Hi everyone and welcome to the new cruisers. We just back from Washington D.C. We had a great time but boy will it wear you out. I can't wait for some real R&R. You know the kind where you don't have to load up in a shuttle bus or vehicle to go eat. Just call room service or go a couple of flights up. LOL. I know that sounds lazy but we are tired.

Guess What? My sister called me up and said that she thought that we should do a NYE cruise on the Wonder. WE ARE BOOKED!!! I can't believe it. I have never had to wait less than 365 days before the actual cruise date. It feels good.

How did figure all that out?

It really isn't hard I just copied and pasted the list from the main cruise meet page. If you go over to the side of our cruise meet thread, there are two sets of numbers. One is for the number of posts. If you click on that it will give you a list of everyone who has posted and the number of post for that thread. It does not correctly reflect the number of folks going because it show everyone who has ever posted and some folks have had a change of plans and others were just dropping by to say hi. But it is a good place to start.

It's me again lol I just have a question about using a TA, how much do they charge? we are considering using Kristen's TA but we don't know if we can since we're Canadians, would it matter? We are curently with Dreams Unlimited but we are having issues with them, like we can't get in touch with them either through Email or their website which we aren't able to access anymore. We are almost paid up so I don't know if we could still switch. :confused3 help!

The only way you would be able to is to cancel your reservation with DU then book it with her travel agent. They wont let you transfer your ressies.
We were going to do that but we would have lost our early dining, and the late dining would just be too late with liitle ones, so we are still with DU. There is a waiting list for early dining, and with 13 of us to consider, that would be difficult.

If you don't have your heart set on anything you have reserved, you could do it. If you do, you might want to do it quickly. This cruise is selling out fast.

She is awesome. I cancelled my previous reservation and moved to her because she is so caring and aims to please. I was also impressed with the idea of group rates, group amenities, statesroom gifts, etc.

Matter of fact, right now I have 2 cruises booked with her. One for NYE and the other for October 08.

You should be able to transfer your ressie to another agency. You would loose the benifits that the first agency gave you but you still should be able to do it. Is it DU that will not let you or Disney?

I believe the issue is that she can't get the TA to answer her e-mails. I don't think that the TA stated that the Ressies are not allowed to be transfered.

I do believe that as long as they are not paid in full that a person can request that the ressies be transfered. I could see however some TA dragging their feet and not getting it done in a timely manner. Asking when she has them on the phone might be the thing to do.

I read in some other threads where TA's are telling people they can only make so many payments on their cruise. In fact the lastest report was a TA who said that the next payment had to be in full. This TA took the deposit and then didn't want to work until the cruise was paid in full. I know some folks perfer this but I have a tendency to spend it unless it is given to a bill. So I make payments almost every month.

Well I guess that is enough said. I hope the issues with DU and your TA are easy to resolve. I believe if the TA is gone another needs to take over and answer the E-mail but I know it just dosen't work like that. Lois

We tried to transfer and DU told they couldn't do that. We would have to cancel with them. If we would have booked with DCL we could have transfered. But because DU is a TA and we wanted to transfer to another TA, they wouldn't do it.

We're in London about 2 hours SouthWest of Toronto. Good to hear they'll be more Canadians on the cruise:thumbsup2
 
we were booked with dcl and called carol zwerner (1-866-522-0312) of cruise planners (www.**************@dfwcruises.com). she was able to transfer our ressies over plus give extra onboard credit in addition to that we received for booking on our disney visa card.

We booked with Carol Zwerner as well this time rather than DU and have been very impressed with her service so far...Yeah for Carol!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 She is always available by phone and went out of her way to get our requested cabin assignments reserved for us! :)
 
Most travel agents are going to tell you that you can't transfer it to another agency because they don't want to loose the booking. If you called disney directly I think you could explain everything and have your booking moved. Usually it requires additional paperwork but it can usually be done. I know that DU has now called but I figured this was info everyone could use.
