I'm so sorry to hear about your mom Sue. I'll keep her in my family's prayers that she'll have a full recovery and be ready to rock and roll for the cruise!

Davidls: Sounds like you had a great time! Sounds like the boat wrecks were definitely worth the trip. I'd be sitting in the hammock supervising my DH and DD with the sand castle building. Sounds so relaxing.

So I know there are really 39 days left but when I wrote my last response I was busy watching my computer clock countdown. I have it scheduled for the day before the trip (since I won't be at work on Saturday to see it). So, I'm off by a day. Sorry about that.

I am really looking forward to the food on this one!!!!! I have been working my tail off this summer to stay in race fitness for the triathlon season. The last race is 9/12/07 so after that I'm going to treat the cruise like an upcoming race just to keep myself on my toes and then all bets are off until the Disney Half Marathon (January) .........so if you see some weirdo running at full speed toward the buffet on the first day you'll know who it is.........

If you don't spot me there I'll be the guy on the treadmill (sun-fri) mumbling to himself about guilt, shame, and some amazing desert that had to be ordered twice in order to verify that, yes that is caramel...........

We went to Animal Kingdom too!!! We had rode Everest the last time we were there, so we passed it up this time. We saw Finding Nemo The Musical at the Animal Kingdom. And, just like all of Disney's shows it was great. In my opinion they are the best shows ever. My grandaughter loved it. She wanted to stay after everyone left the show we saw, move up a few more rows of seats to watch it again. She's a pistol!!! We never know what this girl is going to say next!!! She keeps me & DW on our toes. After seeing Finding Nemo we went over and rode Dinosaur. Scared the blankety blank out of me. Thought for sure that big one, (dinosaur) was going to get me. Of course DGD and DW had to put me out on the edge of the car where he could gobble me up!!! Would they let me sit in the middle whaere I wanted to............ noooooooooooooooooooooooo............... My hands are still shaking!!! DGD thought it was funny that I got scared. We left the park around noon and ate lunch at the resort. Then we hit the beach. And now you know the rest of the story!!!

Hey.... we took a VERY last minute trip to WDW over the weekend, too!!

DH called me around noon at work on Friday and said "lets go when the kids get home from school". Was I going to say no to a trip to the World? No way!! So 1 call later had Coronado Springs booked for 3 nights, when I got home I quickly packed the bag and a 9 hour drive later... we were snoozing at WDW.

It was funny - we told the kids we were going to the beach, and they ended up waking up while we were bringing them to the room. They kept seeing little things and saying "hey... Disney has that" and "hey... this looks like Disney". When we got to the room, I said "well, if this REALLY was Disney... there would be hidden Mickey's... right?" So they started looking around the room, shouting out "I found a Mickey on this paper!" and "there's a Mickey on the Shampoo!!" I asked them what they thought this meant, and the poor things were so tired they just stared at me... till I said "We MUST be at Disney then!" There was some jumping and yelling, after which the 4 of us promptly fell asleep, lol.

We hung around for most of Saturday, spent the night at DTD, Sunday at MK and then the pool, and the pool on Monday before heading home.

Did I mention I love my husband, lol!!

I too am so sorry to hear about your mom Sue. I hope she's feeling better soon!

WOW you all who get to just hop in the car and drive to WDW are making me really jealous. LOL What a luxory. I'm envious to say the least. Maybe I can convince my husband to look for a new job down there! Now that would be sweet! Glad you all had a GREAT time in WDW! I can't believe it's only 36more days (I've already stopped counting today; after all, it's over right? ) til we set sail! I've got the shopping bug!!!! So what if I've already shopped til I dropped. Absolutely - I've searched my posts for DIS-Tag info and will paste/copy all into a word file - then I'll upload it to our Yahoo Groups site (I shoulda done that a long time ago - sorry).

Hey to all...(all says hey),

OK...more info on DIS-Tag – (a little disclaimer first...I will try really hard to offer an explanation...please be patient with me --- I have a challenge with written communication)

I suggest we choose a date that people need to make a yes-no commitment. Early to mid September would probably work well [edited - appears Saturday, September 15th...is our registration deadline]. We all need time to prepare ‘our gifts’ and I’ll need a few days to create/copy the participant list and assemble the magnets (DIS-Tag magnets: I’ll shrink ‘our logo’ down and adhere it to a magnet...they will be ½ the size of a business card). You will need to prepare one (1) item per person/family participating. As of Saturday, September 8th....we have 16 Dis'ers participating. I'll send send out an updated list - later today/tomorrow.

