Happy Friday everyone!!! "Only" 204 days until our cruise. I think I'll start on my door magnets. I have quite a few in mind. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I am getting mine started too! I got a couple huge rolls of magnet paper and lots of ideas.

What icons are you talking about? I'm fairly new on the board too, so I might not know, but I'll try. I ordered my FE from etsy.com. There are several sellers there who make them. Some people make their own, but I'm not that crafty with fabric / sewing. I put DH and myself on our FE. I think some people give gifts to each family member, some a cabin gift, and some give gifts to the kids. This will be the first time I've participated in the FE, so I am just telling you what I have read about it. Hope that helps!

Where do you find rolls of magnet paper? In the past, I have bought a pack of 5 sheets of magnet paper, but it is really expensive. My last cruise, I printed on photo paper and added magnets to the back. It works too.

I ordered a roll of 24" x 5' from eBay. I think it was only like $11, but then the shipping was $10. I still figured it would be a lot cheaper than the sheets. I don't think you can print directly on it, but I'm going to just print on photo paper or cardstock, then use adhesive to put it on.

When you type on your computer and phone there is a little spot on the right hand side that you can choose different icons...

For FE's usually, the parents and children are listed. It is helpful for those traveling separately (such as mom/daughter, aunt/niece) to also note that so if someone is doing a stateroom gift or adult gift they can plan accordingly. There are lots of threads here as well as on FB that give great ideas for FE gifts and who people use if they have FEs made. I have had graddysmommy on etsy make my FE twice now and I need to figure out what my one for this cruise and next will be. I also had her make me pillowcases to be signed by the characters as well!

Answer to your last question is yes! We did this and it worked. We got the booking advantage for my brother in law (1st time DCL cruiser) when my son (silver) stayed in his room. Now, I did have to change back my son's address because it automatically changed it to my BIL's address!

Not so sure it will work if you already have the discounted rate for your children. Tricky. I hope it does! Please let us know how it works out!

Even though you booked your son in your BIL's room, there was no question about you checking him in for kids club, bringing him back on the ship at ports, etc., right? Just wouldn't want it to look like my parents were the "responsible" party for him. The other question that came up is pictures. I was planning to just make sure to always give my KTTW card for all photos, so I could make sure they all ended up on one disk. Conversation on the board is indicating that the photos get divided by what stateroom you are in, based on facial recognition, and not what KTTW card you use. Did you have any issues with this, or do you have any info on this? Thanks!

I even had them charge his stuff to our room (excursions, etc). We found we had to get some things ironed out at GS but not an issue with that. He was in the Edge so he came and went. Thank you for the info! I guess I will have to think about it some more. Last year DS wanted a lot of his character pictures with just him, not his sister. And from the sounds of it, those would get put on a separate disk, leaving me needing to buy 2 disks in order to get all the pictures. So I either risk having to pay to buy 2 disks, or wait until 75 days to book my parents port adventures and risk something being unavailable. Decisions, decisions.

With our trip to WDW only 58 days away, and then the summer, I expect it will be here before we know it.
A quick trip to Charleston, SC this weekend to start Spring Break for the children.

Woohoo - 198 days and counting down... I booked at 410 days out so we're over half-way there...



We're also 57 days out from our SoCal trip that includes 4-nights at DLR. Then it's just one long, hot FL summer until our first cruise.
