No active storms anywhere..>just a trouble spot of low pressure over where??? Of course "THE VIRGIN ISLANDS"!! No development is expected,but it better move on by next week!!!!! It can not hang out there forever!!

According to the tropical guy on the Weather Channel last night, that system is expected to move north, and should be over Bermuda by Thursday. (That is based on last night's information...I haven't had an update today.)

The Virgin Islands have been getting pounded with rain for a couple of weeks now. There was a period of time last week where the cruise ships weren't even bothering to dock in St. Martin due to heavy rains and flooding. The Islands are definitely overdue for some good weather!

I just checked the Norfolk Web Cam to take a last look at the Magic in drydock. It's exciting to know that later tonight she will be headed back to Port Canaveral!

I read in one of those infamous dress code threads that you wore a tiarra last year. That's awesome!! Are you going to do it again? My DH would have the final confirmation he needs that I've lost my marbles if I did that but you've got me thinking about it now....

Oh, please...my husband thought I had lost my mind last year. "You're really going to wear that thing, huh?"

Yup I did. Dunno if I'm wearing it this year because it doesn't really go with the dress but who knows?

I am so excited - DH just got home from work and he and all the other supervisors / managers were given $100 AMEX gift cards!! They've had a hellish couple of months working on a conversion putting in 60+ hours a week. This will almost cover our dinner at Emeril's Thursday night!

Just had to share - it would have been better if it had been the winning powerball ticket, but I'll take what I can get!!

Hitomi, I went on the site - LOVE IT! If you can find the time to grab my 7 year old daughter anything (a shirt, a necklace, anything we can carry home easily) I would owe you greatly!

We are all in our last couple of days of rushing around making sure we dont forget anything, but I love the tiarra idea, my daughter is wearing one that says birthday girl on her birthday, but I think I will get her another one for dinner!

Went to the doc, got some meds, but I think its also the flu, a lot of that is going around here in California, so I came home today to rest (typing in this board is considered rest right?).

Verrry nice! I think the closest Claire's is about 20 miles from here and tomorrow the annual termiite inspection takes place, I have to finish packing, clean the house, get a manicure...oh, too many things to do...and did I mention that there's a baseball game tomorrow night?? Yep - my day is full. Oh well, it was a nice idea.

Excellent!!!! See, I told you that you were the nice one!!

It's so bad in our house that we've already mapped out exactly how we're going to try to catch most of each game on Saturday and Sunday, both of which start at 3PM Central time.

I even offered to forego afternoon tea on Sunday but Jason is a good guy and he said we could just get it to go!!

I was really worried about the Phillies coming down the stretch - they really seemed to have our number this year and I didn't want to face them if we didn't have to. Not that what I wanted mattered, but you know how it is with us armchair experts. I expect you guys to have a pretty good team again next year - you've got some good young players.

And doesn't the ship look pretty at night? That's one thing I always regret about pulling out of port so early - we never get a chance to take a picture of the Magic at night. Last year I made that comment at Shutters and they gave me a "free" picture of the Magic all pretty with her lights on. I say "free" because I'd just bought an 8x10 of our formal night picture in one of those snazzy binders with a picture of Mickie and Minnie in their formal wear on the other side.

And you know...that makes me think about the dress code thing again...how would everyone feel if the characters started coming to dinner in jeans and sneakers? I bet they wouldn't think it was appropriate at all!

OK...Brenda's pills are kicking in and she's getting sillier than usual.
