morning all !!!!! had to go to church this morning since Josh was doing a reading....he did so well and it was so cute to see all the children going up and reading. And tomorrow he's got a dance presentation with his class. We also have to go to his school in the afternoon for a bookfair, the boys said they want to get new books LOL

Hello all!!!!
Today is going to be a litttle busy for me!!! I have a hair appoinment in an hour, that will take a couple of hours!! Then I'll stop at Joanne's for some fabric, pick the girls up from school, take Shannon to work, pick her up later then go and play dodgeball!!! So I probably won't be around much!!!

I hope everyonw has a great day!!!!!

I got an email from them to join the list. I am trying to coax them out from lurking mode!!

I too want to hear from NC Cains, esp. if that means they are from North Carolina!

I've finally caught up to all of you! Missed pretty much 3/4s of the thread 4, so just skipped through the early thread 5 and have arrived to the present day!

Did I miss anything and everything??? I think I saw a few new names as I cruised through the thread?

Our Passports finally arrived a few weeks ago -- yeah! The three girls think they are hot-snot now, even the 3-1/2 year old put her serious face on for her passport photo (while wearing a high school musical shirt, no less).

And I've already marked up the new 08 Disney Cruise Passporter Book! Wow! Definitely worth the $$.

Good Afternoon everyone!

well, the surgeon is wasting no time! Steve will have his gall bladder out on Friday at 1030am! His preadmission testing is Wednesday and we'll have to be at the hospital at 930 on Friday! My neighbor and friend works in the one day surgery center. I called her earlier to see if she is working on Friday, but she wasn't home...I am assuming she is probably at work today!
I went with Steve this morning and Jennifer stayed home for the morning. Well, the Dr was WAY late...we sat in the exam room for almost 45 mins! That put Jennifer later to work then she would have liked. Personally, I find it rude for a Dr to be that far behind. At least TELL us what is going on.

I'll check back later!

That stinks about the Dr. being late, I hate that! I'm glad you know what it is and will get it fixed quickly. That will give him plenty of time to recover. Did they decide they cannot do the lap procedure? Tell him he is not the only one of us to be missing a gallbladder.

Oh gosh Michele,, Ny neighbor just had her gall bladder out. Please know we are thinking of him!!!!

thanks everyone! We appreciate the prayers and good vibes! :goodvibes

the Dr WILL be able to take it laproscopically! That's a good thing. He said that times have changed and weight doesn't play a role in the decision any more. Steve will be off for 2 weeks. It's done as an outpatient. I have my friend lined up to take my kids for the evening if we are not back by dinner time.

Steve is suppose to go on a school field trip with Connor on the 9th. They are taking charter buses to Pittsburgh, PA for the day. I have already paid for the trip, so ONE of us has to go! Honestly, I don't wanna, but I will if he isn't up for it! I have already warned Jennifer! LOL

Time to get dinner going so I can make the PTO meeting.

I know how hard it is when doctors are late, but having been on the other end of things (when Sean was really sick, having trouble with the hospital/nurses/etc) I was so thankful that our surgeon was there to handle it. Yes, sometimes it did make him late when seeing patients in the office, but as a parent it really meant a lot to me knowing that he cared so much about our son. AND I have experienced the other way too... sitting in the office waiting, sometimes for up to 2-3 hours. And I know, because of my personal experiences with him, it is because he is helping someone out in the hospital, whether it be an emergency surgery, or a patient who is really sick. For that reason I can forgive his lateness... at least with our surgeon I know that it is not due to lack of respect for our time, but because he puts his patients first. Always....

Hope that helps a little! :)

Hello all!!!!
I hope everyone is having a good day!!!

Michele, I hope all goes well with Steve!!! At least he'll have time to recover before the cruise!!! Sending good thoughts and prayers your way!!!

I went to my hair appointment and left my hairdresser very relaxed..he gives the best scalp massages!!
Then I went to Joanne's to pick out some fabric, I knelt down and pulled a muscle in my thigh.....OUCH!!! So much for being relaxed!! Now I am sitting on my couch with an ice pack on it and I took a couple of Motrin!!
I pulled the muscle last night too, but the pain subsided and I was able to go in the treadmill. I'm hoping that will happen tonight, otherwise I won't be able to play dodgeball!!! UGH!!
I have to go get the girls soon. Maybe I'll be back later!!

Evening everybody

Bright sunny day here. Michele, good luck with everything on Friday. I'll be thinking of your family. Things are busy here again this week. At some point tonight i have to make cookies for my last CCD class of the year tomorrow and get dinner cooked. All I want to do is climb into bed for a nap LOL. Saturday we're headed up to Richmond for a conference, but no race, which is kind of a bummer. Maybe we'll go next year.

And what's this about lurkers?

Lord knows its tough to keep up jumping in is good too.

Back later maybe

Thank you for your advice yesterday.

We went with the majority and booked this morning at SSR.

That's great Michele that they can do the LAP! I had mine done that way on a Thursday, and had to be back running my daycare business on Monday. What fun!

Oh my goodness, Erika!!! that's a little soon, isn't it? They told him he would be on a lifting restriction for 4 weeks too...nothing over 15 pounds. I hope he recovers as quickly as you did!!!

Been to the PTO meeting...what a mess.....

Have to tuck in the boys and then I am going to don my jammies. It's just been a blustery day...even had to turn the heat back on! And I just want my flannels! LOL
