October 14, 2007 - 10/14/2007 Wonder

Thanks. We will calendar 75 days out . . . which is, July 31:banana: I am not too concerned about booking something. The only thing I would like is to eat at Palo's on the one night that is the same rotation but that is like a crap shoot anyway when you make the reservations as you don't know until you get on board, correct? Since we haven't been on the ship before I want to try all the rooms even if it means missing Palo but that would be fun as well. Is it hard to get into Palo?

Getting Palo Ressis is not that hard to get, remember it's for adults only and I would highly recommend going...it's the best meal on the ship! You can also book a brunch at Palo's...Every resturant on the ship is good, Trition's and Animaters Palates (sp?) are our favorites. You can request your dining rotation, they will do everything possible to make it happen. Remember, most 3 and 4 day cruises are first time cruisers with DCL, most people would like to try and short cruise first.

How do you do that? Yes, we do realize it is adults only and looking forward to that. Our DS is eight and has a lot of energy so it is nice to get a night out just the two of us. When we go to WDW our first night there will be our date night as we will be getting there before our park passes are "turned on". So we are going to do Cirque du Soleil and Jiko and put our DS in the kids club. It is nice that Disney realizes that some parents enjoy a time to be a couple and makes it happen.

YOu can request but i would not hold my breath on it. Last year when we crusied they told us one thing on the phone prior to the cruise and when we got there it was no where close to it! I am booking my for Pirate night, at least that is what i have planned!!

Having an 8 year old son will mean that if we skip pirate night we will be in big trouble. Don't they usually do that one the night we are at Castaway Cay? I guess I will aim for the last night and see how it goes.

Yes, I do believe pirate night is on Castaway Cay night! It is just me and my DH on this cruise so we dont see a big deal of missing Pirate night dinner!

:yay: Can you believe not only has the 6 month mark passed but the 5 month one is also about to pass. We need to get this thread a hopping!!:yay:

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL THE MOMS!!!

Any other CC memebers get new cards yet?

Ok, I give up . . . what is a CC member and what are the new cards? Probably they are for repeat members and that is why I have no clue but I just had to ask.

Isn't this awesome less than five months until the trip. This is starting to go really fast. I am starting to collect my pennies so we have spending money. I am so excited. My DH is not there yet.

Everyone has been so quiet lately. I know that my life has been consumed with work and trying to get Mouse Manager ready for the Beta test phase to begin in June.

Yesterday, we finally planned out our WDW piece of the vacation that happens after the cruise. I made the ADRs and could not believe that some of the time slots we wanted were already gone! I can remember the days when you could only make a meal booking 30 days in advance. I think I preferred that to trying to decide when I'm going to want to eat and what I'm going to want to eat 6 months before I actually do it.

I can also remember a time when it really wasn't all that necessary to have a meal reservation except for some of the restaurants in Epcot, where it was a good idea to book the day before. There was a time when one could pretty much walk into to a restaurant and not have to wait all that long for a table.

And of course, I have all of my info stored in Mouse Manager (shameless self plug).

Now today comes round 2, replanning the restaurants that don't seem to be going to work out or available when we'd like.

Hi all
Work very hectic - have a student teacher working with me who is wonderful but does take up a lot of time. Really looking forward to meeting you all.
Wendy

Well, Things are slowing down for me. I had a change at work and i am so much busier in the area i am in now. I come home and crash, sometimes i am lucky if i eat supper. I am just ready for DH to come home!! Seems like time is standing still!!!

Did anyone else get their DCL mailing this week? Ours arrived yesterday. Actually 2 arrived. I have to forward one to DDIL & DSIL in the UK.

Well, we are off to WDW in two days for a 6-day trip to the world. I can't wait for an escape from reality!

What DCL mailing? We ordered through a travel agent at AAA so if anything came in it most likely will be forwarded later. We got a confirmation sheet a few weeks ago. Ok, either the clock is off or Iankh you were up really early this mroning.
