October 15, 2005 anyone?

Well... seems like this thread is pretty much dead :( not totally dead.. just mostly dead...

anyway.. Brenda.. you staying up with the baseball offseason? Can you believe my Cubbies lost out on Rafael Furcal.... "It's not about the money..." yeah right... goes to the highest bidder (Dodgers) who just so happen to have lots of problems and probably won't do much this year......

Kevin,
how's the weather in AZ? cooled down any?? avg temps here are like 20s... how are yer girls??

Anybody rebook or actually get in on the 2006 DVC Member cruise?

Later,
Paul

I am still hanging around..... :goodvibes
I can tell ya it is COLD :cold: in Missouri!!! brrrrr! :cold:

We have not booked another cruise yet. Probably 2007!!

We have rented DVC points and are going to stay at the BWV at the end of May. ::MickeyMo :cool1: ::MickeyMo Can't wait for that! This is my first time renting points!! I have always loved the Boardwalk area!

Then I think we are going to do a surprise Christmas trip for DD to WDW next Dec 13th for 4 days!! Love MVMCP!!

Plus I have a cruise booked on RCL for 4th of July week 2006.
Josie is also going along on this one too. We have about 16 people going along on this one. Can't afford DCL in the Summer!! eek!

So I have plenty of trip planning this Winter to keep me busy!! I hate Winter!!! I do love having a fire every eveing though.

Hope you all have a nice Holiday season!! I have been busy bidding on E-bayfor all kinds of things! I am addicted!!! :cloud9:

I'm still peeking around here too! Sunny and hot in California, its about 70. Kinda hard to get in xmas spirit with so much sun!

Matt & I are doing Carnival Mexican Riveria this July. Mia and I are thinking New York over spring break with the Aunties (I'm trying to convince them WDW would be better!).

We did book for Oct. '06 for Western cruise, but right now we are trying to juggle in a houseboat trip to Lake Powell this summer, so it will most likely be postponed. I need to figure out the best time to do it when we won't be in bad weather... We had such a great DC, we dont want anything to ruin our next one.

I am definitly missing our trip... you find me regularly scrolling through pics on the shutterfly site...

Hi all
Each night gets down to around freezing point in the UK now, wish we were back on the cruise. No cruises for next year. Our trips are as follow, trying to get a last minute deal for this christmas and might get another 7 days somewhere next Oct.
May 28th - 7 days in Italy
Aug 3rd - 25 days Orlando
Dec 26th - 11 days Orlando

Hi Wayne and Mrs Wayne!!!!

Wow, so glad you like the US so much! That's a lot of vacation time. Maybe you should just move here and visit the UK every year!

My sister in law and I made the Yorkshire pudding. Good thing you included a picture because we thought it should have looked like good old Jello pudding. :rotfl:

We had no idea what Gas Mark 8 meant and we used regular white flour. I guess we weren't sure what it was supposed to turn out like. Maybe if we wouldn't have drunk an entire bottle of wine while we made it, it may have turned out better.

So what do you do with them when they are done? We poured raspberry syrup over it. We made the guys try it first. They didn't like it. We tried it and it kind of tasted like a raspberry filled donut to us rather than pudding.

I told my mom about it and all she could do was laugh at us. She said she will make us some after the Holidays.

I'll let you know how her's turns out.

Say hi to Mathew for me and have a great holiday!!!

Nancy :wave2:

Hi Griselda!!

I check this thread out every now and then too. Sure do miss everyone!! We also booked on board for another Eastern for Oct 06. We plan on moving it to Oct 07 once the dates are available. Hopefully the price won't be too outrageous.

NY sounds like so much fun. DD (Kristin 21) and I often thought of visiting the Big Apple but just never did it yet. Maybe once she is done with school we can do that trip.

SIL and BIL want to do a 4 night Disney cruise, but I worry about that a bit. SIL does not like little kids and not really crazy about anything Disney. Maybe we should try a RCL or Carnival with them instead.

Be sure you pop back in to tell us about your cruise next summer.

Later,

Nancy :wave2:

Hi Nancy
We have thought about moving to Florida so many times but I have my own very busy florist shop which I can close down for 6 or 7 weeks a year and Karen has a job where she only works 2 and a half days a week and also takes 6 or 7 weeks a year off. From what I have heard you don't get the same vacation time in US.

We have just had a good laugh about the Yorkshire puds. Oven has to be quite hot 230C or 450F, they are typically eaten with a Roast beef dinner and onion gravy (not a normal pudding).

They are very nice cooked properly. Maybe you should look for a step by step tutorial on the net. Hope you get to try some cooked properly.

Wayne

Hope all is well out there with everyone and their teeth!

I've been bogged down with work and medical stuff. Gotta have surgery next month for some lingering issues - maybe it will snow during the couple of weeks that I get to miss work so that I don't have to worry about the commute in crappier than usual traffic?

