The hole in my backyard is HUGE ~~and all covered with tarps, etc. since it is supposed to rain tomorrow..>!!!!!!!!!!!

Erika sorry to hear your DD is sick!! poor little thing, hope she'll get over it quickly enough!
speaking of being sick, our youngest DS was sick all over our bed last night, he came in not feeling well and I told him to climb up and a few minutes later we were changing sheets, pj's etc...then a while later AGAIN!!! yuck..didn't sleep very well out of fear I was going to have to run to the washroom with him again. He seems to be better now, so I hope it's done with....

Yuck, at least she isn't sick like that! Just a 103 fever, and she looks horrible.

Hello all, DH of Mommyrom checking in. I just gave my wife the great news today. My chief handed me my approved leave slip for our cruise and was I relieved now I don't have to worry about having to work any swaps with the brothers to get this time off. I looked it over and I'll be gone for at least half of October. I also surprised her by letting her now I'll also be off from Dec. 22nd to the 28th and I forgot that I put in for that time as well.
Man, it's going to be great to have off for Christmas with my family in our new home.
Looking forward to meeting you all in October.
Oh, and on a second note did any of you see the fire today at Foxwoods casino? Our one engine was sent to cover another department that sent firefighters there it went to seven alarms but some of the firefighters we spoke with said it was a little bit of overkill.
A lot of firefighters standing around doing nothing for hours.

Quite night on the boards....and I am going to take advantage of that! I have started Daisy on meds, so hopefully, she'll sleep in tomorrow. I feel bad for her...I have been there, done that!

Anyone want to come help with the carnival? we had a total of 5 people show up tonight. Our school has nearly 700 students! It's going to be rough......

A few posts ago someone bemoaned homework. I just finished an hour's worth of re-learning about Megellan's explorations/circumnavigation of the world with my DD11 for 6th grade social studies! Already re-learned about rocks and minerals for science. At least we were able to use lots of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies as examples in learning about sailing the seas! Made me think of October and daydream a little...

Just call the homework the re-education of Renee

Still working on all those first-time cruiser questions for y'all veterans. I did pre-order the passporter.com kit!

Passporter is the best ever! I ordered one for our first cruise in Oct. 06 and then ordered last years just to have and now have ordered this one. Not a lot changes, but just as sure if I did not order, I'd miss something.

We just had a horrible rain, wind storm go thru ... only lasted a couple of minutes, but winds were about 50-60 mph. Cold front is on the way!
