Brenda, how did you manage getting around the ship without touching railings and elevator buttons? Did you use your toes instead? :rotfl:

Nancy :wave2:

I hung on to Jason when we were running up and down the stairs...which we did a lot! And when I was too lazy for the stairs we would use our elbows to punch the elevator buttons! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Howard Hughes aint got nothing on us! But at least we weren't shuffling around the ship with kleenex boxes on our feet...didn't want to freak anyone out too badly! :teeth:

Anyone else having trouble with the trip report forum? I've been trying to start a thread there to regale everyone with tales of our delightful vacation and it will not work. I'm getting verrrrrry annoyed.

Any thoughts?

PS. I suppose I should have said I grow impatient. Then one of you fine people could have responded with something like: Really? I grow daffodils. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Brenda

Hey Brenda...

Read your "Diary of Brenda M" and really enjoyed it. I'm sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the Embarkation Day entry. May I say now how I look forward to reading ANYTHING you write. You crack me up girl!!! :rotfl:

Later,
Nancy :wave2:

I was wondering if Zach and Luke's parents post here...my son Noah had such a great time playing with them, and he wanted to keep in touch with them.

(tongue in cheek) yay!!! Chicago Wins the World Series!!!!!

lessee, Boston wins it after waiting 80+ years, White Sox win it after 90+ years.... who's next? :-D

I need a mochaccino!!!
Ladies and Gentleman, boys and girls, soon we'll have a nice way to collaberate pictures...

Kathy: Mollie had the same issues with the menus... steak and potatoes girl... once she got to Palo's, she was happy... she got the filet minus the portabello... I tried the Limoncello Martini (yes we did have a spirit or two on the cruise)... Zita didn't make it quite right I guess (I do not know these things)... no sugar on the rim... so it was a bit sour... :scared:

sure brenda... you had to be the 1st to get your trip reports out... maybe the rest of us slackers will have our reports ready by next cruise... :rotfl2:

Later gators,
Paul

Love everyone's updates. Did any of you book a cruise for 2007/2006? We placed a deposit for the western 7 day cruise. Any comments on that itinerary. Are my kids too old by then? 17 and 15... Believe it or not, Victoria really wants to do another Disney cruise. We are contemplating RCCL or Princess cruise lines for more teen-related activities. Disney was the best. Our group included 18 kids and they loved eating with each other and enjoyed "The Stack" immensely. Thanks for any advise again  :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Hey, Gia and Dave! Thanks for sharing your photos. I couldn't help but notice in the last of your Golden Mickeys pictures how strategically Mickey's ear was placed over Tarzan. It looks like one of those censor blobs! Really made me chuckle. Also love all of the koala photos. Looks like you guys had a great time.

I am working on my husband for a possible trip next year in September. Katie had the most amazing time at Castaway Cay so I was thinking about one of the Costa Maya trips that hits Castaway Cay twice. Originally, we agreed to do a week at Disney instead, but now I am not sure. She really loved the cruise, and it was so much more relaxing.

The other thing is that we were thinking about giving RCCL a shot. Freedom ofthe Seas looks like one seriously cool ship! I'm just afraid that it won't be as good as Disney and that we will feel let down. Also, even thinking about it makes me feel like I am cheating on Dsney Hehehehe. :) Of course, if Disneykeeps raising their cruise prices, we might have to switch to RCCL!

Shmoogirl,
Don't feel bad! You are not cheating Disney!! :goodvibes I agree prices are through the roof!! I have been on RCL and it was a lot of fun. Of course it was not Disney. Just don't try to compare the experience..Think of RCL as a new cruising experience! I always try and see the positive and it helps.

I am booked on an RCL cruise for the week of 4th of July in 2006. First time I will take DD on a Non Disney cruise. I just could never afford DCL summer prices!!! :confused3

We were thinking of booking the Wonder for October, but have decided to wait for May 2007 prices and booking for either the 5-19 or 5-26 cruise. I am just afraid of how much they will be!!! :confused3 Atleast we will have plenty of time to pay. It is so worth the money to cruise DCL,but I am also willing to try other things sometimes too.

I will have to post this summer how DD like RCL. My Aunt and Uncle just got of the Marinier of the Seas with there DS (6) and she said he loved the kids club. :goodvibes

So don't be afraid to venture out!!! :goodvibes

Have any of you guys done a HAL, RCCL or other cruise that goes to a private island? Castaway Cay was, hands down, the best part of our cruise and I'm just curious how other cruise lines private islands compare.

