Just wanted to pop in and say hi!!!!
DSD just called and told me she just purchased their airline tickets!!!!
She is relieved....unfortunately we are flying into 2 different airports, so we will have to meet at the port Friday evening. We were actually hoping to work it out to where we would catch a flight here from LA to Phoenix, pick them up, and all fly out there together. But it turned out to be very expensive!!!
That's okay.....we'll be spending a lot of time with each other once we meet up at the port!!! We figure, we would arrive at the port about an hour apart, so that's not too bad!!!

I won't be on later tonight or too much tomorrow...I've got a really busy weekend. I should be ready to chat on Sunday!!!!!

Hello everyone! A busy but fun day today! Took the boys to school, went to Walmart and got the 2 weeks worth of groceries! That was nice! I was there at 730 am, and it was like the store was open for just me! Got all that put away and headed to my friends to get her and then we headed to the mall! She got a new comforter set for her guest bedroom and then we headed to the Clinique counter to snag our free gift! I got a new bottle of Happy perfume. I've been wearing it for like 5 years now, but I still like it! Then we went to Chili's and stuffed ourselves, then to Michaels just to "see what they had", and then headed home! Oh and I also stopped at Game Stop and got Colton a game he has been begging me for.....Prince of Persia something or other. There are 3 different versions for PS2 and one for the Wii. Since they were used, and only $18, I got him one for each system. If he decides he doesn't like either one or both, we can take them back since they are used!

I think we are going to have burgers on the grill tonight. I also got Strawberry Daiquiri mix so I'll whip up a batch of those too! the boys LOVE the non-alcoholic version, so that's what it'll be!

Gas. Ugh. We are at $3.65/gallon. I am going to have to park my truck. See, when I take Colton to the bus, I then drive Connor to school. That way we all leave the house at 710. BUT, with gas going up and up, I NEED to start putting Connor on the bus and then walking my butt to work! That means we'll have to leave the house at 645 to get Connor on the bus at 650, walk back and send Colton to the bus at 710, then I can walk to work at 730. Really, The only time I'd have to drive is to go to church on Sunday, Choir practice on Wednesday and then to the store if need be! I hope John McCain's idea of dropping the 18.5% tax for the summer pans out! That would drop gas by what? 70 cents a gallon?? okay, 67.5 cents per gallon! $2.98 sounds a LOT better! (but can we go back to $1.99??)

I just found the 2008-2009 school year calendar! Our kids will miss 6 days! YIKES! Thurs and Friday before the cruise and then Tues- Friday of the cruise. Monday, Columbus Day, is the only holiday in that time frame. Oh well..... Hopefully, thier teachers will be okay with it! Colton's 6th grade teachers were VERY good about it. He was given a good bit of the work before we left and then he did a report/presentation on the Mayan Ruins! Maybe we can do a report on St Thomas since we are going on Godfrey's tour! Connor can teach everyone how to make Banana Daiquiris!

no, but I did try some crispy mint ones the other day... those were good, for sure! I HAVE been enjoying juicy pear jelly belly's.. sigh... I remember walking through the factory when they were making them.. to die for!

Juicy Pear is a gooood flavor!

I haven't seen the Mint ones, but a few months ago, maybe it was around Valentine's Day, M&M had a Raspberry M&M. Those were SO good! Better then the Wild Cherry. The funny thing is, I am not a cherry person. I wouldn't order Cherry Pie, I always take the Cherry off a sundae, and I won't touch the chocolate covered cherries at Christmas time! BUT these M&Ms are really good!!!!!

Fixed burgers on the grill, cripsy crown taters and Bush's new Grillin' Beans....bourbon and brown sugar. They smell really good. I hope they taste as good!

It's still so pretty outside! Tomorrow we are suppose to get the rain that the midwest is having and not be as warm, maybe 68, which will feel colder with the rain.

I just joined a "Biggest Loser: 5 week challenge over on the Wish board....it starts to day if anyone is interest....

You just have to PM your weight to the list keeper (Joannel) by midnight tonight if you want to join.....thought it would be a great motivator for weight loss for the cruise!!!

It's gone! LOL I think I decided that it's the rum. All I have is dark rum and it really changes the taste of the drink! I'll have to get some light rum. I have pineapple, but I wonder if that would taste funny with the strawberry mix?
