Well I don't have the smartest mail system, I have had three different mail carriers deliver me CHOCOLATES!!!!

Thanks Kristin, love the bag!!! and thanks to Michelle and Alex for the goodies, love the tin and I counted 4 hidden Mickeys....am I right, will you send more chocolate as a prize just kidding.

I'm not sure that my idea of the chocolate swap was such a good idea right before we leave for Florida, I'm expanding as we speak.

Has anyone actually used the wireless internet onboard the ship? DH may have to do some WORK while on the cruise (urgh!) since due to recent layoffs he is the only one at his company with the knowledge in his area of expertise... they WILL pay the $$ for it thankfully, but we were curious to know how good the connection is (especially at those prices!). Sure do hope it doesnt end up happening, he needs a REAL break for a change!

hello everyone....the weekend is here
(that means more to all of you that work cuz my days are still running into one another, sleep is a priviledge not a right)

I've eaten so much chocolate this past week my teeth are hurting. I am due for a dentist appt. i must have cavities.

Maggie turns 12 this Sunday and Rebecca will be one month old. Mag is having a skating/sleepover party and I am keeping with the chocolate theme and making chocolate fondue for dessert. (she doesn't like cake)

I have used it, it's just slow. Kinda pricey for what you get....but I usually get it anyway. There was talk of putting wireless in the stateroom areas, but don't know if that happened yet....

Evening everyone!

Did anyone see Jon & Kate + 8 on Oprah today? I missed the first 10 mins as I had to get Colton off the bus and then clean up where the dogs dug in the trash today! Ggrrr.... they LOVE tissues and papertowels! I am sure they were in Heaven! Anyway, what I saw of it was good. I wish I could watch the whole thing though. Any idea if Oprah is replayed later on another channel?

Time to finish making dinner and then take Connor to a birthday party!

Looks like I will be home tonight to chat!!!!! Shannon's horseback riding drill team practice was cancelled because of the rain!!!! .......ooops, I'm supoosed to be sad (for Shannon).. I'm trying but I can't help myself!! LOL

Can I ask who you used for a TA? If you don't want to say here just PM me. I asked DU about adding the air to our cruise. It's not that they were not helpfull, I did get an answer, just not the one I wanted. It sounds like we can add the air but cannot leave the day before unless we are ready to pay the deviation fee which is apparantly astronimical. I didn't think we would be able to get AirCan but it was worth a try, doesn't look like we could get them.
This is Nancy's hubby by the way, J and K have comendered my laptop and are playing games on treehouse.

We originally booked this trip on our last cruise, last sept directly through DCL. When we came home I transferred the reservations to TD travel (just because I have Td gold visa and could cash in some points to put towards it). They took the bookings no problems I changed our flights to the day before and a night at the Hyatt in MCO ( this is the hotel DCL uses) all for $169 more... no brainer I thought.
These flights were not done by our TA, but rather DCL did them for us. The have an alliance with Air Canada. I think the flights worked out to about $450 each, which includes transfers to the terminal. Friends of ours from Bowmanville who are coming as well booked through Sears. Did exactly the same as us.
Now last year when we booked I was told we could not deviate from our flights. After several calls to our TA I finally got them to talk to DCL directly and thats when they found out it could be done.
Its possible your TA agent is booking the air separately on there own and not through DCL. Be persistant with them telling them it can be done. Were proof! There 9 of us doing it from the Toronto area, just so we can start the cruise with MNSSHP.
That would be great if you could get onto the same flight as the rest of us. I think our flight leaves around 8:30 or 9am.
Its going to be a fun week

I know you can make pretty well any changes (add/delete items)you want up until the 100 day before departure mark. So it should have nothng to do with the fact you didn't book it originally.

A little FYI for ya. Were pricing out flights for our August trip to WDW, and found if we fly from Buffalo to MCO with JetBlue. The cost is $800CDN return. The baby is free. Not bad it thought. WestJet was $1700.

They do for people who have already booked........go to their website, click on client services, type in your ressie number and password, then click on contact info. there is a toll free number that you can call. We've done that before for questions we had. I hope this helps.

They do, but it's buried so far deep in their website, it is very difficult to find. If you have a ressie with them, log in to view your ressie, and dig. It's there somewhere.....or it used to be. I have called it.

I think one of issues is that were flying from Canada and DU is a US tour operator. It just requires the agent to do some more work.
I find anytime I'm on the phone talking to my TA they put me on hold, get DCL on the other line and relay my requests and changes diretly to them.

*Sigh*OK this is painfull, you can all get air travel except for the guy who actually works for an airline!
I asked DCL and they told me they cannot do anything because we switched our ressie to DU so they own it now. DU told me the only way we can travel the day before is if we are coming from the west. I will ask again and try to explain a bit too them. If it doesn't work out we will probably use our airmiles and get our flights that way. We did look at Jetblue and Delta and the prices were pretty good, I just rather leave from Pearson because it's only an hour and a half drive from here.
