October 15, 2005 anyone?

We could take a page out of Yoda's book... May the Floss be with you! :teeth:

Honestly, I'm beginning to think I should have gone into the dental arts.

Gotta get back to work - hope you have a great trip Michelle! Be sure to fill us in on the details when you get back.

Brenda

This day is going so slow.....Come on 3:30!!! :cool1:

Then my trip will fly by....It is always like that!

Shmoo: as for the political poll..... I lean towards the ground most of the time... he he no really... I live in North Central Pennsylvania where everyone is (or is in someway related to) a gun toting, deer hunting, tree cutting red neck... guess which way most of the folks around here lean?

:cool1: Thanks...I am logging off and headed home...Yippeee!! :cool1:

Wish we had an early flight, but the only $59 time left was the 2:15 pm...Oh well I am not complaining...Just happy to be going..... :rotfl:

Talk to ya later all........... :cool1: :flower:

Paul,

How far are you from Altoona? That's really more central to south central PA, I think, but that's where my grandmother is from. I am STILL trying to convince her to come on this cruise with us. Maybe she'd be more willing to come knowing someone from relatively nearby would be on the cruise, too. We'll be visiting her over the 4th of July, so I plan on putting the pressure on then...

Paige

I lean towards the ground most of the time...
Hmmm, Paul...Are you sure you haven't been sampling some of those drinks with little umbrellas on them? :drinking1
May the Floss be with you!
:faint: OK, you're right...We don't need to argue about the quality of your puns. :rotfl:

Way back on about page 23, there was some discussion about getting buttons or pins or shirts or something like that made up. I thought that it would be prohibitively expensive to do so unless large quantities were ordered. However, that may not be the case. A group of August 2006 cruisers is using CafePress.com to order logo items associated with their cruise. Apparently, all it takes is for someone with a bit of artistic talent to submit a logo to the site, and then you can order shirts, hats, buttons, postcards, mugs, etc. with that logo. There are no minimum order commitments and the prices don't look all that unreasonable. There is even a lime green t-shirt! :rotfl: As an example of what can be done, you can check out the August cruisers' selection at http://www.cafepress.com/castaways2006

Nephew and I are working on a logo idea for our cruise - when it's ready I was going to post it here and on the Yahoo Group to see what everyone thinks. If you guys like it maybe we could go ahead and use it for a pin. I think it would be a hoot (but I do have a weird sense of humor ;) ).

I'd guess the same way that I do then. :)

I defer to your previous sig picture of Katie when dad dresses her with a shotgun...

Paige: I had to giggle at 1st.... South Central PA.... sounds like South Central LA... I'm in North Central PA.... I drive through Altoona to get to my IL who live in Cumberland, MD. I LOVE stopping in Altoona at the new spiffy Sheetz. It's a good place in between where we can get out, stretch legs and get REAL cappucino...

Later,
Paul

Yes, and I guess ou can figure out what side of politics my husband comes down on.

My poor child. When she was born, my Father gave her a little camoflauge bubble suit (with a matching hat with a bow), and two NRA bibs. My husband loved them. Me.....ehhh.....Guns aren't my thing, but I humor them. :)

Poor Kid!

My grandmother finally agreed to join us on our cruise, so we will be a party of four. :Pinkbounc She ultimately decided that a week with her only great-grandchild won out over her lifelong fear of water.

Can't wait! And is anyone else as excited as I am about being the first ship to experience the "new" Magic after drydock? It's exciting to hear about the proposed changes.

For those who aren't monitoring the Repo Cruise thread, here is the list of changes that are planned for the Magic during drydock:
  • The spa area will be remodelled and pushed all the way to the front of the ship and windows will look out over the front of the ship they will add special private rooms for couples massages.
  • On the upper deck of the ship they are adding a jumbo tron type display so that they can show movies under the stars and also enhance the sailaway parties will be 24 feet wide and I think 15 feet tall.
  • The conference rooms are being eliminated and replaced with more childrens areas, they will be computer simulations and actually allow the kids to pretend to dock the ship.
  • On Castaway Cay they are adding swimming with the stingrays
The stingray swim would not be part of the drydock changes, so I don't know if that is happening at the same time or later. Sounds neat though...I hope it is offered for our cruise. :hyper:

In an effort to compete with Brenda in the pun department, Paul has already proposed that the jumbotron be named the "Dumbotron". Does that mean it will be able to fly? :rotfl:

I can't speak for anyone else but movies late at night under the stars on a cruise line would probably be shown on "Slumbo-tron" in my book. :teeth:

Brenda (can't resist an opportunity to make a bad joke!)

I am very excited to hear about the changes....so moving the spa all the wayto the front...does that mean getting rid of the fitness area (which of course i used religiously last cruise every day :rotfl2: ) or will more area extend over the crew pool?

i am hoping they have swimming with the stingrays by our cruise but it will be hard to know when they will add it to our excursions offers....i am afraid it may sell out before i find out about it!

i am also excited to hear they are adding some new ports in 2007....i will be bring $$ to reserve another cruise while on board!

We are falling behind, and I can't handle that. :)

How was everyone's Memorial Day?

We spent Sunday and today visiting some of our very amazing and wonderful Virginia wineries! I am not really a wine pro, but I adore visiting the wineries and tasting their stuff. Katie loves all the beautiful open land to run around in circles on, silly girl! I leave the wine knowledge to my husband and our friends!

Anyway, we had a great time, and hope you all did too! Now to just hope that Labor Day gets her quickly as that puts us about 1.5 months from the cruise!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :moped: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I had to work most of the weekend but oh well...at least the weather was nice! I am getting more excited as the days get closer. I am sending off final payment today! Now i just have to start saving money for all my drinks! :drinking1

We have decided for sure to drive to port canaveral this year but we will have fun! We are going to stay at the Radisson for the first time. I bet we will see some of you there! Has anyone ever eaten at a place called Grills? I have heard it mentioned on the boards here and FYI they have a coupon online to print out that gives you 10% off your bill with an out of state drivers license or local hotel room key....just in case anyone is interested!

I also hope everyone had a good weekend. I just have to make it through this one day of work this week before heading off for vacation at the family cabin in Utah. It will be nice to see mountains and escape this Texas heat for a bit.

I finally figured out how to post pictures. So...who wants to sit beside this kid at dinner?

Very busy though!! We had a wonderful time in Orlando last week. Weather was perfect and crowds seemed good till around Friday. SeaWorld was great on Wednesday. Not crowded at all.

AKL was really beautiful and we had a great time watching the animals from our room. We ended up not going to AK on Friday and just hung out at the pool all day. :sunny:
We also love Ohana at the Poly and we rode the Monorail around on Thursday night. We did Downtown Disney on Wed night and it was busy, but it always seems busy to me?? We did not do any WDW parks, but everyone we talked to said things were not too bad except of course MK. You just have to get there early.
I could tell things were picking up at our resort on Friday. Lots of us leaving and a lot checking in. I have a feeling things were going to get busy around WDW during Memorial day and after. :goodvibes I did not want to leave though.... :sad2: I about cried when we left AKL Friday evening... :sad2:

We had a great "short" visit... :cloud9: Too short!

By the way we ate at "GRILLS" before our cruise in 2003 and loved it! We got to sit out at this little park area after dinner and watch the Magic set sail! We also used that coupon on line. :cool1:

I am excited to read about the updates to the MAGIC! How exciting! I can't wait, but I have having a bit of a crisis in my life. I may need some advice from you guys soon.........I will fill you in more later. ugh!

Glad to be back at work......NOT!!!! :sad2:

Bye :wave2:

Michelle, I am glad to hear that you and Josie had such a good time. Your mother went with you, didn't she? Sounds like a nice mother(s) & daughter(s) time. :earsgirl: ::MinnieMo

P&P, Your little guy is a cutie. I remember those days. My youngest is 4 years old & these days his way of getting dirty is digging holes in the back yard trying to find worms. Needless to say. My husband who has OCD tendencies when it comes to the lawn spends many an evening after work filling holes in the yard. (It must have been the squirrels). Yah, that's it. ;)

Anyway, congrats on paying your trip off! :) We plan on doing that in the next couple weeks. After all, we want to put in early ressies & I believe the cruise has to be paid in full in order to do that. Still looking for reasonable arifare, though.

Well, hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day. we grilled w/ family and had a nice, relaxing, beautiful day. Wishing everyone a good start to the week. Have to run I have a field trip to chaperone. :earseek: Wish me luck!. :)

Hi everybody! Just adding my two cents - hope you all had a good weekend, too! DH and I celebrated 6th anniversary on Sunday - had dinner at the Melting Pot on Saturday night. WOW! That place was awesome - such good food and so much fun!

Michelle, glad to hear that you had a good time on your mini-trip to Orlando - was thinking rather enviously of you for a while this weekend (actually, every time I saw a WDW commercial on the Travel Channel!).

Brenda :goodvibes
