October 15, 2005 anyone?

Our cruise plans are entirely dependent upon the prices and itineraries released by DCL tomorrow. I have a feeling the European cruises will be out of our price range, but depending on the cost we may splurge a bit...we keep going back and forth on the idea.

If it's a no-go then I think we're going to forgo cruising for a while...looking at the British Virgin Islands or Hawaii next year as alternatives (I guess those are acceptable options... :teeth: ).

Hope all is well - this is the earliest I've made it home since January. That's just pathetic... :p

Aaaahhhh Lily!!! A girl after my own heart!!

Who names their kid Barron??? Someone who has too much money to care what people think.

Nancy :wave2:

I think Barron must be his middle name...surely his first name is Robber? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: (You guys needed a bad pun.).

I am down in the depths of despair after seeing the rates for next summer's cruises. I thought I could convince the man because we'd be seeing so many different places and a land-tour like this wouldn't be much cheaper and the language factor isn't nearly as big an issue given that we'd be staying on a ship owned by Disney where the CMs all speak English. Alas, this is one of the few times that Jason actually said the word "no."

I'm beginning to fear that we're never going to make it to Europe...looks like EPCOT is going to have to suffice.

If anyone here gets to go please be sure to share the details with us - I'm sure it will be wonderful.

You could rent a Villa in Tuscany for 1 week!! :thumbsup2

That is my dream!!! :sunny: Someday!!

We may do the Magic in October 2007, but not Mediteranian sailings for us?

I anxious to see how succesful this is for Disney...I can't imagine???

I guess there are a lot of people out there with a lot of money!!!! :rolleyes1

just waiting for my Buffalo to Barcelona $49 Ding to come in! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I think it was fear of the alcohol and / or coffee bill that made Jason take a pass on this one!

Hi everyone.
Who are they targeting for the euro cruises?
Will Americans pay these prices on top of Flight and Hotel costs?
I doubt if Europeans have even heard of DCL. In the UK we love Florida and Disney, it is one of the destinations travel agents don't need to push, it sells itself. BUT you will not find anything here to do with DCL. You can not book DCL here.
The marketing dept at Disney will have to work 24/7 to sell these cruises.
I think they have made a big mistake. Disney is American not European.

The average family with kids can not afford to drop that kind of money on a vacation!! :confused3

Plus the airfare!!!!

I will be surprised if the sell them out.....

WHEW!!! i am planning on going on the eastbound repo but my hubby is not happy with the ports....we were both hoping for a stop in bermuda on the way....we are excited to be on the boat for 14 days but he is dreading the flight home (i think he is scared to fly but won't tell me!)....luckily i have a request with inventory control so i should get 1st tier pricing....we will be in a cat 11 this time....i am giving up the window for drinks/mochachinos!!!! with a cat 11 it should be about $6400 for 4 of us but a window would bump that up to about $9000.....i can buy alot for $2600 (probably our tab after 14 days on board!!!) :lmao:

i hope all is well with everyone! i have too many trips planned right nowt o kepp them all straight but no one compares to you guys....i just have not gelled as much with the other cruisers yet....

come on Brenda!!!! cruise with me!!!! :wizard: :wizard:

Hey Elizabeth! If there were a way that I could convince Jason to spend the $$$ we'd be right there with you, but he is currently taking cover in an entrenched position that has, so far, remained unassailable.

I agree that the Repo ports leave a bit to be desired...very surprised that Bermuda isn't a stop along the way.

Send us a picture showing you and the hubby relaxing at the Cove with extra large mochacinos. :thumbsup2

Hey Paul... are you out there? I out-geeked our IT department this morning. They just set up an intranet last week and they are holding a contest to see who can come up with the best name for the intranet. I'm not sure why it needs a name, but since the game involves free stuff I thought I'd go ahead and play.

Keeping in mind that I work for Enterprise Bank...I submitted the following as my name for our intranet: NCC1701 :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

None of the guys back there knew what it was and they had to Google it to find out. Not only was it a great joke wasted, but it completely shattered my sci-fi loving IT-guy stereotype.

This is probably because when Kirk and Spock were flying around America's TVs before the IT guys were even in diapers.

Lot's of times, the intranet is called the enterprise network... thus they probably did not want to call it the Enterprise enterprise network. The other possibility of the naming thing is that they are just wierd IT geeks that have to have a name for the beast... for a long time the Adelphia Backbone was called Haunter after a pokimon... servers named heckle/jeckle alpha/omega It's just part of the network guru culture. :)

They aren't too young for Next Generation... which was great for the cheese factor.

Actually I preferred Deep Space Nine of all the Star Trek shows...blame Jason for all of that. I never watched any of that stuff until he came along with his bohemian goatee-growing sci-fi watching libertarianism.

I guess there are worse things. :teeth:

Just popping in to say howdy!

So, anyone fortunate (ha ha - get it?) enough to book a cruise for next summer? Too rich for our blood, but I was able to convince Jason to let me buy 50 more vacation club points. We have now reached the necessary allotment to provide me with years of blissful vacation planning (so many choices!).

I hope you and your families are doing well and looking forward to your next visit with Mickey, wherever it may be. Six more months until our next trip to the Mousetrap!! :Pinkbounc

Take care everyone - any chance of snagging a postcard from one of you Euro-Disney cruisers next year?

:teeth:

I'm posting just for kicks and giggles...just to get our thread onto the first page. Gosh, I'm such an 8 year old!

21 more days until too much basketball and the mouse!!

Nancy :wave2:

Hi Elizabeth,

We are cruising Oct 20th, 2007 (A 7 night Western) and again in April or May of 2008 (4 nights on the Wonder). The cruise bug bit us for sure!!

I agree with you on the DIStag! That was a blast! Chuck and I have talked about the meeting of more DISers. We had a fabulous group (I still keep in touch with a few of them) and I'm sure we will meet some more. We decided that when (....I'm thinking positive) we win really big on the lottery, we'll get all the Molar Expressers together and cruise again...on us!! :lmao:

Wouldn't that be a fun thing to be able to do? Imagine getting an email from us telling you that you will be cruising again and that it won't cost you a penny. :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

OK...back to reality. Your cruises sound facinating. :Pinkbounc

Take Care E,
Nancy :wave2:

Hi Nancy, your my new bestest friend. :teeth: :rotfl:

It looks like alot of us our bitten by the cruise bug. The DCL bug to be exact. Or is it a mouse? :earseek:

Congrats to you Elizabeth! It sounds like you and your family are going to have a wonderful time! :sunny:

We are going Oct 13-20th, 2007 and I can't wait!

Everyone, take care! :)

Sure do miss this group...I think we must have gotten really lucky when we all decided to pick the same cruise. Can't seem to find as many friendly DISers as there were on our sailing...maybe it's got something to do with our teeth?

Nancy - when you win that lottery please see if Jay and I can have a suite, since you're so generously offering to foot the bill! :teeth:
