The babies are sleeping so I am sneeking on for a few minutes!

Connor is fine and is going to live! If you didn't know to LOOK for the tooth repair, you would not even know it's there. Thankfully.

Colton, on the other hand, is a mess! We finally got him fully recovered from the flu and the lingering cough, and at 330 this morning, he started, shall we say, with stomach distress? The bleach bottle and I are becoming fast friends! I think I may have to put it in a squirt bottle and carry it in a holster on my hip!

I left you all on page 23 the other day...now we are close to 63. I AM going to go back and read it all...and take notes along the way! I hate that I have missed so much!

I better go check on the babies...it's almost TOO quiet in the house!

Phew! I am finally caught up! Let's see...

No, I have not printed the door signs yet. Seems my DH decided to give away our color deskjet, so I think I am going to get some cardstock and print them and then attach magnets on the back...or slip them into clear plastic and put magnets on the back of that...we'll see.

We got Sterns anf Foster mattresses...but I can't remember the style or model. I know they are latex.... and were comfy to lay on! I hope they are going to be okay. The store has a 30 day comfort guarentee...but I would hate to have to return them! They are also guarenteed for 20 years...non-prorated! That I like!

Heidi, I love the cake topper you picked! It's beautiful! I hope my boys will be healthy by the time we cruise! This has just been INSANE!

Krista, we got your chocolates today! THEY ARE PHENOMANOL!!!! OMG. I could eat them all! Any tips to your recipe??

Speaking of recipes, I have made a mental note to make only 1/2 of the chili recipe. Steve and I really like chili, but the boys could do without. If I make that much, it might....dare I say it...go to waste!

Kristin, did you post the recipe for the cinnamon cake? The boys would love that on Saturday morning! I am glad you were able to work everything out with the contractors! Can't wait to see the photos!

Candy, Can we come and play in your sandbox NOW!?? It was 75 Monday, it snowed here this morning. it will be in the 50's tomorrow and then snow again on Friday into Saturday. It's no wonder everyone around me is sick! CONGRATS on the new laptop! We have a Dell Inspiron 9300and so far, so good. Steve is actually concidering getting another for him and letting the boys have the desktops.

Congrats to Kevin for starting school!! they are just like little sponges and soaking in everything! there are times I think Connor is smarter then me! When the boys asked why they couldn't be homeschooled, I said, "Because you would have to teach me!"

Erika, I love the couches you have picked, but I think I like the looks of the first one better! Good luck picking!

mmmmm, that sounds good! I just had a piece of Sara Lee Chocolate Dream pie. My problem is I am a stress eater...and I am SERIOUSLY feeling the stress this week!

I have to confess that the crumb cake was from a box.. I do have a recipe for one..
Here is the one that I have used before:

Streusel Coffee Cake

This is an easy streusel coffee cake, baked in a square or round layer-cake pan.
INGREDIENTS:
Topping:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sifted all-purpose flour (sift before measuring)
1/4 cup butter, room temperature
1 teaspoon cinnamon
.
Cake:
1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour (sift before measuring)
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
3/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup melted butter
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
PREPARATION:
Topping. In small mixing bowl, combine topping ingredients. Blend with fork until crumbly. Set aside.
Sift 1 1/2 cups sifted flour with baking powder and salt into a bowl. In a medium bowl, beat together beaten egg and 3/4 cup sugar and 1/3 cup melted butter. Add milk and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture and mix well.

Pour batter into a greased and floured 8-inch square or 9-inch layer-cake pan. Sprinkle topping crumb mixture evenly over batter. Bake at 375° for 25 to 30 minutes, or until cake tests done. Partially cool in pan on wire rack. Cut coffee cake into squares while still warm.

I am soooooo tired tonight, I did way too much today and now I feel it!!
had to shovel the driveway AGAIN this morning from all the snow we got last night, then I decided to fold the laundry, then I washed the floor, vacuumed, cleaned the aquarium.... phew.... I'm beat LOL so now I'm sitting and not moving until I go to bed later on.!

oh and Michele, Kevin doesn't start school until Sept. he just went for a few hours to get introduced to school environment. it's a program they have here for pre-schoolers to get them familiar with school so when the time comes they are not so nervous about the whole thing.

Brian is going to make the chili tomorrow night to take with him to scouts over the weekend. Poor guy gets to make dinner for 10 hungry boy scout dads... LOL! Awwww.... figured that chili and cornbread would be easy AND filling. He is a little concerned about the BEANS part of it though, any suggestions as a replacement?

That coffee cake looks yummy! I made enchilada's tonight for dinner and really NEED something sweet now to calm my mouth a bit!