We didn't get to try the Yorkshire pudding yet...maybe we can do that for Christmas.

I wanna take another cruise!! Actually would have liked to try the DVC member cruise next year but our 2006 points were already committed to a trip we're taking with my parents. Oh, well... another time I guess.

Did you guys hear that Kevin won a 4-night cruise on Celebrity Cruise lines through his benevolent employer? That's so cool.

Take care everyone and keep warm!

Brenda :goodvibes

Hey Paul - weather has been wonderful...it's in the 30-40's in the morning and mid to upper 60's during the day. We will prob get to enjoy this till January - then the wind picks up and our temp will drop another 5-10 degrees. This almost makes up for our nasty summer tempatures.
The girls are doing great (see below photos) - they continue to ask when we are returning to 'the mickey boat'...and hoping to see Lily & Grace again. Love the picture of you and your girls on the beach. You must have had a professional photographer travel with you (LOL). Hope this finds you and yours well. Stay warm - my friend...give your girls a hug for us.

We plan on moving it to Oct 07 once the dates are available. Hopefully the price won't be too outrageous.

Hi Nancy...we might get to spend some more time with you and Chuck. We are also planning on returning to the Magic in Oct of 07. Just last night we got our DD's vacation schedule through 2008...appears we will be booking for October 13, 2007 sailing. With our luck...the Magic will be in dry dock this week. Sure could use some pixie dust that they will refirb the ship well before our sailing. I would rather not sail right after a dry dock - ever again. But, as the old saying goes....you go - when you can go.
I am really looking forward in taking 'my girls' on another cruise. Also, we've shared our pictures with family and good friends...to date...approx 25 people are interested in booking with us.

Gotta have surgery next month for some lingering issues...Did you guys hear that Kevin won a 4-night cruise on Celebrity Cruise lines through his benevolent employer?
Brenda -first and foremost, sorry to hear you need surgury...we send you our thoughts and prayers.

Well....since Brenda has 'spilled the beans'...thought I share some details.

Our office was in competition this year against another. Well...our group out performed the east coast office and we won an all expanses paid cruise. I've been blessed to support a company - well, that supports my family with more…than just a paycheck. The only (small) regret I have is – this is not a disney cruise (anyone have the disney 12 step program 800#).

The tentative schedule is to take a 3-day cruise with Celebrity on the Mercury out of Seattle toward the end of September - 2006. The itinerary includes a stop in Vancouver BC and an island named Nanaimo (or is this a Peninsula). This will just be a Nan and I trip as we will be leaving the kids with Grandparents (can I get a YEE HAW!!!). I’ve been apprvoed for an additional day off. So. we are looking forward in spending some additional ‘couples only time’ exploring downtown Seattle.

Am starting some research on 'things to do - places to go'...this has really helped curb my 'post cruise depression'....

My best to all...take good care...wishing all a Merry Christmas with good health and happiness into the New Year.

Glad to see this thread is still alive!!

Kevin and Paul....anyway I can get your home addresses? Chuck and I wanted to thank you both properly for all your hard work in making our 1st cruise one to remember. I would need a street address of either your work or home because ups won't deliver to PO boxes.

I'll be nice...I promise!!
Please PM me .

Hey Kevin...congrats on the cruise. You lucky dog you!! It couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Has anyone heard from Marnie? (Crazy4mickey). Sure would love to get her email address if anyone has it. I tried PM'ing her, but no response.

Take care everyone,
Nancy :wave2:

Just in case anyone is still "checking in"....Happy Holidays to all of you and the Happiest New Year ever!!!

Everyone ready for Christmas???? I am pretty much done. I have to go pick up Nephews Disney 4 day pass on Friday when I get paid. That is his surprise for Christmas even though we don't leave for WDW till May 28th. :goodvibes :wizard: :goodvibes

I am hoping that I get my 7 day pass to WDW....It is on my Christmas list!!! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Brenda,

I made a PS for San Angel Inn,but I think I may change it too the Japanese restaurant at Epcot instead. The one where they cook the food in front of you.

Everyone on the restaurant board says good things about it and the prices don't look any worse than Kobe in St.Louis.

We may just do the San Angel Inn for a light lunch and a Margarita. :teeth:

Take care all and Happy Holiday! :wave2:

My next trip is for "business" in Puerto Rico next week. Would have liked to take my babe, but had no one to watch the girls... wow 85 in January in a posh resort.... that's going to be rough..

Hope all is well with everybody...

Paul

Happy New Year everybody, and may your teeth stay strong in 2006!

Hope all is well...Paul, enjoy your week at "work" in Puerto Rico..wish I could convince the bank to send me there instead of Kansas City. :teeth:

Anyone have any scuttlebut on 2007 cruises? When I mentioned a rumor I read to Jason about a Mediterranean itinerary he developed a renewed interest in sailing with the Mouse sooner than we had originally planned.

Thanks for any information you can provide!

Brenda :goodvibes
