I am renting out points to pay for my cruise also. I found somebody from the boards (she actually found me somehow). There is a DVC rent/trade board on the DIS where you can do it.

Carol did email me about getting anyone booked with her and getting us all near each other in the dining room. If you want to do that and are booked with her could you let me know and I will let her know. IF you have been told you are waitlisted for early dining I did email her and am waiting word that about if you link with us does that make you set for earling dining. Anyone want us to request a specific rotation? Please PM me or email me if you want to be link to sit near one another not at the same table since I know some of us have already requested to sit with friends, family , etc. If you are not booked with Carol but with another agency or DCL directly I will have to provide you with one of our ressie numbers or last names according to Carol so that you can request to be seated near our group in the dining room. SO please let me know and I will begin compling a list of interested families. I will try and post who I have interested in linking dining here on the boards and on the website as well.

Count me in if possible. I still haven't heard back on my reservation switch, so if it's done through Carol, I'm not sure she'll include me.

I jsut got an email from her if you want her to include you she will.. I am just going to keep a list and then let her know who wants to be included.

It is 98% chance that anyone waitlisted with Carol for main dining will get it if they link with the group.

This just links us to sit near each other not at the same table. If you already have it set up with your TA to sit with a specific family you can still do that. This just links us to sit all near each other in a specific location in the dining room.

Hi all,
We are still booked. I am hoping our new superintendent of schools will give us back our fall break. We let the boys miss two days of school this year to add to the two days they were given to go to WDW.
Son #1 got sick before and even had minor surgery. It seems whenever I PLAN to let them miss school everything goes wrong! Anyway, I hope it works out and we will definately wait for the next years schedule, but I learned a lesson from this year.
I purposely haven't read this thread for a while, not wanting to get my hopes up to much. I did want to say hello though and am still praying we can make this cruise!

We are going to try and get early dining. We just had a 5:30pm seating on our last cruise and we loved it. Hopefully Carol will be able to link all of us who want early and we can all get it.

Wow, have you guys looked at some of the post counts on some of the other cruise meet threads? The is one for May 10,2008 that has over 35000 posts aleady!!! Yikes, there are individual people with thousands of posts each there. Wonder what they talk about all the time?

Not sure what they talk about but lots of times it is just random things. Last cruise thread we played the question game and that got our post count way up there. It was fun little way to get to know one another. Someone started out with a random \question who ever answered it had to ask another one and so on. It was fun....

About using points in other locations, no I have not had the opportunity yet. However, we are planning to use up the remaining points we will have banked for our stay after the cruise (Pts. will expire 2/28/09 as they are banked from '07...We are using all our '08 points for our OKW stay this Feb). We could stay at SSR again after the cruise, but that would leave us with 25 points in our account that I know will not be used before expiration. So, I talked to DVC and decided to stay at Poly most likely after the cruise, which costs more points ultimately, but will not leave us with a balance of forfeited points either.

DVC did warn me that I should book the Poly before the end of this year, as they have changed some rules. Most importantly, there will be a $95 exchange fee charged when using DVC points for someplace other than a DVC resort. Even though I am booking on an exchange into 2008, I will not incur the fee as long as I book before the end of 2007. Another rule that changed is concerning the "no bookings allowed within 60 days of UY date" rule...It is changing to 4 months rather than 60 days. Just a couple of things to keep in mind while you are planning.

With another bambino on the way and the older ones getting busier at school, I probably will plan more trips on a yearly basis in June, so as to not take the kids out of school so much. They are now in 4th grade and 1st grade (never mind my high school senior planning to go to college ) and it will be come less sensible/justifiable to pull them from school so much in the future. Hopefully, with an annual plan of June trips, we will be able to handle the DVC points usage easier without potentially having unused points leftover/forfeited. We also hope to be able to use some points on occasion elsewhere that does not cause us to have to fly. We enjoy New Hampshire/Storyland and have already verified some points available locations there, as well as in Lancaster County, Pa, where my MIL lives. One trip at a time...My pregnancy mind cannot handle too many things at once these days!

I have been lurking and trying to keep up, but it's been busy around here! Connor had the pukes and poops on Monday morning, seemed find by Monday night, even wanting to eat and was bouncing off the walls. I sent him to school yesterday and after he came home, he crashed and burned. He put himself to bed at 7 and when I sent Colton up to get ready for bed at 8 he hollared back down, "MOM! Connor needs you! and you better bring the bleach bottle....and a mop!" Ugh. Needless to say, I spent the next 45 mins cleaning all THREE of my bathrooms since Connor used all of them! Then I stripped my bed because he had been watching TV in there and I was NOT taking any chances! Needless to say, he is home from school today to rest and rehydrate!

I was starting to think that we were the only family with late seating and not booked with Carol. I really need to figure out what to do. I suppose since we already have our rooms that she could still take over our ressie? I would just need to get it back from DU.

Didn't get the holiday lights outside yet. We cleaned up the yard and garage instead. Steve is off the Monday after T'giving and has promised to help me put them up then. I will go back to work on the Tuesday after T'giving. The lady I sit for wants to start weaning her way back to work, even though she technically would have another week of maternity leave. I think in the days before T'giving I'll go ahead and get all the Christmas Decor in the house out. Then I won't have anything to do once I go back to work.

Thats the west bound repo cruise. The east bound thread has almost 80,000 posts. Those cruises are likely 90 or 95 percent disers. I was hoping that my wonderful DW would give me the west bound repo for my birthday, since it departs on my BD....oh well, maybe next time.