The cruise we are taking in July goes to RCL private Island Coco Cay! :sunny:

I have heard it is nice, but not as nice as Castaway Cay and you have to Tender..

I did read that they have some fun things like a trampoline in the water and a big play area for the kids. It look pretty if you go on webshots and look at pictures. The ships look kind of cool parked right off the Island in the water.

I will let you know how we like it. We are also looking forward to spending a day at Key West! :sunny:

I had a link with info about Coco Cay. I will try to attach it if I still have it. I am just going to be open minded!

I know they feed you like DCL does on the Island too.

Looks pretty nice??? :confused3

I can't remember what dessert was on the first night. Cheesecake, maybe? Anyone else start their rotation in PC? Was that even on the menu?

I should have taken a picture of the menus at dinner, then I wouldn't have this problem because as soon as I look at it I'd recognize what I would have ordered.

Does the chocolate martini count as early dessert? :earboy2:

Happy Friday to all!!!

Our newly created Internet site to post/share Molar Express photos – IS FINALLY HERE!!! Can I get a YEE HAW!!!

Thanks to Paul for testing and feedback on Shutterfly dot com. Paul and I already have posted some photos for all to enjoy. Brenda has offered her endorsement and will post some this weekend. COME TAKE A LOOK AT SOME GREAT SHOTS!!!

Kodak, Yahoo and others were strong considerations....these are some fine photo sites on the web, but we feel Shutterfly had stronger advantages for all. Some highpoints were; a wider range of reasonably priced products you can order and have shipped to your home (DVD that holds up to 400 photos with transitions and music - $19.99, 12/18 month calendar starting at $19.99 with a different photo for each month --- just to name a few), a secure/password protected site with unlimited photo storage.

Here’s how it needs to start – should you want to view only or contribute your own photos;

Please send me an e-mail (preferred) or PM requesting an invitation - kevin.smith@appl.ge.com(work) – OR - d_Isigny@msn.com(home). Will need the full e-mail address you want the invitation sent to. I will send you a link and the password to view/post photos on our group site.

You are encouraged to contribute – if you wish to do so, here is what I suggest you do;

(step 1) Go to their link for ‘not a member’ and sign up. For signing up...you receive their current special of 15 free 4x6 prints (you will pay for postage/handling – which appears reasonably priced). Within your account, you will have (or requested to create) an ‘album’ to post your photos. I suggest you name this album...mine is ‘Smith’s Vacation Photos’
(step 2) Upload photos to your ‘album’ (WARNING – if you are on dial-up...this will take some time depending on your connection speed and photo file size). When you complete this...you can post photos on the group site. **broadband or dial up...this is the step that takes the most time**

(step 3 – should you choose to share) Go back to the link for “Molar Express” photo album via the original link...you will be prompted to give a password (palo – all lower case)...(next screen) use the link on the right to “ADD PICTURES” – (next screen) make sure, “Transfer from my Shutterfly account” is selected and click NEXT – (next screen) select the photo album you want to copy pictures from - (next screen) select individually the photos you want to share...or click ‘select all’ and click the ‘NEXT’ button – WOO HOO – pop the cork and make some noise...you are done!!!! Your photos will be added to our group album.

It’s my hopes these instructions are understandable and will ‘ease you through’ the Shutterfly web site. All in all, I found the ‘wizards’ they use to be quite ‘friendly’. If any have questions...I’ll sure try to assist...regards, Kevin

Yeah, that is something that worries me. I need to find out more info on the kids clubs at RCCL. That would help my fears.

The other problem is that we've been trying to have another baby for about 2.5 years now and if we are sucessful, I would want to stay with Disney for their group babysitting. I don't like the idea of inroom babysitting at all. Does that make any sense? :) I wonder if the new RCCL ships will have group infant babysitting or still in room?

I have started uploading some of our pics.

*shakes head in wonder that we even have electricity and running water out here in the sticks*

It is a verrrrrrrry sloooooooow process with dial-up. Took about an hour for twelve photos.

*Grunts loudly at husband - he nods in the affirmative and scratches in full view of the cat*

Once the operation is complete I will transfer to the group album. We've got some good pics from both meets.

Signing off from the city of OFallon, striving to make the easy difficult and the difficult impossible.