At our DIS-Meet...I’ll pass out to all participating; (1) magnet and (1) list of participants. – after our meeting....THE GAME IS ON (as they say)!!!

The ‘list’ will look similar to this:

• No Name Stateroom number
• 1. Mickey Mouse (dis screen name) 1060
• 2. Pluto (dis screen name) 2120
• 3. Donald Duck (dis screen name) 2251
• 4. Ariel (dis screen name) 4021
• 5. Goofy (dis screen name) 4580

Post our meeting....AND....when convent for you/yours...deliver your ‘item’ and place the magnet toward the top of the recipients stateroom door. For the purpose of this explanation...using Ariel from the above participants....”Number 4—Ariel” would deliver to Goofy at stateroom 4580. Then....Ariel would wait for Donald Duck to deliver her an item. After Donald tags Ariel...she...will --- at a good time for her and her family...and tag the next person. In this example...she would move to the top of the list and tag Mickey Mouse at stateroom 1060. She will continue until she tags the person listed directly above her name --- Donald Duck.

Now...it is possible you’ll be having too much fun (my sincere hopes) and the game might slow up a bit....no worries – cuz...this game is to enhance your time aboard the ship...not be a burden. There is no need to treat your last ‘TAG’ as a ‘hot potato’. If by Thursday morning (my suggestion – am open to others input), you still have an item(s) to deliver...when convenient --- deliver the remaining items to the persons left on your list – by end of day Thursday.

I really hope...all have some great experiences playing this game. We (the whole family) have some fantastic memories playing DIS-Tag---the anticipation of – “did we get tagged”...”what got delivered”...”hurry Dad...open the door”...etc. Here’s a short story – one participant, a young Grandmother, did not want to ‘get caught’ tagging another person...she and her husband would sneak around the hallways like they were in a Mission Impossible movie. Every time I think of her...I can’t help but laugh. Well...this couple would not be in Mission Impossible...maybe more like the comic routine of Agents 66 & 99 in “Get Smart” (tell me you all remember Get Smart ---- cuz...I’m feeling a little aged right about now).

Again...I’ll try hard to answer your questions. Please be patient with me...work has been very demanding...and...I promise to be better in responding. Keep in mind...this is our time...this is our game. If those participating want to change a rule...make a change...go for it. This ‘game’...is to enhance our time during what’s going to be a fantastic vacation.

Hey Robin, I'm posting something additional that Brenda (Oboyshoi - sp?) posted on our boards in 2005 - hope this offers you the information you needed - if not, feel free to pm or re-post to get you the info/help you need.

Let me use the wonderful words of "Brenda" to help explain DIS-TAG.

Lessee...how do I explain tag without really confusing everyone here, including me?

Well, basically we had a list of people who agreed to play tag on the ship and we had two very nice people who helped organize it: Paul, who set up a secure Yahoo database for the cruise, and Kevin who set up the rules and really pulled the game together.

The game starts out with everyone receiving a list of players and a magnet. The idea is to start with the person / cabin listed just below your name on this list - you tag them by leaving the magnet and a little tag gift (we tried to make it easy by suggesting that people leave something indicative of their hometowns / states). Then you have to wait for someone to tag you in the same manner before going on to tag the next person on your list - you keep going until you reach your name.

It was a blast! And people were very creative - Kevin made a vacation / party mix CD for everyone, Suzie left a diabetic coma-inducing bag of sweets to take to the movies, Wayne and his family left a bag o' stuff from England including some keychains and a recipe for yorkshire pudding (Yum!).

Our tag was a grab-bag of stuff that was supposed to play off the name we'd given our cruise thread - The Molar Express. A bunch of us suffered a rash of broken teeth through the year...so I found little toothbrush / teeth eraser sets, and watermelon flavored billy-bob candy teeth and put those in a bag with some other goofy stuff.

If you can get enough people to agree to play and get it organized it adds a whole extra dimension to the week. Jason and I had so much fun with it - we can only hope everyone else did to! - Brenda
