October 12th event?

WB and Universal are really close and Hollywood Blvd is easily accessible from Universal. If your plan was to do Hollywood while staying in Anaheim, I'd switch that and add an extra day at your Universal hotel for Hollywood and WB.

I was leaving Annaheim to do Universal. We were doing Friday at Hollywood and WB...the reason we aren't just driving straight to DL and doing that is because last time I did the WB tour it was also on Columbus Day and there wasn't much going on.

Plus...I thought Hollywood was closer to the airport than DL so our flight arrives at 6pm so thought we would just drive there first for one night.

I booked Best Western Park Place Inn for Friday night through Monday...driving Monday evening to Universal. I wanted to stay there as it seems the closest to the parks without paying the price of staying onsite. I looked and if I change my plans now to go to DL first, that Thursday night at the hotel is not available so would have to find a different hotel.

Of course, I could switch hotels and go straight to Disney and be there Fri/Sat/Sun and leave Monday morning. Then I would drive to Hollywood area and do that on Monday and Universal on Tuesday and WB on Wed. and then drive to San Diego.

Is that a better plan you think? I guess the difference would be DL on Friday instead of Monday.

OK..thanks for all the help. I have changed my plans to drive straight to Disney and do that first. Will still be there over the Sunday walk thing but will have Friday and Saturday there as well.

Appreciate all the help. Best Western PPI online said it had no available rooms for Thursday Oct. 9th but when I called they did have rooms available. Not sire why but am glad I called and got the hotel thing straightened out.

I am so bummed about this :( It is my mom's 50th birthday October 12th and my brother and I have been working on a secret trip for her. She hasn't been to Disneyland in 20 years due to finances but it's one of her favorite places.

How are the crowds afterward normally? I'm trying to decide whether it would be worth it to push it back to Monday/Tuesday (we were planning on Sun/Mon).
