIL rec'd his yesterday (booked thru DVC) and he was gloating :)

Oh well - just have to have patience - at least its only 37 days away!! :goodvibes

Paige...someone got smart and thought that one out here at work. No stripper for our Birthday Boy!! His kids took him out to lunch instead. Much better idea...I think!! :goodvibes

:goodvibes :cake: They just had a party for me here at work....They sent me to pick up work and when I got back they had picnic theme party set up for me. We had fried chicken, sandwiches, pasta salad, baked beans and Chocolate cake!! :goodvibes

Oh yes and fresh lemonade. They spoil me! I got a really great dress for the cruise..Very Carribean and flirty...It will be a fun dress to wear to Parrott Cay. Then I wanted these reallly cute Espardilla sandals from the Newport Catalog and they all talked me out of ordering them the other.. Well it is because they bought them for me! So cute. Love them. They go with another dress for my trip and the one they bought me. Ok I am sure you are all tired of hearing about me presents. Anyway it has been a great Birthday. Documents would be the ultimate surprise! :cloud9:

Don't think that will happen though...Gia I guess you talked to Colleen and are Docs are not coming..Oh well we still have time.

Thanks again guys for all the Birthday wishes...I feel so loved! :grouphug:

:bday: :cake: Happy Birthday Michelle!!!! :cake: :bday:

Sounds like your having a great birthday.

2 things...

1st - We booked through Dreams Unlimited

&

2nd - I would just like to thank Paul because now I can't get that tune out of my head!!!!! :earseek:

Oh, and my DS's surprise was almost spoiled when he opened the doc's and almost saw granny's packet. He still has no clue she's coming. I had to tell him that it was an extra packet in case we messed up filling out the forms.

I just had to say thanks Paul. You got a smile and a chuckle out of me. :)
Loved the music! Oh, and congrat's on the doc's. :goodvibes

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
They're here!!!! Our docs came this afternoon. Happy day!

Happy birthday, Michelle! Sounds like you work with a great group of people! :flower:

Paige...LOL...I get your screen name, now!!! :earboy2:

Sara

Happy Birthday, Michelle! :cake: :mickeybar

Wow, it looks like the docs are really rolling in now! I'm still in shock that so many of us have gotten them this early!

Oh, and for all of those with Paul's "Everybody Dance Now" stuck in your head, here is the cure: Just hum "It's a Small World" to yourself a couple of times, and it'll clear that previous song right out of your head. Of course, the cure may be worse than the disease... :teeth: :rotfl2:

I think in the coming days leading up to embarkarkation I will post a stick in your brain song everyday.... so you have to sing It's a Small World each night before bed :sunny:

anybody do the Cha Cha Slide y'all?
two steps.. two steps

From what I remember seeing in previous threads, there usually is football on TV, without the commercials... so yes, Kathy there is a peyton... :rotfl2:

Actually, I am not the Colts fan. I do happen to like Peyton though. He went to my college. :)

Hey guys! I don't want to spark a five page drama on the main DCL board about what to wear on a cruise. I really only care about what you guys think about what to wear since you're the ones who will have to see me on the ship so I was hoping you could help me with a couple of clothing questions...

1) What do you wear during the day when hanging around the ship - going to the movies and shows, eating lunch, etc.? Are t-shirts and shorts okay or do I need to be dressier?

2) Is a denim skirt acceptable for dinner? I know DCL says jeans are okay, but many people still think that is too casual and I would prefer to be as conservative as I can. Is a denim skirt (knee length) considered as casual as jeans? It would be worn with a nice tunic top.

3) How formal are women on formal night? Will I be okay in a knee-length satin dress? How do women distinguish between formal and semi-formal night?

4) Is there dry cleaning available on board? I would really love to be able to wear the same dress for formal and semi-formal nights with perhaps a different wrap or jacket or something, but if I get it dirty on formal night, I'd hate to be stuck without a dress... I guess I can always bring my dryel bag and dryel sheets.

Hi Paige,
To address your ?'s w/ my opinion... :)

1) What I wore around the day mostly was a swimsuit. We ate @ topsiders for lunch a couple x's. You can wear your swimsuit or like I did. A cover-up over my swim suit. My Dh, a t-shirt & trunks in topsiders. When we ate in the dinning room for lunch we wore shirt & shorts. It is very casual during the day & you wil see many many people in t-shirt & shorts in the dinning room @ lunch. For movies & shows? again, shirt & shorts or capris. It gets cold in the theaters so you might feel more comfortable in capris & sweater/light jacket. We even brought a blanket from our room in the movie theater. Again, it get's chilly. :cold:

2) Denim skirt is totally fine @ dinner & you will not feel out of place. :)

3) You will fit in, in your satin dress. Some people are very very formal & some people are church dressy & I have even seen casual. Would I wear casual? No, but I would wear church dressy & I wouldn't look down on anyone who decided to go casual. :earsgirl:

4) Yes, they have dry cleaning & If I remember correctly it isn't an outrageous price. Just let your room host/ess know, fill out a slip of paper that they give you & your host/ess will pick it up & return it for you. The "charge" will go on your room bill/charge that you pay at the end of the cruise. :sunny:

Thanks Jen! I'm trying to minimize the amount of stuff I pack and I figured the denim skirt could be good with a t-shirt for putzing around during the day and okay at dinner with cute sandals and a nice top. Unfortunately, I just don't have a ton of cute maternity cruisewear options and I can't see spending a fortune on loads of new clothes, including two formal/semi-formal maternity dresses that I will likely never wear again (I already have the satin dress from a wedding I had to attend when pregnant with DS - bought on eBay for $10 - I LOVE eBay).

For a moment there I forgot you were pregnant.
You should absolutely be fine which I am sure others here will re-assure you. :) As far as "trying" to pack light. (Trying being the operative word in my case). ;) I totally here you! And when you are pregnant you don't want to spend a lot of money on clothes that you won't be wearing much in the future. Of course that all depends on how many pregnancies you want... :rotfl:

I have been on the Wonder twice and in the day time we always had our swimsuits on with cover ups. I got a couple really cute coverups this year to bring. Or I slipped on just loose summer dresses over my swimsuit. Very casual all day long.
I also would wear a jean skirt. I am brining mine.
Heck you are on vacation! :sunny:

I do have one formal that I am bringing, but it is not tooo fancy. :goodvibes My Best friend is wearing something less formal. DD has a really pretty dress and Barb is getting her DD a Princess dress to wear for formal night.

My questions is....What are you guys wearing on embarkment day?? I know dinner that night is casual?? I just don't know if I want to be worrying about changing?? I have a cute comfy peasant looking skirt that I could wear with sandals and a tank. I think it would work great for the Sail a way and then off to dinner.... :confused3 I just want to be able to keep things simple and relax once we get on board. Plus I am trying not to pack too much!
We have early dinner.

I had a great Birthday yesterday till I got home.....My DD's Pony had been sick and we knew it was not good. Well he passed away yesterday afternoon.
:sad2: :sad2: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: When I got home he was not with the other horses so I went for a walk to find him and he had layed down and passed away probably a few hours earlier. So all DD,Mom and I did was cry and look at my Birthday cake. We did not even feel like eating it. :guilty:
He had a melanoma and it spread to his lymph system...Too late to save him when we found out what was wrong. He was not in pain and had been eating good. He just looked bad I knew it was coming..I just could not make the decision to put him down. :guilty: Don't know if this was the right choice, but he died at a place where he was loved...He had a good life. We are burying him in the morning on our farm. He has been part of our lives for 14 years.
Ok enough sad stuff.....I know it is just a pony, but they become part of our families....
